  1. In one of my lives I was a research chemist, and as a chemist you want your hands complete free of jewelry. Especially around acids and radioactive tracers. I  have been jewelry free since.

  2. You can take the acrylic off yourself.  It just takes time.  You will need foil, acetone base remove and cotton (I use the cotton that comes with some medicine).  Cut the foil so you can wrap it completely around your finger/toe. Soak the cotton in the remove, place it on the nail. I use twister for this. Then wrap the nail in foil.  Wait 10-15 minutes and unwrap. The acrylic should start to lift. Get a pusher and push it, trying to get it to lift. Then re-wrap with more/fresh remover on cotton. Repeat this process and it will come off.  I did one nail this way already.  Its not hard just time consuming.  I have another acrylic nail I'm hoping will last because it "glues" the half-nails together.

This whole situation has been a good test of how self-sustainable we really are.  My wife cuts my hair, so I got it cut this morning.

Having your wife do it is not really "self-sustainable".  Now if you did yourself, then I would agree.

I have already done a minor hair trim on myself, but I need my eye brows cut/shaped. Last time was back in March days before it all closed, I saw it coming and went in about 2 weeks earlier than needed.  Now my brows are getting caught by my eye lashes and poking me in my eyes (it a side effect of needed eye drops). I freak out with scissors near my eyes, so I have them done whenever they start poking, about 4 to 5 times a year.  (I know, high maintenance, but worth it.)

While I can do a great pedi on myself, I rather have it done. Much easier. I can also do a okay manicure, but don't have the gel equipment, nor do I want to invest in it. Just waiting for my nail artist to come back. And then just wait in line to get an appointment.

  4. Been a month since I did my last mani/pedi. Polish off the fingers for another week, too busy using my hands to let the polish dry.  Sitting out in the sun tanning my legs for the legs competition photo while doing a pedi and editing work.  Only 100 more to go by Tuesday morning, then start a new 3 week project.  I was so hoping for a few days off.  Maybe in August.

Got to get the toes ready for open toe heels, basically all I wear in the summer.

  5. It's funny that you wrote about this.  I found a pair of bootcut jeans hanging in my closet last weekend.  Can't even remember when I got them or even if I ever wore them.  I put them on and they fit extremely well, size 8 curvy :) .  I  wore them that night to an outdoor graduation celebration and two other times already. They are not going replace my skinny jeans and legging but they are going to get used more now.
