  1. I just got these about a week ago. The heel is 4" and they're very comfortable and fit tightly around the calves when zipped up. They are wear anywhere boots.

I came home today to a bit of a surprise. There was a second pair of these boots delivered to me from Miguel. Same size, same fit, the only thing is that I didn't order them? I sent Miguel an email about it. My card hasn't been charged, it appears to be a mix up by his shipping people? I'll probably wind up buying them anyway.. LOL

  2. Steve Madden Gwenn clog boots. They're over the knee (barely), tops can cuff down about 3 inches, leather with real wood soles. The total heel height (partly hidden) is 6 inches and the platform is 1 inch, size 11. They're comfortable, solid feeling to walk in, and will definitely be worn out of the house on occasion.

Last fall they were $299, I got them last week on SmartBargains.com for $80.

I like them too. They're very sharp looking. Unfortunately, I could never walk well in them myself. The heel's too high for me. Good on you for being able to pull it off!

  3. I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. It seems that this way worked well for you.....and whatever way that keeps people together is cool in my book.

I'm sorry as well to hear about your loss.

  4. Where else but Miguel Jones? LOL I saw them for sale on his website and he had a pair in my size so I went for it. I must have looked like a buffoon hobbling with one boot on this morning while I was taking pictures of the other. LOL Charlie

  5. Since winter has ended I have been able get out heeling and enjoy my new boots that I have purchased recently.

Two pairs, first pair is from Paul Bond Boots, 20" Ostrich leather, 4" heel Western boot, custom made so I went for the max and glad I did.

They are awesome, wore them all day yesterday fit perfectly, even bought a belt to match them in Italy last week goes well with my long inseam jeans.

Second pair is a Trouve booties from Nordstrom, was looking for the Alliance Boot but they were sold out so I got these instead, perfect fit and on sale which made them a good purchase. Wearing these with a black slack and polo shirt. Enjoying spring in my new boots!

  6. Many thanks for your greetings :-)

@heelguy: It's no as simple as you're thinking :-( Of course there's nothing wrong with homosexuality! But living in a very conservative part of Germany as I do you'll get into some kind of trouble if people are thinking you're gay. Problems getting jobs, become an outsider being ignored, ... Living in (big) cities makes somethings much easier but I live on the countryside. Being spotted wearing HighHeels as man is a 'no go' :-(

    How about something like this?

  7. I dont have any ' hang ups ' on titles. I have both ' mens ' and ' womens ' pants. I was just curious as to how it would be percieved.

I like draw string or elastic waist pants. I also like pants that gather around the ankle most of the time. Sweat pants are kind of a ' model ' that I seem to enjoy wearing as they are light, non restrictive and pretty comfortable for myself.

I have some meetings coming up for some project work and a few weddings/baptisms that will require ' nicer ' apparel. I cant really go to these events looking like the cat just dragged me in off the streets  .

I did pick up some materials yesterday. White linen and some black stretch material that has some lycra in it. Both are pretty pliable or light. I have to see what My friend comes up with and post some pictures for everyone.

If you buy a pair of jeans from the women's section and they don't have flowery patterns embroidered into them or stitching in the shape of hearts or whatever, you'll have no issues wearing them. I recently bought some women's stretch pants (not jeans) that are snug but not tight around the legs and have a decent bootcut. They look very dressy. I bought them in black and navy blue. I wear them to work all the time and have received nothing but compliments on them. The biggest drawback to women's styled pants are the small pockets. I find that the fit and look are so good that I'm willing to overlook this drawback. All the men's pants that I see on the racks are too baggy for my tastes...

  8. Of course they're men's jeans if they're to be yours. Don't get hung up on the men's and women's thingie.. I've worn women's styled jeans for over a decade now and nobody has ever been the wiser. Charlie

  9. Smart move Legs777777! Here in the U.S. I can explain what would likely have happened... You'd have been expected to leave your home while still paying for it and your ex-wife's alimony along with most of the divorce expenses as you were the one who was the cause of it all in the first place. Add to that child support if you have children. If your ex-wife was savy, you'd be paying alimony for a long time as she'd know the gravy train would stop in the event that she re-marries. She'd also likely take in a live-in boyfriend after watching enough episodes of Oprah telling her she's entitled to do so. Worse yet, if the live-in boyfriend was charismatic, the kids, if young enough would start calling HIM 'dad'. Meanwhile, unless you're quite well off enough to support two households, you'd be living in squaller and when the new love of your life that made all this possible in the first place witnessed this train wreck, she'd see you as a downer and move on leaving you with a lot of time to think about what the hell just happened. No, thankfully I'm not talking from personal experience but I know a few guys who wished they didn't get on this ride.. Charlie
