Hi all
Even though its mid winter here (not really cold compared to some parts of the world) My toe was hurting so I decided to spend the day in open toe sandals and leggings
The shoes are a platform sandal from one of the cheap imported makers (Pied A Tierre) here in Aus, but surprisingly well made and robust.
13cm heel, 2.5 cm platform in a nude synthetic
leggings / jeggings from MYER
Have a great day

I understand the stretching etc so that you can take care of your own.
Hope it improves. I had 1 big toe nail fixed (nail bed resection) about 30 years ago, has never ingrown again, well the other one never gave me much trouble but now with heels and back playing lots of soccer and running it tends to get ingrown easily. Im thinking about getting it fixed. Its a simple procedure yet hurts like a bugger for 2-3 days, then 4 weeks of been sensitive

Hi everyone
i know I haven’t actually bought these shoes......... yet, however
im watching a pair of Torrid size 11 heels on ebay. Can anyone shed some light on how these go size wise. Ive heard torrid is a big and wide make.
Any comparisons to nine west, wittner. Etc would be great.
thanks

Just out for a coffee and snack in Kings Cross Cafe strip
Wearing my NineWest ankle boots and jeggings.
Over time I have become far more adept at these heels. I had 3-4 pairs of heels that were in the 11-12 cm range which was right on the limit, but over time I can wear them and walk in them much better. My ankle must be improving its range slightly.
Have a great day

finally my last new pair of boots, second hand actually, as I bought them on ebay.
Country Road brand which is a high end brand making top quality clothing and shoes.
This pair of boots has a block heel 9.5cm and is all leather inside and out, elastic sides, in a mid grey and like most Country Road shoes, slightly wider than the norm so they fit beautifully.
They were an expensive purchase at $30, but these boots were likely $300-350 when new so Im really happy

I always have to take off my Heels at security, so I tend to wear ankle boots, rather than knee boots, apart from that, it also depends on length of flight and comfort of footwear, as your feet swell up to half a size on a flight.
I tend to only do shorter flights, either 30-40 mins up to 90 mins, so not to bad
Lastly, most airports are big commercial spaces and Ive found they all tend to like the hard polished floors which can be very slippery for a stiletto
Whichever you choose, good luck

Nice boots!
Definitely black I think.
More versatile - and red patent in a boot is pretty out there....
My issue is that I have lots of black boots. I have exactly ZERO pairs of bright red ones.
yet I know I would wear black one more
I will think on it

Went into WANTED shoes yesterday and tried on the SIREN 'posse' boots in black leather. They have an interesting flat type heel that is 9cm. I have been tossing up whether to get this in the black (which is after all a little more wearable day to day) or the Red patent.
Theyre both on special at moment from $249 to $120

Nice booties. Interesting, I wonder if Steve Madden will carry them this fall in the USA. I wonder if we see the same shoes.
Hi @Cali
I got them from an auction site and would guess they are 4-5 years old, so unlikely that you will see them

Glad they are such a great fit!
How much did you pay for these babies?
These were $20. so not too bad for a real suede pair.
-
I did mention that I got a few pairs of shoes
So here is the 2nd new purchase
Steve Madden black suede ankle boots
14cm heel, 3cm platform, size 11, The outer is black suede whilst the heel and platform are both gloss black creating a nice look.
They are the very first pair I have by Steve Madden and the size 11 fits nicely, good length and wider then most other 11s in the toe area. Even my slightly wider left foot is comfy.
The heel height takes a bit of getting used to, but is very solid, with no wobble in the heel.

Hi @pumps13
wow, they are great looking classic pumps. well done
Id love them both in a 12. Pity we dont have Nordstrom rack in AUS
I have found a couple of pairs of shoes on ebay and gumtree that were so cheap it didnt matter if they fitted or not. so i bought them
The 1st pair was a pair of dark purple strappy high heel sandals. They are marked 'BARKING' which doesnt come up when I search, so im thinking its a name one of our discount chains use for their shoes.
100% synthetic (LOL) but suede look.
12cm heel, 1.5cm platform, closed in toe, but with a wide toebed, rear zip entry.
They are marked size 10, but seller said they fit them as a normal 11 so I threw the dice and took my chances
At $10 they are a great buy I thought.

Although I dont feel short per se, at 5'11 and a bit im sligthly taller than average, but I do notice like you that i feel shorter when i take the heels off, it probably just a what your used to thing. You wear heels for a few hours and you take them off and your perspective changes, like moving from a low slung sports car to a high riding van.

Well the time has flown again, and Im on my last night here
I have ventured out and set many firsts for myself.
I have worn my thigh boots over tights to the bar.
I have worn knee high, high heeled boots over denim jeans to the restaurant and casino
I have worn my peep toe shoes to the bar and the city area in morning peak periods
I have worn my tight shiny leggings out to the local DFO, and again tonight to the bar

I certainly got lots of attention from the 3 girls who were tending the bar and floor.
As I was leaving, (I think the last one out) the managed asked if I was coming back tomorrow, when I said yes, 2 more nights, she said look forward to seeing you again.

Who has bought some new shoes

Hi to all
Well I ended up buying 1 of the pairs of TORRID shoes that were on Ebay AU. I wanted to see how they fit. The seller told me they were wide across the toes, so I jumped in.
I bought a pair of blue snake skin pattern platform pumps. 13cm heel, 2.5cm platform. They have a nice solid feel about them, but the platform doesnt bend so much and as they are un worn the sides and toe box are still quite stiff. I am sure they will soften with time and wearing.
They fit really well across the toe width wise, however they appear a bit bulky at the back, but all in all I like them and they are comfortable
