  1. hi Smudgeur never mind, youll brave it sooner or later! PM me if your up for a trip again,i find monday evenings fairly good as generally not so many shoppers and the assistants have more time to help you, just my experience.Oh and i wouldnt worry about 'men',i have been trying on shoes for ages now and have never had any remarks, people tend to look away as if your a crazy man! lol

  2. I dont know why (and before you read on i am not sizeist!) but they really look like a rather large 'person' and i mean large......(see no sexism either!) has tried them on a squashed/buckled the heel rendering the whole 'shoe' look to be,shall we say spoilt...!!!! some what!!! sadly not my style.........

  3. Well we all have opinions and mine is swayed by pussyinboots for this one. But i do love designers for there innovative styles which nearly always end up as a similar style on the high street, although i cant see the designs pictured by majo will get there, call me a skeptic if you wish! I would still love to try them out though just for the novelty!

  4. hi eggnog,i will 'stick'(stamen whatever!) with the ear theory,i have an allotment and havent grown tulips like that! star trek has been going on so long it certainly feels like a book, but it has a times got a bit monotonous,i guess once you get to my grand old age the script writers forget us oldies have seen similar stories in previous episodes,i still watch them though, much to the dismay of my family members! i have a suggestion eggnog, put a pic in of your fav shoes instead! its not that i dont admire your artistic endeavour i am sure you have now perfected the art of 'eared' tulip painting! ...LOL

  5. sadly i missed the boots etc....but i know what i will be doing in London 2012...heading out of town and watching on telly...unless some corporate sponsers give me a ticket! with travel and food included! still i suppose i could rent my flat out as i live right by wimbledon tennis lol!

  6. I still heel in 'secret' as such,my wife knows and 'grudingly' tolerates my 'habit'!,but seeing as i keep at least five or six pairs under a chair in view its not really a secret! She at last has accepted that its a part of me that is'nt going away,so when the 'kids' or should i say young adults are out i can wear them.Funny thing is i think they may have guessed who owns the shoes by now! I will say though it did take a momumental shift on her part to see things from my view, neither of us are perfect and it was sort of a question of is the grass greener on the other side? or should i say better the devil you know! still its work in progress....strangely it took us nearly splitting up over different matters to bring everthing to where we are today...give a bit ,take a bit in my case!

  7. i did love star trek as a kid,but got bored once star wars hit the scene. But i really enjoyed the last film, think it is one of the best as a sense of humor has returned!! one question eggnog, what is your avatar!!!! looks like a giant ear gone wrong!!!

  8. hi,i was just wondering if any of you interesting people have ever been shopping at bicester village,to see if you rated it at all? as i am thinking of making a trip there poss tomrrow or monday cheers bladerunner

  9. So far because of the sales! i always blame the sales! i reckon about 20 pairs poss more come to think of it! latest addition being a pair of fendi sheepskin boots via ebay today.Still should calm down a little now as i'm not into summer styles as much, butttt! apparently clog style shoes are back in fashion this year so looks like i may keep blowing a hole in my budget!!!!
