I live just a few blocks from the Monterey Bay. I have worn my mules to a beach but take them off on the sand. And I think I might have worn them on the beach too.

SF aren't you worried (paranoid) that you could get in an accident while driving and need to get out of the car fast and escape in your heels?
With the heels Pierre has on he can escape easily.

If you over rotate you get that runway model walk. When I do this (for fun) the women just can't control themselves, they can understand how a male can do this and they can't. Practice and more practice.

Me thinks nz has stock in a skirt factory.
I'm a full time heel wearer. My legs aren't designed for slim or skinny jeans. I like boot cut jeans (517's), pants, and women's stretch jeans. I wish (1) they made these with front pockets or (2) they make men's jeans out of this material.
Skirts/dresses are not something I gonna wear to work. But I do wear my shorts (some very short) with my heels; even with my knee boots.

I wear heels no matter how long the flight, even 16 hour flights. Last SYD to LAX flight I wore my calf high boots.

I feel comfortable wearing my heels where ever I go. I do, though, hesitate just a little when I have to go into a Lowes, Ace Hardware or stores like that. It is at those places I just have to walk in like I have nothing to be ashamed of and I don't.
I have carried a couple of 2 by 4's on my shoulder while walking in Victoria's Secret Stilettos thru a Home Depot. And I'm also over 60. You need to own it.

You can do exercises to help improve that flexibility.
Stand barefooted on an incline (no more than 30 degrees).
1. Try standing on your toes fora minute at a time. Balance without holding on to anything.
Once you are able to do this, then
2. Go to one foot. Be able to stand on you toes and balance.
3. Finally, Do 1 or 2 sets of following twice a day.
right. foot 30 seconds, left. 30 seconds, repeat 5 times.
Walk around on your tippy toes for 5 minutes, increase this.
I have had many ankle reconstructions and was well verse in this exercise. When I was forced (by injury) into high heels I had no problems adjusting to a 4 inch heel. I had my balance within seconds.
NZ is correct, walking around in the house in your high heels is completely different than spending the day in heels. I put my heels on in the morning and don't take them off until I get home at night. Some days I wake-up and need my heels just to walk do the hallway. some morning barefooted. Sometimes when I get home I switch to my 4 inch mules, sometimes I go barefoot.

If I'm addicted to heels, then I'm addicted to pants and shirts. I have a variety of all three and about similar numbers of each.
These are the clothes I wear, why shouldn't I have sufficient variety?

The only time I didn't wear heels to a doctor's appointment was when I was having leg/foot surgery and knew I would be on crutches afterwards.
