First time i ever heard of advantage or necessity to wear woman shoes. How do running shoes work for you?

Think i have sudden plantar fasciitis recent ankle problem difficult to walk, didn't sprain it nor injury myself doing anything other than standing for long time in male sneakers.

With your large girth toe box how can you wear narrow womens shoes even heels?

After my third ankle reconstruction I started researching male running shoes with narrow heels.  They don't make them. I found out that "men's shoes are make in a rectangular shape toe about as wide as heels, women's shoes are wider at the toe and narrow at the heel. So I got a clearance pair of women's New Balance and they fit better that any male running shoe. Haven't bought men's shoes since.  Part of my girth is a high arch and a high heel absorbs some of that. I also have better balance as a result.

  2. NZ,

I have many Steve Madden, Madden Girl, and Freebird heels. Only about 70% of their shoes fit. I have a large girth toe box, both wide AND tall. At the same time I have a narrow heel.

My large girth toe box meant I would have to get a size or two large men's shoes and 4W wide. Thus my heel just swam in shoes and I could never plant, pivot, etc. correctly. Results: 100's of sprained ankles and 3 major ankle reconstructions. No ankle problems since I switch to women's shoes in 2011

  3. I look for the raise, I need at least 3.5 inch rise, 4 is great, .

I measure from the floor to back of heel/shoe using a measuring tape perpendicular to the surface.

I measure the platform from the surface to the lowest platform/shoe junction.

But the raise is only one part, the other is the shape of the raise/arch and into the toes.

  4. I use to paint my toenails red in the 80' and 90's. But I'm not painting my nails to look like a women from the 60's or 70's, so I stopped painting them red. Now I paint (or get them painted) for an extended expression of me. I wish I had the time (and funds) to change them more frequently. I have so many different things I want to do and so few canvases to use.

Painting my finger and toe nails allows me to mess with people's pre-conceived notions. I like it when I'm asked what I'm wearing because they want to wear that color as well.

  5. Snake Oil salesmen also worked until they got ran out of town. The only Fake News is coming from the man in orange.

To paraphrase Hamlet's mother "The president doth protest (Russia) too much, methinks."

The Armed Forces have already come out and said this is NOT the policy.

Now Shyheels, tell me about Brexit......

2/ how people who are supposed to have a brain could have elected such a weirdo.

"You can fool all the people some of the time, and some of the people all the time......", he fooled enough people by lying to them. And he continues to lie about everything. He tries to "win" by marginalizing the competition and a "scorched earth" policy on anyone who is not "loyal" to him. No plans, it all about him and his ego.

These days my outings are becoming very routine and uneventful.

But these jaunts of some members are important to those that want to venture out of the house in heels but lack their own confidence to do so. To others, like myself, wearing heels is normal. I go grocery shopping, the hardware store in heels. I've even carried two 2"X4"X8' on my shoulder through home depot in stilettos. Sometimes I will encounter something new or extraordinary but most of the time most people don't even notice.

Nice wedges. I have similar wedges, even wore the cognac yesterday and the tan last week...Maxx Out Wedges
