  1. @HEELS2U

I changed them in the car because I don't feel safe driving in heels. I wouldn't want longer jeans because I like the shoe to be visible (for myself). And my friend was wearing Dr. Martens heels as well so she masked the sound. :cheeky:

    @Thighbootguy

Attached a picture of the other heels I brought. They are very comfortable and easy to walk in but she advised the larger heel due to the cobblestones. When I got out of the parking garage I was happy I took her advice! :fine:

It sure was nice to see another guy there. He was there with a (very good looking) female companion as well. He bought a pair of nude platforms that I've bought in pink the previous time we where there. :fine:

I forgot to mention one of the most important things in my initial message, of course I bought another pair of heels. They are kind of YSL sandal like, I will post some pics soon.

  2. Yet another one of these topics (maybe there should be a sticky for first outings?) but just wanted to share mu recent experience.

Last weekend i've been to Antwerp for shopping with a female friend. We've been shopping there before (I love New Look! ;-) ) but the previous times I thought about wearing heels but ended up wearing flats. This time I decided I should wear heels. I've been wanting to go out in heels for so long and my friend doesn't mind at all what I wear. As long as I feel comfortable. So I brought two pairs of heels and had her decide which ones where the smartest to wear and looked the best. She chose a pair of Dr Martens. I've added two pictures of the shoes I was wearing (with the same jeans coincidentally).

After driving to Antwerp I changed into the heels in the parking garage and we went to the city centre. For once my friend was walking faster than me since I was almost only used to walking on heels inside. Only did some walks outside in deserted nature area's. When we got out of the parking garage I was glad I chose the thicker heel since it was all cobblestones. At first it was all a little scary, especially when we went to a store with a game store across it and there where a lot of loud youngsters outside. But no looks or comments at all. So that calmed me down quite a bit. The rest of the experience was quite uneventfull actually. My friend told me a couple of people noticed but didn't give me a second look.

What was quite fun is that I ran into another guy at New Look shopping for heels with a female friend. They both noticed me wearing heels and we exchanged smiles. Didn't engage in a conversation though. The way he was strutting around in the heels showed that it wasn't his first time either. It was a nice encounter none the less!

So my conclusion after this experience, going out is fun and nowhere near as scary as I thought! I surely will be doing it again (in more feminine heels).

  3. Don't have a (female) friend where you can get them delivered? Thats how I did things at first. Or just order them and have an excuse ready. Ones I have used are:

    - They are a gift for a friend.

    - I have asked in advanced if a friend can have something delivered at out place since it's a surprise for her sister.

    - I picked them up for a friend and i'll take them next time i'll visit there.

  4. True and the exposure is good and it could be a good thing. The other side of doing it like this; (i'm not saying he's doing something wrong, not saying that at all! :) I found it quite cool he enjoys himself so much and does what he does.) might be that it could enhance the stereotype that you must be gay if you wear heels as a man. But I guess that will always be one of the 'struggles'. :)

  5. A little more positive perspective: On the other hand you're going out as you look for everybody to see. So if more people see you as you are (if he puts the pic online) thats not that different. Some people might post negative comments but that also happens with other pictures even of the most beautiful person alive (just an example) some people will find something to compain about. And I'm gonna destroy a dutch saying here since translating usually doesn't work but gonna do it anyway: people better laugh about you than cry about you. ;)

It's kinda rude to just take pics of people but it's not the worst bad experience possible either as i've read about people being physically and verbally abused as well.

  6. I've been wanting a pair of chunky boots for quite a while and had been eyeballing this pair on the New Look site. But I found them a little expensive, but when they where on sale I ordered them. They are no doubt chunky! They are quite comfortable and I love how they look.

Also got a pair of real Jeffrey Campbell's. Took me ages scouting a local second hand site but I finally have my almost new pair for less than a third of the retail price. I'm very happy!

  7. I was meaning this kind of shoes...https://www.google.it/url?sa=i&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=images&cd=&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=0CAcQjRw&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.aliexpress.com%2Fpopular%2Fiijin-shoe.html&ei=5N-3VPOlGIjcPcqXgZAK&bvm=bv.83640239,d.bGQ&psig=AFQjCNEmpbBkvnTAYb2QYltf1BTka_63PQ&ust=1421422937808171

they call them elevator platform shoes but they have a hidden wedge as well...

i would be curious to try one pair but price aside, sizing is an issue, asian sizes are smaller..

I ordered shoes like that from Maxstar (http://www.maxstarstore.com). They are a korean company and their support and delivery was excellent. I wanted the non-wedge ones attached below in the black version but those weren't on the site at the time. So contacted them to ask about the black ones and they told me to order any other color and explain in the comment with the order I wanted the black ones. And I got the black ones delivered as I asked for.

Size-wise I ordered them in US10 (Women) and they fit great. Their conversion table states US10 as 41,5 EU and it's spot on in my opinion. I absolutely love them and they are very comfortable to wear. Even wear them to work since the look unisex to me. :-)

  8. I thought heels an hose was it. But you guys are getting me interested in nailpolish as well!

It has been a while since i've posted here so here goes... My latest purchases where four pairs of New Look heels. They have a sale so I couldn't resist (pic 1 to 4). :cheeky:  I've been a fan of the JC Lita's but original ones are so expensive. When I found these look-a-likes I had to have them. Lots cheaper (paid €10,-) and they are very comfortable. The studded sandals where given to me by a friend. She ordered them and they where way too large for her. For me they are on the large side as well but this makes them very comfy. I'm a sucker for heeled booties so when Zalando had a sale I had to order those as well... shoe-a-holic anyone?
