  1. I wear 4 inch heels most of the time, so I live by the principle that

Life's too short for heels that hurt.

A principle that a woman told me in the clearance racks at DSW when I was buying my first pair of 4 inch heels.

That being said, I do sometimes buy heels on clearance on-line and can't return them when then don't fit. :(:(:(

So I try to savage my purchase. I went out and purchase professional shoe stretchers.  Great investment.

Case in point. I got these Steve Madden Gretchens, I wanted the OVER THE TOP factor when I wear them, part of my mess with you mind heels. I think they where $189 shoes on clearance for $39, I couldn't resist. But the toe band is too tight. Well they are in my shoe stretchers. Just tried one on and it is coming along nicely.

So to answer your question, I would take them back if it was easy, $12 is not that much.

  2. Several years ago, I was going to have another experimental surgery on my hand to deal with a damaged bone. I tried to convince my hand surgeon to let me recreate the bone they were going to remove from my hand and replace it with a plastic bone I would created with 3D-scanning (MRI and cat scan) and 3D-printing. It didn't happen, so I have the #3 version of this experimental surgery.

  3. The last several years I have been traveling wearing either my Madden Girl Krisis calf boots or or my Freebird Blaze booties. Both have at least a 4 inch heel.  I also have Pre-check boarding but I have to take off my shoes because of the metal buckles and zippers. I just reach down, unzip pull each off and put them through the x-ray machine like anyone else. I have also traveled in my lace-up Maxx Out sandal wedges with painted toes. Nothing ever said. Domestically and internationally.
