Well, for the last 7-8 years I have had my toes painted, done by a spa and Lady who I know well on a regular basis. It is great! I started with a full pedicure, I found it to be a major stress relief having my foot massaged. Then to top it all off getting them painted, I am hooked. I t also made me pay more attention to my feet and hands. It does not bother me if I am seen in public with them done or not, I do it for me. My GF does not mind me dong them either, in fact at Christmas we do a couples pedicure with wine and cheers with the spa owners. Mtnsofheels

Why not, life is for living and this is a great part of it. French for summer, colours for winter months; I do both, only french on my fingers though. Special occasions maybe. Mtnsofheels

Well I think you could put on a female or a male and fit the person quite well. The heel would suggest womens, but I think the oxford is a mens style. Nice shoe none the less. Who makes that shoe anyway? Is it still available some where? Mtnsofheels

Sandalguy, I guess that would catch you off guard for sure, geez even before coffee. What kind of shoe did you have on? I am now looking toward summer and warm temps, time to look for sandals and other fum summer heels. Thanks for sharing the encounter. Mtnsofheels

Hi Sandalguy, I have a pair of Aerosoles from a few years ago which I wear in the summer. They have a nice selection of sandals this year, am looking for a wedge for this year. Might have to look at them closer when I go shopping! Time to shed winter! Mtnsofheels

I found this wild photo of Heidi Klum wearing a pair of Alexander McQueen's Platform boots. These are a mere 12" plats! Wow, and to have the her wear them OMG!
Mtnsofheels.
Hope this works!

Wow that can certainly play with the mind, as well as show that both men and women can sway the looks to the point of confusion. Good pics and thanks for setting that up OLC. Pictures like that let one think about more outfits and put togethers which we could do. Awesome, thanks, Mtnsofheels

Ct03si, Wow what a nice way to begin heeling together. Great story and how exciting for you and hopefully your GF! As it becomes more common for you both maybe you look forward to outdoor experiences together. Enjoy it while you can! Mtnofheels

Greetings Duck, Nice job on the walk about. The looks are nice and discreet and certainly gives the confidence to do more of those walks. Try the boots, it is another great adventure to be done in the cooler months. Mtnsofheels

Balletbooter,
I have seen boots like these, Jean Gaborit from Paris makes custom made boots that are to die for. Many styles and quality boots. I have a couple of pairs and I am planning for a couple more. The styles you are after can be found in their collections in nappa and many other leather types.
Let me know what think.

Nice Sandals, cool that you could share them with your wife/SO and have similar interests. It will be a while before sandals come out here in Canada, new snow yesterday. Your sandals sent me dreaming! Thanks for sharing, Mtnsofheels

I agree with JMC, all feet look better in heels. I am a size 11womens but they look proportional to my size. I have seen drop dead gorgeous girls in size 11-12 heels and taller than me at 180cm/5'11" and they look right on for proportional heel/height with a 4.5" heel. All feet can look good! Mtnsofheels

Well now it has been awhile since I have seen some imaginary "footwhere?" like that, most interesting. I don't think I walk in it but to stand in it maybe. No doubt it would cost a bundle to own the heel-less shoe, imagination gone wild! Hmmmm....I think so. Mtnsofheels

Great gift, that would be a cherished gift for sure. Lucky you able to fit and swap shoes, ultimate S.O.! Mtnsofheels

The 2 ( heels and jeans) go together very well. A parallel? I am not sure. I have worn womens jeans for years and they just fit better on me. only thing I am not crazy about is the ultra low cuts which do not work at all for me, just not enough material to keep the tiger in! LOL. I recently got 2pairs of 1921 jeans that fit really well, they are a low cut but high enough to look good. Underwear that is like a high cut or thong works better than boxers. Mtnsofheels

I would pay more if they did not have my size. Fortunately my foot size is a womens 10.5-11 and i can get shoes and boots most of the time. That said, I have found nice shoes and boots from European companies like Laboutin and Clergerie do not often come bigger than 10/40-41. That is where I would spend the money, Laboutin's. Gaborit custom makes boots in any size and yes I did pay more for custom sizing. Mtnsofheels

Good Tread! I would love to be able to wear a platform shoe/boot of 1/2-3/4 with heel of about 3-5". However my work is mostly in ski and hiking boots. Heeled boots/shoes would not work. However on my time off or in the city a wedge boot and/or platform boot. I don't care for the really big plats with chunky heels unless I go to a 80's party. Yes most of my collection has a platform of some degree. Mtnsofheels

Cool story thanks for sharing. It would be sweet to share shoes with S.O./partner if we had the same sizes. I am 41/10-11 and GF is 37/7-8. It would make a huge combined footwear selection, problem would be having to 2 pairs of same styles when we both want to where them. Dang guess I'll have to buy my own... mtnsofheels

Well now winter has hit everywhere. We have just enduured a 2 week cold snap with little snow .Temps have been down to minus -38c / -34f in Banff and -30c / -22 where I am just into BC. Normally we have a lot snow by now but have been in cold high pressure, oh yes the wind has not been added to those temps so it has been even colder feeling. For the first time I have been thinking about a warmer place to be rather than here. I work in the ski industry so winter is my thing but this is way to cold..... I heard on the news that for the first since earlier 70's that all of Canada from Victoria to the east coast will have snow for a Christmas, we have been accustomed to green holiday seasons on the west coast. Warming is only happening with hot buttered rums and hot mulled wines right now us here! Have a Great Christmas!! Mtnsofheels

Astrid, Nice pair of boots from LKBennett! Those are awesome, and to get on hold for you is really a good deal. Mtnsofheels

That is a nice trick for the smooth soles. Say 6inforever, where did you get your anti-slip pads at? How many in a package? Thanks for the info. Mtnsofheels

My Sunday morning reading found an article in SF Gate about walking in heels without pain.
Here is the link,
http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2008/12/19/LVTI14ITL5.DTL&type=living
Hopefully that connects you to the article.
It gives some hope to avoid walking in pain and explains one opinion but the sexiness of heels!

Great story Secondtake20, It is so nice to hear a story like that. So glad you had great shopping experience. That is the kind of stuff which makes us do that-I mean shopping and going out on a limb to push beyond and try them out. Makes one want to go and shop until we drop... Great story for one's own Chirstmas thinking.. Best of the Holiday Season! Mtnsofheels

ct03si, Awesome, you will be so excited when you get them! And then trying them on! They do look cool, and even with jeans they would look hot. I have a pair of Nine wests' coming tomorrow as well, a short 9" boot with 4" heel. good spring boots. Can't wait either. Mtnsofheels
