  1. :) yeah, what a bummer he was just seen a few weeks ago saying that he was stepping down, but gee wiz- never thought he would die just like!:) I knew that he had cancer, but thought he had a little time left other than a mere few weeks.

Guys like Steve Jobs aren't like most of us. They have drive that's orders of magnitude higher than the rest of the pack and this is why they become so insanely successful when they come up with a winning idea or strategy. I knew he didn't have long when he stepped down simply because a man like this has so much drive that he'd have to be near death to pack it in. RIP

  2. Hey guys. You know what. I agree with them. He looks ridiculous.

The hell of it is that we all look ridiculous to someone out there.. The idea is to keep the number of someone's to a minimum while embracing the truth that we may approach, but never reach zero someone's.

Whenever someone makes fun of another, it's always to make themselves feel superior. There's usually very little to no collateral damage by means of the victim taking offense when women do this because they most always do it behind the victim's back. This is one reason why I secretly admire Amanda Snake. She puts her opinion out for all to see. lol

  3. Don't make a big deal about it. IMO it's best not to tell but just to do it. If a family member notices and says anything just say, "Do you like them? You don't do you, I can tell."

They will probably reply, "No, they're fine, it was just a bit of a shock to see you wearing them, that's all."

You are actually employing a bit of psychology here. Firstly, because it's not such a big deal you are quite comfortable wearing them as if you always have done. Secondly, you are asking for a negative response, it is human nature to take an opposing view when faced with something you're not sure of.

At the end of the day, if you suddenly started to wear say, riding boots, would you sit your family down and tell them? no you wouldn't because there'd be no need. Heels are footwear, the same as your trainers, football boots, or the posh shoes you wear on special occasions. By sitting everybody down in a row and wringing your hands at them makes them feel as if it's something you're ashamed of but need to do nevertheless.

I think this is the best answer you're going to get to your question. Bravo Dr. Shoe!

  4. Yes I look. There is some intertesting stuff there. Based on some of the postings I sometimes wonder if all the girls in the girls section are really girls.

Am I the only one who suspects Amanda Snake is a guy? lol

  5. Love to see someone try to get through airport security in these.

I made a joke about them not having a shot, but I should have read the whole thread first... lol

Steve63130 got the first shot! lol

  6. If I think men mostly look silly in high heels then I believe I'm free to express my opinion regarding that in an internet forum designed for the purpose of discussing high heels. I have nothing against you boys wearing them at all. You can wear them all you like. In fact I think you're quite brave to do so given the social stigma attached to it.

Furthermore, my comments about war, football and religion being fueled, driven and lead by men are all true. I regard this as being indisputable unless you're prepared to argue with history.

Of course Margret Thatcher had to be drawn into the argument that women are just as responsible for starting wars. That's one woman amongst thousands of years of male driven wars all over the world.

Anyway, I think some of you are overreacting to my comments and being quite insulting to boot.

A fair response as far as the shoes go. The only thing I'd add is that history has clearly shown that matriarchal leadership can lead to wars waged the same as patriarchal leadership. The only reason for the illusion that patriarchal leadership leads to more wars stems from patriarchal leadership being more common. Testosterone is the likely cause behind the overwhelming domination of patriarchal leadership throughout the centuries. Despite all of this, it was men who first wore heeled footwear. Go figure.. lol

  7. Whoa up people - everyone is entitled to their opinion and as I undersand it this site was not originally set up for men who wear heels - they have just taken it over.

I started a thread this morning asking as a fun discussion what the last bastion of males would be. Check it out.

Last bastion being something that when given up would negate males as a sex.

For me the last bastion would be standing at the urinal. Said in the spirit of fun and friendship.

    Loosen up guys!

Not exactly so. When Firefox first set this up, he was indeed making it a place for men who wear high heeled footwear in public. What differentiated this site from the old one were the additional forums for Girls, Everybody, and so on. I know this because if you go back to the beginning posts you'll see I was there. Personally, I think Amanda likes all the attention.
