  1. Thanks guys! OK, quick report on the Six Flags trip: Arrived with my fellow club employees, dressed in normal garb (although we all had bright red shirts with our club's logo). They all knew I brought my wedges in a bag, and knew why (they've known about my heeling for a while..LOL). They didn't think I'd actually do it, though. I must admit, I was nervous, but I did get an awsome pedicure just for this occasion, right. Walked away from the bench back towards the lockers after I put them on, with the bartender and owner next to me, giggling, but supportive. It took about 3 minutes to feel comfortable being in such a public place, but once there, I went on the Superman, Batman, Mind-Eraser, and several other rides while wearing them. On the Mind-eraser (you hang upside down under the bar), the 2 operators asked if my shoes would stay on, but nothing negative...:w00t2: The shoes were comfortable for the few hours I had them on, and about 1/2 hour before we left, I changed back. No problems at all, though no real encounters with people questioning me (us) about my shoes. It was mostly "business as usual", if a few glances. But, it makes a huge difference when you're with others who are friends, and cause you to get your mind off others around you. It was kinda an eye-opener for me. I never would have done so by myself.

  2. As with anything else in life, all decisions come with consequences. To repress or not? To splurge or not? What may be easy for someone in my "shoes" to be able to do may not be easy for another. While I, now (especially since I've been a member here), would never dream of taking the "pill", I'm also not in the same position as others.

  3. I must have missed the posted about testy people. I will share my thoughts on the matter of ignoring what may bring our ire up, though. As long as you let someone's post/word/saying/etc bother you, in any way, then you let them dictate how your life goes. Just ignore what you don't like, and concentrate on the rest of the stuff here you do. I personally would miss your postings, especially if you left for something trivial...

  4. Thanks everyone! jwhite44 - her hand may have been just on my back. Maybe my butt...I wish I remembered..LOL Yeah, Jamie's pretty cool. I was wearing my clear stripper heels when we met. She, with some help from me, ventured out about 2 months back in 3" heels to the club. She looked great, but didn't enjoy it for herself, so I never push it. She likes when I wear my heels out on occasion though, which is nice! Johnie, only for the night. I let her get back to beer duties shortly after! :winkiss: Henri, my boss didn't appreciate me calling out at 3am on Saturday when she knew I was drunk. So I don't think things are great at Aldo's right now. Couple that with me starting a 55 hr per week job (landscaping is over for the season now) next week, I don't know how long the Aldo job will now last. I need to purchase another pair of shoes at employee 50% soon...LOL

  5. Different shoe designs can change the lift angle. The ones with a shorter toe-box always means easier walking. There is a noticable difference in angle between those 2 shoes at only 1cm difference in heel height. I'm guessing the higher heels has a similiar lift angle as a roughly 5" heel, or maybe a touch more. It is steep.
