  1. A little late on this, but... Hdancer, You, as many of us, described me to a "T" (except I also love to wear stockings). It was an interesting childhood for me at times, and the fact you thought you were a "freak" also rings true as I believed this for a long time. Even questioned my sexuality at times even though I KNOW I was only attracted to women. I believe we are born with it; a "high heel gene" so to speak. Women are. You must know women who simply can't go outside or do anything without putting on heels...well, men enjoy, as you know, the same euphoric feeling with them on as well! We also can feel the same confidence boost, sense of sex appeal, and any of the feelings women can get while wearing their favorite pair of heels. So welcome aboard, and enjoy it here!!

  2. Very nice boots, Johnie! Nice additions everyone! Managed to break away for a few minutes to get pics of some of my latest additions. 1rst is a pair of 4" Baldolino Slingbacks from Macy's. 2nd is a pair of 5.5" (1" plat) wedges from Rue 21. Just $7 from the end of Summer clearance rack! Normally $59!! These are the ones I wore for 3 hours in 6 Flags last month! 3rd, 4.5" pumps from AJ Wright. 4th, Beautiful pair of 4.5" Oxfords from Guess. Got em at TJ Maxx... 5th is a pair of knee high boots my ex just bought for my birthday 2 days ago (not my B-day yet, but I'm not complaining..LOL). 4.5" heel and actually really comfortable! Will be the boots I wera to dinner and movies with Sherry on Monday night!

  3. jwhite, They are a different model. The "Domina" series from Pleaser are all listed as 6" heel (though only a few models actually achieve this height as most are 5.5"), the ones in the link are maybe 5". Also, yes, more or less any heeled boot you get from lower cost models (like the 4.5" Anne Michelles I got 2 days ago) have this. It's the only real way for people to buy "boots" for under a ton of money. They don't add any more support, as you guessed, than a pump of the same height. Also, Pleaser actually runs fairly consistant size wise. Their size 10 is a UK 7.5 and EU 40.5...and fit me with plenty of room. Luscious (Pleaser like brand) run much smaller. BTW, Newfie, those are sweet boots. Enjoy the mega jump from 4" to 5.5", and take it slow. You're getting into big league territory with them! LOL

  4. I agree it's all in some sort of genetic make-up. I was always able to walk gracefully in heels with no practice. Yet most people (men and women) can't. I get asked how long I practice to be able to walk in my heels all the time, and they never believe me when I tell them I never had to practice. The rare times (usually when in high plats and drunk) when I wobble it's my ankles going inwards slightly...

  5. While I still get the "butterflies" it always helps if you know someone who will go with you. About 2 years ago, I was seeing this lady from my job who loves wearing 3.5-4" heels (part of my attraction to her no doubt). I went and re-applied at the same job for the winter, and saw her. We talked and 2 times we've been out to Friendly's and movies. I told her before of my love for heels, and she can understand. Not only that, she begged me to wear them out with her! First time out, I had to down 3 glasses of wine first. We went to Friendly's and it was packed. The tile floor betrayed my 4" stilettos which were well hidden (only saw the pointed toe and tip of heel) and I got a few looks. She was with me wearing her 4" sandals, and encouraging me to "work it"! The movies were the same, but by then, I was more relaxed and walking confidentley! Few people noticed, but I think they noticed her more. By the time the movie ended, I was purposely walking over the tiled sections of the floor, pant legs rolled, and loving it! I doubt I'd have experienced this alone. I needed Sherry there, but found it was awsome! I'm lucky to know her, and I know we're going out soon while I wear my new 4.5" stiletto heeled pointy toed boots. My pants won't be too long, though! You know people who would support you, I promise. They make it easier!

  6. I also have to agree with the pointed tow, 5" stiletto pump. Especially low/no vamp and thin stiletto. My first pair of heels I owned (a friend's sister threw hers away when I was 12) was a pair of these, and they've always been my faves.

  7. Hi Henri, I was supposed to have been working at the Aldo's at the Mall of NH in Manchester, they need more help at the Aldo's in Nashua, so I bounce between the 2. I just open on Saturday and Sundays now. I haven't worked in heels yet, though a few of my customers seem to be urging me to. Soon, and I'll take pics...:winkiss: Thanks!

  8. Usually, with most heels, you want to go 1.5 sizes higher from men's to get your women's size...BUT, a size 9.5 Pleaser gives me plenty of room, where a size 10 Luscious is tight. Size 9.5 Bandolino is comfortable where a size 10 Guess is tight. If they can do it, have them order a 12.5 and 13. 13.5, if I had to guess, would slip off the foot backs for you.

  9. 5.5" to start (no plats)?? Yes, a bit mad. I've been wearing heels since I can almost remember, and have a tough time walking gracefully for long distances in 5.5+" heels. The 5"ers with the 1" plat are much better, if still a bit tough on beginners. While theorectically speaking, it's only a 4" lift, the plat takes away a bit of stability. Excellent advice on shortening your gait, and keep your back straight and strong, toes pointed straight. Always heel-toe with a nice and smooth arc from the heel to the toe as your weight goes over each step. Keep your chin up, posture good, and keep it slow. Good luck.
