  1. I like my fingernails on the long side as well. I have lost some functionality (and bones) in my hand so I use my nails to scoop things up instead of picking them up.   I also get my nails done since several have been damaged and need an acrylic covering to hold them together.  I then (use to) get a gel color and art work. To me this is just changeable body art, no different from a tattoo.  I have posted pictures of my fingernails in an album but they all got taken down.

    Wow! That’s crazy!

Google "The Tubes" and "Fee Waybill" and your see many more crazy heels.

The crazy heels are part of the act that goes with one song from The Tubes. I seen him several times recently when he played a free concert series and one time he had 12 inch clear platforms plus a heel

  3. It's funny how one person likes is another person hates'

In the case of boots, I require a full zipper, no dinky half zipper.  My ankle can not slither down a boot without a proper FULL zipper.  I don't even try on boots without full zippers.  I want to wear the boots, not fight with them.

The UGGS of today are not the UGGS of yesteryear. I've had several pairs since the 90's. They are great when you want to warm your feet and they need to dry out.  After a surf session, after a long swim, and after a day on the slopes....

Shoes with sky high platforms. I never saw or understood the popularity of those things which didn't look at all practical.

Classic "The Tubes" with Fee Waybill. Rock and Roll from the 70's. The picture above is from 2016.

Even wearing heels, there are not too many people who have to look up to me physically (at least of the male gender). I have come to find out, however, for the first time in my 25 year career, that quite a few people do look up to me existentially.

And you haven't been working on a ladder?   JK

I teach at the University and I have run my own business. Employees and students have a respect for your fashion choices, that outside of those situations, may not exist.

Can you imagine your science professor coming into class in knee high stilettos? It's a non-issue after the first class. They soon realize if they pay attention to my heels they will be lost quickly. I have had quit a few women (not only students) tell me they are jealous of my heel height and variety of heel I have.

  6. I have been asked my opinion on when we will return to the new normal several times this past week. My predictions have been right so far, so I am frequently asked. Earliest will be September 2021.  Wonder what amusement parks will have to do to make their riders safe between passengers?  Social distancing on a roller coaster?  Mass transit, airlines, and cruise ships will take major hits as well as destination vacations and conventions and sporting events. Would you feel safe standing shoulder-to-shoulder (in heels, of course) around a craps table in a casino?

  7. It depends on the type of heel.  Block heel boots and booties, some wedges, I can forget thinking about them. Stilettos and and other small heels, no.  I need to watch where I put my foot. I can even run in some heels.

I want to be clear, not starting a argument.  just your thought.  When we talk about high heels ,, how high do the heels need to be.  i say 4 or better, my wife says 3 inches or better/

I'll even mess with you more, I but it at 3.25 inch difference (to take platforms out of the argument).

I like my heels to be at least 3.5 inch (9 cm), but prefer 4 - 5 inch (11 - 14 cm)  and up to 5.4 inch.

    I have size 10 women's feet. Haven't bought a pair of men's shoes in over a decade.

  9. As a boomer, there I admitted it, I don't pay attention to very much of social media. But I have also seen how social media can influence opinions (and politics).  That guy is hairy...everywhere. If he where to shave, where should he start and where should he stop?

I did not shave or wax until I needed to tape my legs to do certain activities. Now after several years of waxing a few times a year, I have almost no hair on my legs.  (The women who wax them are jealous! :giggle: )  But I still have hair on my arms.  Just wish I could convince some of the hair follicles to relocate to the top of my head.
