I think I have been pretty satisfied with somewhat plain looking 3-4" heels this past year. I feel the more discreet look was a great stepping stone for me to get me moving to the next level.

Recently, I have been more daring wearing 4" -5" and not quite as discreet but also still not advertising what I am doing if possible.

I think this is a great idea, it came from a recent jwhite44 post. I really hope he doesn't mind me putting this up, but it was a couple of weeks back since he made this post and have not seen it come up since, so here we go. [Also, hoping this has not already been done, I did a search but didn't see one that was quite the same...]

Indicate your level of heeling:

ADMIRE - You think about heels quite often, you like to see them on others, but will not wear them.

FANTASY - You would like to wear them, but circumstances will not allow you to wear them.

PRIVACY - You wear your heels strictly in private. Perhaps occasionally worn in the car or similar situation, but definitely out of public view.

DISCRETION - You wear androgynous, discreet, and/or lower heels in public, doing your best to hide that you are wearing them.

NEUTRAL/INDIFFERENT - You heel in public and don't hide them, but aren't blatent about it. You're indifferent to what people think or don't mind some attention.

SHOW OFF - You wear heels in full display and perhaps a bit more of the fem. You know you are going to get attention and enjoy the attention.

FULL FEM - You go out either fully feminine dressed or very close to it. You expect to be noticed and get attention and you love every minute of it.

Before this past year, I was in the privacy category. I then moved into the discretion category for most of the past year. I would like to think that recently I have moved into the neutral category as I don't hide it so much, but also am not obvious about it, and I don't care if I get stares or attention really.

Nice ones Scot. Cool seems were getting just about everyone on board. It would be pretty tough to call a winner I think, there are quite a few great legs posted so far. Each one with his own extra quality to add. Sort of like comparing apples to oranges here really.

Were do you get your skirts. I like the skirts and they make it looks nice. Plus the sweater dress of your wife, where is that from?

The sweater dress that I borrowed from my wife, I think was from Victoria's Secret bought several years ago, pretty sure its no longer sold there.

And, the one you thought was a skirt was actually another stretch kind of dress. That one was from Bebe from a year or two back. Here is one that is pretty close but not exactly the same one. The one I have looks like a thinner material... I wouldnt call the black one I have a sweater dress exactly as the one advertised seems to be.

Nice thread Johnie, just noticing it for the first time. I especially like the pictures from your earlier post here.

As a few others have said, do long bootcut jeans over more subtle looking heels, here are a few samples of what I have used so many times to go out heeling. These are some older pictures from when I was starting out, and I have more recently gone a little bit further than this, but I still stick pretty close to this look when I am outside. Hope this helps, you can go your own route, but I choose a slower path to streetheeling than many here have done... NOTE: some of the pictures are with one pant leg pulled up, one has both pant legs pulled up, just to show whats under the jeans.

Great thread Roz, but I am afraid I will never get one of these. I seem to have no idea what celebs are wearing on their feet. Ahh well, I'll keep looking each day though and perhaps over time I will learn much more about celebs feet after following this thread for a while.

Yes, I dont know specifically the ones you mention, but similar to spikes comment, the ones in my avatar have a 1/2 inch hidden plat too, cant tell its there, and it makes the shoe very comfortable. Based on that, I say go for it. These hidden plats are winners in my book.

EDIT: Just found some that I think you are speaking of here, and absolutely yes, get them if you want to. I don't think you can go wrong with them.

Well, many of you have seen my recent posts in the past week, so I'll just re-link most of the pics from it here for what its worth. Not any new ones here... #1, #2, #3, #4, #5, #6, #7, #8

Same here jojo, just started epilating about 2 months ago, at first was discouraged by the pain, but was determined to get through it to make sure I wanted to do it or abandon it. Well, completed most of my body below the neck over about a week timeframe and took me about 5 one hour sessions in all to get it done. Thankfully my back has very little hair, so I dont need to hit back there thank goodness. I also leave hair on my arms (and now will do it seasonally on the legs, so I don't look too feminine in shorts in the summer) Follow up sessions are easier and much quicker, the hairs grow back slower and unevenly (some grow back nearly as fast as after a shave, while others take much longer to grow back). Anyway, I need to do light followups about once a week so far and its pretty quick to do the follow up, about 30 minutes or less. Yes, it seems once you start you are "stuck" with it pretty much, or perhaps addicted to it may be more accurate. Anyway, the feeling of completely smooth skin all over the body is incredible. Women have had this wonderful secret to themselves for far too long

Thanks Dawn, really appreciate the compliment. I've had occasional compliments on my legs in the past, but have never shown them in this way before. The most I could display them in my normal day to day life, was wearing mens knee length shorts, mens sandals, and of course covered with hair. So I only occasionally got any notice of my legs, this kind of feedback is really a trip, but is great nonetheless. As for future photos, the bulk of my shoe/boot collection is now wedges, ankle and knee boots, many of which look more androgynous than sexy (since I do somewhat low profile street heeling), but I promise I'll get to another round of shots in the not too distant future.

Just L'eggs brand sheer style, nothing exciting really. I like that brand as they are pretty cheap and last a long time, I have tried more expensive nylons, and they are no better in my opinion. The last shots of them (bottom of page 2) made them look kind of sparkly due to the dark background and camera flash, but they are just regular nylons. I normally wear L'eggs tights under my jeans, those are really durable in my opinion.

Great legs!!! I REALLY hope that they aren't the last pics that we see from you for a while. It would be a shame not being able to share pics of legs like yours with everyone.

Well in another thread, I mentioned that my wife has some attraction to women, and has experimented there in her younger days. She does not consider herself bisexual, but the attraction is still there to an extent.

So to your question, she likes when I do it on rare occasion in privacy of our home, I would guess it lets me be that occasional girlfriend she may never have.

She would not like for me to dress to this level in public. My current streetheeling with womens jeans is about as far I personally would go in public, and she agrees with that. Hope that answers it for you?

Thanks everyone for the kind words. It was really fun to do this and hear your feedback. It will probably be a while before I do pictures like this again, but many of you motivated me to give it a test run this time and it was great. Being a part of this forum has helped me to do many things I never thought I would do.

I don't think this represents who I am on a daily basis (my last avatar was a more accurate representation: bootcut jeans with tights and block heels under), but I wanted to show my legs one time, since I won't do that sort of thing in the open and pretty rarely, I figure why not here.

I agree with what many have said, I think the taboo part of it adds to the excitement. As I wear them now, I put them on any chance I can, and since I can't do it full time (I do streetheel, but less often at work and similar situations), it tends to be about 50% in heels, 50% out of heels. I think if it were fully accepted, the 50% ratio would probably still apply. I might not be in the same frame of mind wanting to wear them any chance I can, and the times I wear them in would be planned more than now according to the occasion, but I think I would still love to wear them regardless.

ok last photos probably for a bit anyway, I grabbed the good camera after my wife went to bed, and got some much clearer shots. For the epilator, just got one from Sin Dolor, just search for them online, you can get them many places such as Amazon, etc. Yes, they are pretty painful especially the first time, it gets easier to do each for each followup.
