    Hello dwright2104, Welcome and glad you have found the HHPlace. As Bubba136 said, we have all been at the same point as you, wondering really what makes us so crazy about heels, I have not found exactly why but have just gone with it and enjoy the fact I do love em to bits. Heels are a lot of different things for different people, I was glad to find this place at least we have a common interest instead of being on our own and wondering about self.     Ronnie, That is so sad that you had/did throw your shoes away. That hurts! The desire to wear will never go, and knowing that you could always lay it out like; Honey this is not going away, what is it that you do not feel good about me wearing these kind of shoes? Is there a way I could wear shoes/boots that you would be OK with? Are you worried of what other people might think about me and/or you? I do not want put you in a uncomfortable position but I would like to be able to experience what you do and with you. That is what I have done in the past, it has worked for me. Mtnsofheels

    Hiline, Great story of your heeling. In time you will find ways to to cut the 9 weeks down to whenever you want. That is only 5.5 times a year, you will become undernourished in heeling! We only live once! But at least you do it a little, that is better than looking at them through a window. Mtnsofheels

    UGGS Hate them or Love them?

    Uggs! The original one you see most of, I do not like. However I have 2 pairs of Ugg's Brooks Tall boot which have a smooth leather bottom and tall sheep hide shaft with a decent sole in a dark brown. I use these all winter and they look way better that the other Ugg's and warm. They also have other styles in Uggs which are found in various stores like Nordstroms that you do not see anywhere else on the market. Mtnsofheels

    Hey Big "D", Sorry to here about the changes, but more so congrats to you for a rebirth in in heels and corsets! Awesome look with the corset, and new nice boots and shoes. I too am on the edge of change similar to what you have just done. We just need our time and space for our fun stuff, go for it you've done well! Mtnsofheels

    My GF knows and is Ok with me wearing heeled boots and some shoes. It was a bit of a test last fall when in the Grand Canyon, she might have been a worried about what would happen should someone say something. However it has got a to point that I am wearing them and it is for me, so she is coming around to accepting it now. A pair pumps would cause more worries but I think it will be fine this year with lower profile heels. Mtnsofheels

    The problem is as we know,it is not just a dream pair, but several pairs. I would start with a Laboutin - "Rolanlo" pump. They are awesome! Good thing they are expensive, otherwise I would be more tempted to find them. Next would an pair Shoesusa, Nanette boot. they might fall my way sooner than a pair of Laboutins. My plan is to where the ones I have in public as much as I can so I can justify getting more! Mtnsofheels
