  1. While I'm not gay, all I can do is postulate from years of observation.

I think some gay men might not want to look in anyway feminine because it hurts their masculine mask, while other gay men seem to embrace it.  It's why many excel in sports (Caitlyn Jenner. for example) because they think they must prove they're "real men".  It also may have something to do with their like (love) of the masculine image.

Not all lesbians are "b_tch" with crew cuts or very short hair. Just like gay men, there are many subgroups under the lesbian banner, including the very femme women

  2. I have a floating rib and I wear a slightly different constrictive garment to hold my rib cage in place when it gets tweaked. Next time it gets dislodge I plan to get a custom corset (or two) made to hold it place while it scars over - 6 to 8+ weeks. I can understand your enjoyment from wearing it.

  3. @Shyheels you may not get asked this question because you really don't wear very high heels. I've been ask several times. And it's a lot of times the persons's SO that asks. That's why @Bubba136's wife was a rare bird.

I still limit my responses to those I learned from her, truthfully and without hesitation or embarrassment.

    And with confidence.

  4. This is where I think I am lucky. I wear heels everywhere, and I don't hid it anymore. Heels with shorts, knee high stiletto boots over skinny jeans, ...  It liberating not to have to worry "what is I meet someone I know" and to just "carry on" with my life.  Before we went on-line, I had coworkers that would always check out the shoes I had on, and I have been asked to show my heels via ZOOM.

I get "you can walk better than I can" from women 5-10 times a year, so I know I call walk the walk. I also know there are some surfaces that I look silly trying to walk through, loose gravel for one. In sports there's a saying "act like you've been there before", it applies here, "walk like you were born in high heels", hold your head high and live your life to the fullest.

Or as the old song goes..."don't worry, be happy."

I would love heels for/on men to be an everyday none event. So I'm doing my part.  Are you?

I need to end now, I think I've reached my cliche limit.

Tried them again this morning. The 2nd ones https://www.asos.com/simmi-shoes/simmi-london-jemma-chunky-ankle-boots-in-black/prd/14194498 are still too tight, quite narrow across the toe box. Really liked the look of them but being synthetic they won't stretch well

The 3rd ones https://www.asos.com/asos-design/asos-design-wide-fit-ellen-chunky-lace-up-boots-in-black/prd/12152117  really didn't fit. The right foot might have been OK with a little wearing in but the left was impossible. I think my left foot is slightly larger than the right. The boot may have been slightly smaller too. If theya re wide fit I hate to think what the standard fit is like.

So they are all going back.

When you have high arches and a larger toe box, this is just something you get use to.  All you can say is "onto the next". The third one I thought would never fit because the way the bottom of the tongue is sewed. Way too short for a high arched foot.

Decided to get a pair of the ASOS Chelsea boots as mentioned above: https://www.asos.com/asos-design/asos-design-heeled-chelsea-boots-in-black-leather-with-zip-detail-on-black-platform-sole/prd/20048891

Despite being sold as men's boots something was adrift on the sizing. I ordered UK9 (they are marked UK9 EU43) but couldn't even get them on my feet. Possibly because I have a fairly high instep. I could try a UK10 but they look uglier in real life than online so they're going back. Free delivery, free return so no problem.

While I was ordering, I decided to try some other chunky boots that were available in UK9. I quite like the look of these so it's  shame they are too tight: https://www.asos.com/simmi-shoes/simmi-london-jemma-chunky-ankle-boots-in-black/prd/14194498

These fit reasonably. I'll try them again in the morning. If I keep them then the price is right, though they aren't real leather: https://www.asos.com/asos-design/asos-design-wide-fit-ellen-chunky-lace-up-boots-in-black/prd/12152117

As a person with a high arch and large girth toe box I can see why the first one different work and am surprise the second pair didn't and the third pair did.

Nine West had a bootie with luge soles and a stiletto heel, gone when I went looking.
