  1. Did quite a bit of shopping lately. Been to Antwerp visiting my favourite store, New Look. Liked a lot of the heels but they didn't have most of them in my size so I ordered them through the website (pair 1 to 4).

From a nice lady on another website I got a pair of black Dr. Martens mary-janes which are very comfortable to wear. I've got a thing for DM's. When I saw the Jeffrey Campbell look-a-likes on an auction site I had to have them. They appear to be of good quality and where very cheap.

My thing for shoes started with platform sneakers in the late eighties early nineties. Didn't had the possibility back then to get me a pair. I always kept liking them and bought a few different styles a while back. When searching for them I ran into the brand "Max Star" quite a few times but didn't know when to get them. I was so jealous of the ladies I saw on the websites owning them and posting a review. When I finally found the webshop I let myself go nuts and bought four pairs. Three pairs of 'regular' and one pair of wedges. The 3rd pair and the wedges aren't in yet but im totally in love with those sneakers! :-)

  2. Hi

interesting that others in here also buy at deichmann ;-)

they really have some nice looking shoes from time to time.. thats where i got most of mine from...

and its always ok to bring them back in case you dont like them/they dont fit.

    greetings,

    cgwm

    Hi cgwm,

It's one of my favorite stores! In germany they have a bigger collection in the larger sizes. And I live fairly close to the german border so i can go there quite easy. Never had an odd look when trying on heels there. And i've been at most of them in the Leer to Oldenburg area. ;-)

    @Lime15

I love Iron fist, those are great and look good on you! :-)

  3. Picked these up last week, dunno if I'll ever wear them out, but I just loves how funky they are so I got them just for the having. That me trying them on in store :P

Looking good! The overall picture just seems right. An excellent look and great shoes! :-)

  4. Here are a few addittions that I got over the past few months. The first pair are cheap 'Louboutin'-ish style booties. Really liked them for a while but couldn't find them in my size, finally I found them in the German version of the Dutch store that had them. The German store (Deichmann) had so much shoes I liked I also bought four other pairs of shoes. The black basic pumps, very comfortable and I will wear them outside soon. The sneaker style heels I liked very much too and they do feel like normal sneakers. I got them in two colors (also a beige-ish/nude-ish kind of color). The sandals caught my eye aswell so I had to have them.

My latest purchase was a pair of Steve Madden Dejavu heels I've been wanting them for so long but found them too expensive. When they where on sale at a Dutch webshop I had to order them. They look amazing and I was totally in love with them, but they where a little too small. I decided to send them back.

  5. i wanted the Dejavu pump in black but they come in sizes up to 11 and i'm a 12.  what a downer!

I bought a pair in size 11 (EU42, largest available). I'm very much in love with them but they where just a tad too small :cry1 so I had to send them back. They looked amazing in my opinion.

  6. Wow, I love the black pumps and brown heels from the previous page, where did you get them? You pull off a great look i'm jealous of your legs. ;) I think it's great that you don't have to hide your heels. It's adorable your younger sister takes the pictures and the way you handle it I think it will make her a more open minded person later in life.

    Keep up enjoying heels! :)

  7. Here new heels I bought on my fist time out and wore them for awhile around town. They are extremely comfortable.

Golf or Jetta? :P And congrats on the new purchase and adventure :)
  8. Howdy,

Well, I have mentioned in another thread that I have lost some weight recently. Yeah, better health is a motivator however slightly smaller shoes size is even better.  Most of the last ten years or more I have been limited to 12W shoes from Payless or Torrid.  I have tried other brands in size 12M and they just don't work.  So as I have been losing weight I have noticed that I am starting to flip shoes off my feet as I walk.  So today I went into a Last Chance and scored a pair of 4.5-inch heel black patent pumps from Steve Madden for only $10.  I cannot tell you how many awesome pairs of Steve Madden shoes I have passed on because their size 12 M will not fit.  Now they do!!  I am very excited about that.  Only if Steve Madden still offered their heels in 12M. eBay and charity stores here I came.

I also am looking forward to heading out to the NIne West outlets that we have here in Phoenix.

    Best,

    Larry

The heel is 5½" with a 1½" platform and they feel very stable to walk in. The texture is softer to the touch than it looks, like suedette, and I'm thinking the mocha colour will look good with light blue stonewashed skinny jeans.

I have the black version and love them to bits :D they are very comfortable. Enjoy your purchase.
  10. HI interesting that you like the hidden wedge sneakers style, I find the wedge heel sneaker style footwear really easy to wear any where as a guy would, no one evet notices that your wearing a heel and ythey are so comfortableto wear all day, mine are about 3 inch high wedge and there better to walk in than guy s flat sole ones, regard s tim

I received them today but it was quite a dissapointment. The quality wasn't as good as i expected and the left shoe looked like it wasn't put together as it should. And when I had them on I didn't feel the wedge at all, they felt like wearing my regular sneakers. And for me it's not just about the looks but I also like to feel that i'm wearing something with a higher heel. So i'll send them back tomorrow.

  11. Figured this would be the appropriate thread for my recent adventure. I've been visiting my female friend which knows about my love for heels and supports me in it. We had the plan to go shopping in Antwerp for quite a while and a couple of days ago we went. When shopping I get more and more confident in trying on shoes. But since we where going to Antwerp, no one would know me there and I decided to try on as much as I like without any hesitation or shame. I haven't really been outside on footwear that couldn't be classified as "male appropriate". For convenience I wanted to wear shoes without laces to make trying on heels easier. Some basic pumps with low heel came to mind but I wasn't confident I could pull off wearing them all day so thats why I decided to go with ballerine flats. Me wearing the flats hardly got noticed outside. When we where in a store some people saw them but didn't give it a second glance. No one made a comment and I didn't notice others talk about it to eachother. One of my favorite stores is New Look. I was totally in love with their 'shoe cellar' and tried on a lot of shoes. It was quite busy and lots of other people saw me try on heels but the only gave it a short look and went on with their business. An employee who was restocking the shelves got a little uncomfortable when I asked if I could try on the shoes she was unpacking. The others didn't seem to mind and the ladies behind the register where very friendly. In the Steve Madden store the sales lady noticed my flats and gave me a friendy smile. To make a long story short, I had a GREAT experience shopping and trying on heels! I posted pics of my new shoes in the "Who has bought some new shoes" topic. :)
