  1. I feel empowered.  I walk taller with better posture.  There are 8 women who use to never wear heels but now wears heels because I wear heels. I know this because they make it a point to show me their heels when I run into them.

I spent one hour today in a busy dsw trying on boots, over the knee boots, and booties. I had a polo shirt, shorts, and 5 inch steve madden mules. the only comment was "Let me know if I can help you find something."

Then walked through a large shopping mall to a Brow Bar and had my brows cleaned up/waxed (side effects of my eye drops). The first comment from the brow-ester was "I love you nails."

Just show confidence and the world will meet that confidence with a positive light.

    Can't say it any better.

  2. Pierre - Start out easy, low heels, limit time out. Movie,....

Remember if you project confidence your fine. It's only when you act nervous that you draw attention to yourself.

The first few steps are always the hardest. I started a new (additional) position this month and had to overcome the professional aspect of wearing heels at the new job.  I wore my Steven Madden Freebird boots the first few days there. Wearing open-toe wedges now.

I started to get my fingernails painted this summer. I had to over come my fears of professional repercussions since my hands are always on display at work.

The things is, each time we extend our limits we all have to fight our own fears.

    Got luck and small steps

  3. I'm fashion fluid.

I openly wear 4 inch heels everyday, either with shorts or long pants. It's something I know I will do for the rest of my life because it's either that or pain. I mix men's and women's clothing on a day basis. I have many women's tops and outer wear that I mix into my daily (work) wear, including VS sweaters. There's so many more options in colors, textures, and styles- why limit myself. Always look alpha male, just in heels.

But my clothing's gender is male because it's mine, no matter where it started.

  4. Thanks. With our warm weather here I've worn wedges every day this week, even to my new job.

Today I wore the one back strap/buckle version, the Affluent in black. Five women and two men told be they liked by heels today.

If I could find another new pair of either of these I would buy them.

Robyn, I wore my Maxx Out wedges yesterday.

  5. I first got this model in turquoise two years ago and I always got compliments in them. Turquoise was "the color" that year. I wore them out but found them in this color and bought it. I love how this shape absorbs my high arch.
