  1. Evening time and chillaxin in the skybar up on level 28 overlooking the whole city and bay.

Nervous as this is my 1st ever time out in a pair of thigh boots. Wearing matte black leggings with my ZU brand OTK boots which are a shiny looking synthetic with 11cm heel.

coupled with bright pink nails and a glass of red wine. The wine and nails look great together as i hold the glass.

From Shoes of Prey. For anyone unfamiliar with the online company, they sell customized shoes, designed to the specifics of the customer, offering scores of choices in terms of styles, sizes, heel heights, colors, accessories, the combinations are near endless, and that’s no exaggeration. I chose the model called “Savoca”, a rounded toe pump which I ordered in 13 wide and customized in black leather with a four inch stiletto heel, beige soles and a deep red lining for a cost of $149, making them the most expensive shoes I’ve ever bought, but, I have to say they were worth every penny as the craftsmanship was first class. I wore the shoes on an outing yesterday and found the shoes to have been comfortable and easy to walk in during my break in period.

    well done, great looking shoes

Its such a pity that this little AUSSIE company had to move to the US to make it, but Im happy for them, its just a pit that for me to order from AUS where they started is about twice the price

  3. well, here i am on another little jaunt to Melbourne, staying at the Crown Casino.

Work finished for the day, so time to hit the pool then find dinner at one of the casino restaurants, then relax (with laptop, sigh, its a work trip) at the skybar.

As usual I have come for 4 days and brought 8 pairs of shoes......

Even so I dropped into a big Melbourne shopping centre. Melbourne is so far ahead of Sydney in the fashion stakes !!

Went to the WITTNER store and tried on about 6 pairs of heels. Some amazing new styles

Tried on a pair of Red Patent Thigh boots, pull on style so a big baggy behind ankle once on, and a 8.5cm stiletto heel.

    They were way comfy.

Yes, but you close that colour because you like it and because, as you say, it imparts some magic to you. That's great.

The red pumps that invariably appear in these articles are deliberate  clichés and what's more one gets a sense that the vivid red is being used as a sort of protective colouring - creating or emphasising a sense of outlandishness so the writer can scoff it off as obviously not really him, a bit of a laugh, and thus preserve his man-card.

    Hi @Shyheels

Whilst a pair of bright or colourfull shoes are away from the norm, so is the very act of us guys wearing heels. The ruby slippers dont have to be red in colour, but theyre our favourite pair of heels be they high or low, red or black, that imparts that little bit of magic into each one of us.

But seeing how I am on the ruby slippers theme....

SIREN shoes here in AUS have just released their POSSE ankle boots in (drum roll please) ruby red colour, I stopped in and tried them on last Friday, just need to find some $$ to afford them. Ruby Red patent leather, contrasting black shiny heel. I think I will have to get a pair for my upcoming jaunt to Melbourne.

  5. Hi All

A new pair of boots for me

Brand: SIREN, Style: Piston, Colour: Camel, Size: 10/41

All leather pull on boot with an elastic gusset in contrasting colour on both sides.

    Block heel 11cm

Really comfy and wide at toe area, they feel higher than others i have with same height heel

The toe area is a bit slippery so I might get them soled with a non slip cover

  6. sorry, i dont understand how this can be an issue. Your wearing thigh high boots !!

If you dont want to get attention wear something less obvious.

For me now that ive got over the 'inner me voices' and wear what i like, the noise and the look and the click of the stiletto or the clack of the heel is all part of it.

Just go with it. If you have the confidence to wear the boots, embrace it.

Let us know how you get on (and a pic please)

    at least half.....

    Hi folks

Well after a silly 40 deg C day in early Autumn, we are back to normal weather. It is starting to cool off, such that you can wear boots more comfortably, but I am trying to get a few more days of sandals and pumps in yet.

3 groups of pics from my last 3 days at work

The first is my INC strappy pumps, 12.5cm with 1.5cm hidden platform, still a little snug, but easing with each wear and I have to get another hole put into the ankle strap as it bites in.

The second are my Nine West Tornaydo Tbar shoes, really comfy, 10cm heel

The third is my Wittner peep toe bone coloured ankle boots with 12cm block heel and 2cm platform

Lovely James. The silver cone heel boots are interesting, though not really my taste. Those brown ankle boots look great and probably very comfortable.

Any items added to your wish list??

    Hi @jeremy1986

lots of items added to the wish list however the budget says I must go easy !!

I will prob get 1 or 2 over next few months but will have to decide which and I generally wait till they’ve dropped in price a bit.

And yes the brown boots are very comfortable considering theyre such a high heel. At the moment they’re my top pick.

  11. Hi all

went to Wittner yesterday and tried on some of the new season stuff. Too many new styles to choose from. Like a kid in a candy store.

i tried on the Eamon boot in tan with a 11.5cm high block heel. The Jetta boot in black with a 9.5cm stiletto and elastic upper, the hathaway boot 8.5cm heel, in blush (read pinky nude colour) which is a sock style and was sooooo comfy i was surprised and lastly at sales reps insisting tried on the Hendrick slouchy pull on boot in silver. It has a weird looking cone heel that is 9.5cm and is actually very comfy. These boots are just over knee and also come in a bright red.

Now if i can just get pics to load .....

    nope!

    no pics.

  12. Hi everyone

I know that the majority on this site are from the northern half of the world, however down under our shops are just starting to get the first of the AW18, (Autumn Winter 2018) styles in. Red and white are big this season, along with black and leopard print, Quite a few styles im seeing also have silver / gunmetal styles.

Heels seems to be much the same as normal with a few weird (my view only) conical types popping up and slouchy long boots which I (again my view) also dont like.

However there are a few great shoes that I have already tried on and cannot wait till they drop in price a little.

Plus I scored a great pair of cheap platform stilettos from one of our discount warehouses.

At 14.99 they were hard to resist
