  1. JeffB Your outfit did look great on you! I also like to wear capris in the summer with heeled sandals, but I have never worn them that with that tight of a fit. Maybe I should look into that look. Last summer i bought 2 pair of shiny looking leggings, one black and one in gold, I did go out in public wearing them with a long camp shirt (Tall mens Section) the leggings went to about 4" below the knee. Unfortunately I put them away for the winter and can not find them this summer. The other night I had to go to Walmart to get some things. I was wearing my MetroStyle red jean capris, with a black golf shirt and my Naturalizer black slide sandals with a 3" block heel. While in the check out line I heard some giggles from some young girls maybe 10-12 years old. I turned around and looked with a smile, they were pointing and talking about the ankle chain that I was wearing on my right leg. I said to them do you like it? There mother replied that it was unusual for a man to wear one. I pointed out to her that I like to wear ankle chains in summer with capris or shorts. No different than men wearing ear rings especially the large dangling one's that are seen on some men, The mother thanked me for my comments and I bid her and her family a good evening as we left the store. I always like to turn an incident like that into a positive !!!!!!! Keep on posting your jaunts JeffB. bluejay .

  2. I too have similar styled boots from Born. They have a 3" heel and I have them in black and brown. They are easy to wear and i like the heel height too. They are definetely women's boots and I love to wear them. I have even worn them with skinny jeans tucked inside the boots! bluejay

  3. I too like to wear jewelery. I wear rings on several of my fingers. Always wear bracelets and wear necklaces with an open collar shirts. I also wear anklets and sometimes toe rings when I am wearing sandals. I seldom wear earrings because I do not have my ears pierced. I am considering ear piercing along with a nipple piercing as I have stated in another thread. I just love to wear jewelery with or without wearing heels! bluejay

  4. Bravo, bluejay! Sounds like you had quite an enjoyable shopping experience. What I found rather remarkable was how that salesperson suggested that you, a man, try ladies' jeans! Really cool! Big props to you!

    JeffB

The saleslady suggested that I try the women's skinny Levi's probably because she noticed that I was wearing my Born western style women's boots with a 3" heel and was wearing a pair of black boot flared women's jeans from Newport/News. I do not try to hide my heels when I wear them. I want people to see my heels. Also when i came out of the changing room I had the skinny jeans tucked into my boots which are only 12" high, since there was no way that those jeans were going over the top of my boots.

Since I bought those jeans I wore them with the same Born boots tucked inside the boots one evening to do a couple of errands. I even went to a Lowe's store to get some supplies that I needed. No negative comments only a couple of second looks at me!

  5. JeffB I almost always wear women's jeans and capris. They fit much better than men's jeans. Most of my women's jeans come from Newport/News catalog. Their jeans may be more of a unisex style, because their pockets are larger than some women's stlyes and the fly front zipper is better fitted for men! Two weeks ago I stopped at the Levi's Factory Outlet store to see the new skinny look jeans for men. I have wanted a pair to wear with my knee boots. The clerk did not have my size in mens jeans. She suggested that I try a pair of ladies skinny Levi's. I told her my size in womens and she got the the pair to try on . They fit like a glove. I came out of the changing room for her to see. She said that the jeans looked great. I thanked her and proceeded to the cash register to complete my purchase. Before I left the store she told me that she sells lots of women's jeans to men which really did not surprise me at all! bluejay

  6. Congratulations on your outing! Doesn't it feel great to just do what you want, when you want to. Your skirt/heel outing sounds textbook to me and I hope you continue to do it if you choose.

I like the look in the loafers and pantyhose a lot. Would you please post the make and style of those shoes. I would be very interetsed in knowing. Just once suggestion however; and its because I have some of the same issues...when wearing a skirt, I find it best not to tuck, especially if the waist of the skirt is on the tight side. In my opinion it just gives a better line since guys bellies don't always fall in the best places for skirts.

    Keep heeling and keep skirting!

    HappyFeat,

Those black patent loafer pumps are from Chadwicks catalog. They were still in the catalog last fall. They may still be available.

    Thanks for your comments.

  7. I also have some pairs of Aerosoles shoes. You are very right they are very comfortable shoes. There is no Aerosoles Store in my area, so I have to order them from their catalog or buy them from online shoe sites. I have never been disappointed in any of their shoes or with the Naturalizer's that I have too. bluejay

  8. With reference to my earlier post in this thread about my new leather skirt I am adding the following pictures to my post: Picture #1 White silky look man's dress shirt, black leather skirt, black pantyhose with black patent leather loafer pumps with 3 1/2" heel. Picture #2 same outfit as #1 Picture #3 Purple tall man's sweater, black leather skirt, black "Hue" tights with black leather boots with 3" block heel. Picture #4 Red V-neck fine gauge sweater, black leather skirt, black "Hue" tights with the black leather boots. I did go out to do some shopping at the supermarket late last night about 10 pm, wearing the outfit in picture #4. First time in public wearing a skirt! I took a cue from Jeff B and went out to do my thing. What a great feeling to be wearing a skirt with heeled boots! Very few shoppers in the store no comments until I get to the check-out cashier,( who has seen me in heels before ) who said wow what a great outfit. That made my evening venture a rousing success. We chatted a few minutes until another woman shopper got in line behind me. I said good night to her with which she replied see you soon. It turned out to be a nice venture out in heels and a skirt. I certainly will go out in a skirt again after I check on the sale racks in the stores. Happy Feat and Jeff B, I hope that you read this post because of your posts on wearing skirts gave me the courage to wear a skirt out in public. Thanks, bluejay

  9. I know of one man that buys in the women's departments, that's me! I buy womens's jeans in the stores and from catalogs. They fit me much better than men's jeans. I like their materials too. I also have several pairs of capris which I will be wearing soon when the weather warms up. I like to wear capri length jeans which I have had tailored from women's jeans. I saw more men wearing capris last summer in my area. Some of the menswear catalogs have shown them but they call them judo shorts or mens long shorts, but whatever name they call them they are still capris. Besides wearing heeled boots and shoes I also wear some women's tops like oversized tunics. I also buy and wear pantyhose, thigh-hi hose and knee-hi hose. In fact I wear hosery more often than I wear men's socks except when I am working, I wear work boots and need to wear heavy socks.

