  1. Bluewater is the wrong side of London for a Friday nights traffic round the M25. It would take me 2-3 hours to get there.

TBH, I'm easy about the venue. Bluewater would be a similar 3+ hour trek for me also.

As an alternative, how about Brent Cross shopping centre?

Failing that, we could do a 'Camden crawl' or investigate some other part(s) of Londinium.

For dates, I'm thinking Fri 21st Sept (I've booked it off work already!)

Any other takers for this meet?

  2. yeah, I thought the same about www.bellisimostores.com

If those boots were American made though, the 'size 9' would presumably have been a UK size 7.

For that reason, I'd guess they're UK made.

That Archway Road shop has its own (very basic!) website:-

    www.bellissimoshop.co.uk

The boots could possibly be theirs, although I wouldn't put any money on it!

  3. There'd been some discussion about this in the 'UK lunch time meet (Reading)' thread but not much has happened on it in the last few weeks.

Bluewater Shopping Centre had been suggested: http://www.bluewater.co.uk/

Anyone fancy spending a "long summer evening" there?

There's plenty of shoe shopping choice by the look of it -

Aldo; Animal; Barratts; Clarks; David & Goliath; Dolcis; Dune; Evans; Faith; Fiorelli; Geox; Hargreaves; Hobbs; House of Fraser; John Lewis; Jones Bootmaker; Joseph; Karen Millen; L K Bennett; Laura Ashley; Marks & Spencer; Massimo Dutti; Mr Shoes; Murphy and Nye; Next; Nine West; Office; Ravel; Russell & Bromley; Schuh; SheRunsHeRuns; Shoon; Urban Outfitters; Vibe; Wallis; Zara

My suggested date for this meet is Friday 14th Sept but I'm open to other date suggestions. Come to that, i'm open to other venue suggestions too.

    So... any takers??? 8)

  4. How much 'space' does your high heels interest/passion/craze take up of your life?

Just the back of my wardrobe so far! (oh, and I keep a couple of pairs of boots in my car as well) 8)

How much of your heart is conquered by high heels? Is life manageable or difficult yet possible or impossible without?

Life is manageable, although that largely means keeping a heavy lid on it. If I had a free-reign to endulge this 'hobby', I'm sure I would investing far more time and money in it than at present. I would certainly wear heels at weekends but that's just not viable in today's social climate. I would also do far more proactive shoe shopping - i'm still a bit of a 'womans section lurker' in that respect.

Anyway how much does it mean to you?

Actually, it means quite a lot to me. It has been 'with me' for so many years now - since childhood I guess. It's obviously part of who I am.

  5. Another vote here for black. I have a couple of pairs of dark brown knee boots too which I really like so I might buy more of those in the future. I've owned boots of other colours but didn't much like any of them, including; - white "ABBA" platform knee boots - white J-Lo style ankle boots Both far too 'showy' for my taste.
