hi danielp6406,yep those beige wedges are really really comfortable,a bit awkward to get on ,but they fit like a glove. sharpLeather, these clog style are great (and comfortable),they have a rubber tread sole which curves towards the front which makes them really easy to walk in,just had to have them!

pussyinboots your starting to scare me now! 'Then of course there is the practicality and safety issue....high heels are noriously tricky things on badly made pavements and streets, and not too clever in bad or snowy weather either. They are also not the best things to be wearing if you need to run for a bus or a train...and they are not too clever on escalators either. There are also plenty of women who refuse to drive in high heels as well.' still there will always be diehards and risk takers like us here! but on this 'badly made pavements and streets' i have succombed more than once!

gina, looks fine to me............whats done is done.............you look great, and that was when you are unwell..........look forward to another when you are well!!!!!!!

I have to say that zara shoes are on the small size, generally I take a 40 but zara 90% of my shoes from there are a 41, spainish girls must have smaller feet!!! So much for standardisation Think I might take up spainish seeing as almost all there staff in London speak it! They don't always seem to understand that yes I would like to try these on! (They have changing rooms ie male and female, slightly dated seeing they are independant cubicles) just a minor annoyance had to get off my chest! When I get time must post a few pics of my recent buys from there

Hi acesecret pity you didn't get her number, she sounds like a broad minded girl! were you heeling at the time? I assume you were in your ninewest shoes. I have had good experience with schuh but only from the staff (so far!)

I am staying in bristol this weekend and wanted to know if anyone can recommend a decent pub especially if they show irish sports ie hurling! Also any good restaurants to try? Will be at the novotel near templemead station so anything within walking distance better so I can have a beer or three!

Thought i would see if anyone-particularly the uk-has a favourite store to shoe shop in and any downsides. My top stores at the moment are zara, topshop and kurt geiger.Great choice of shoes especially kg/topshop and decent 'sofas and chairs' to try shoes on,zara not so good on this front with only changing rooms available unless you want to try shoes on the shop floor.

whats the dress code dr.shoe?!
-
well you've all made me very jealous was hoping somehow to get there but maybe next year, who knows.did any of you stay in nearby hotels? if so which ones and were you heeling ?

Hi aussieheels1,it would seem we are both in the same boat, when i read your thread i thought it was my thoughts exactly! when i'm out and about shopping etc i will check out all the styles, sometimes its just the type of material and craftsmanship that can make the difference, but i will say that the only style i have never bought or find that attractive are kitten heels, they just dont appeal to me at all,i do go through phases though and at the moment love clog style shoes just got a great pair from zara recently and they are very hard to remove! lol
-
it seems to vary with me,depends on the shoe etc but i have had them on all day ie 10hrs plus no problem at all and other times just an hour before they get sore.....mainly my left foot for some reason
-
Thats the problem pussyinboots,i cant get replacements!!!!! its not anything urgent either so hopefully during the summer i can try out respraying them
-
stick with the girls replys! but make sure you make some money for a worthy cause! good luck

i left some shoes in an opaque storage box by a window which did have a cover and ended up getting removed...dohhhh... so now the black suede and leather have discoloured,is there any way of restoring the shoes? shoe menders maybe? any advice gratefully received as one pair is an old fav of mine, cheers bladerunner