  10. I failed to mention in my earlier post that listed my leather clothing that I also have mens' leather blazers in black , brown and royal blue. I also have womens leather jeans in red, white, royal, purple, silver and gold, all with matching jean style jackets in leather. I have several leather ball caps in colors to match those jeans. In addition I have leather newsboy hats in various colors and a leather dress hat in black and brown to match my leather top coats that I wear when wearing suits or leather blazers. Add a couple of leather vests to my collection, so you can see that I have an extensive collection of leather fashions. Someday soon I will purchase my first leather skirt!!!! (My wife wears the leather fashons too but her collection is no where near what I have)

Well that someday came. I finally purchased my first leather skirt. It is 19" long and it comes to just above the knee. I love it! I have worn it around the house on several ocassions with black pantyhose and black patent 3" heels with a white silky look mens dress shirt. I have also worn it with my black knee high leather boots, black tights, with a purple color extra long sweater from the tall men's shop at Penny's. So far I have not gone out in public yet with the leather skirt on, but hope to do so soon. I will take a cue from Jeff B. and wear the skirt out. Hope to post some pictures too!

  11. i got them yesterday but one think i noticed they where a little too tight in the toe area also this being my first pair of heel/boots ever if you guys could give me some tips on how to walk in them iv been walking balk and forth in in my house but i still seem to not be able to keep my balance

Just keep on walking, you will get the balancing as you walk more and more in your heels. Enjoy your new heels!

  12. Tonight I had to do some errands, this is what I wore; Lt. tan Izod polo shirt, Brown skinny stretch jeans, coffee colored pantyhose and my Brown Born Western style of boots with 3" heel and a tan jacket. First stop to Kay Jewelers to have some jewelery of my wife and mine cleaned. The associates know me very well, they always greet me by name. They have all seen me in heels and always look to see what I am wearing. More than once they have complimented me on my heels and my choice of clothing style. Of course I wear lots of jewelery which Kay's has sold me over the years. Next stop to Payless shoes to check on a recent e-mail from them regarding some new mule styles for spring. None of the new styles in the store yet. Had a nice chat with female store clerk about heels and men wearing heels. Next stop at Walmart to pick-up a few items needed. Not too many customers in the store tonight. No negative reactions. Even got a smile from a lady about 50ish. I did not try to hide my heels as they were quite evident from the length of my jeans. Another enjoyable night out and about in heels.

  13. I have some heeled clogs from Clarks. They are very comfortable clogs. They have a 2" heel approx. I also have a pair of 3" clog heels from Naturalizer Shoes. I love to wear them, mostly with jeans, but I did wear them out once with capri length pants. Go on ShoeBuy.com web site and take a look you might find somethimg that you like! bluejay

  14. I also wear sheer knee-hi's with heels in the summer. I especially like the jet black color of No-Nonsense knee-hi's' They go very nice with Black Patent heels that I wear often. I also wear knee-hi's with open toe shoes and some sandals. I like the way the dark red color of my toe nail polish shine through the knee-hi's. This summer I have been wearing a dark red color of polish on my toes. I like the color very much and have had nice compliments from women on their appearance. I have also worn a dark purple color which is a favorite of my wife. We have worn matching colors on our feet several times this summer.

  15. Glad to have you back with your outings and pictures, HappyFeat. I see from your recent post that you took a day trip up to Niagara Falls. Now your in my neck of the woods. Did you go to the Fashion Outlet Mall when you were in Niagara Falls, I go there to shop occassionally. There are some good stores there to shop in. Keep on posting, I enjoy reading your posts and viewing your pictures. bluejay

  16. I have worn capri style jeans an pants for a couple of years now. I like the style and have had several compliments on them. I have worn them with below the knee style of boots in cooler weather and wear them with mules and sandals in the warmer weather. If you like the style of capri pants go for it. I really enjoy wearing them Jf your are worried about style being more feminine you can see men wearing them in some fashion catalogs. They are called men's capris or judo shorts. If you don't want to buy them in the women's department. buy pants or jeans in the men's department and take them to an alteration shop (most cleaners have alterations within) and have them cut to length. A longer length would be about 5" less then your normal inseam length' From there you can go shorter. I have capris that have 17"-25" inseams. Men lets get out wearing our capris. I am sure the women will allow us to wear them!!!!

  17. Any item of clothing top ie. V-neck sweater, turtle neck, mock turtle neck, tank top, polo shirt. For colors black is always a favorite of mine. Also red, yellow, orange, blue, purple, green and any other pastel color that you can think of. I probably have all of those colors as I like to wear white jeans, slacks, capris and shorts.

  18. Just wanted to show my new Born Western style boots i recently purchased . I have paired them up with Newport News brown stretch jeans and a Izod v-neck fine gauge sweater. I have included pictures with the jeans on the outside of the boots and pictures of the jeans tucked inside the boots. BTW the boots are very comfortable with a 3-1/2" heel. I already have them in black.
