  1. Hose is almost as like buying shoes, lots to choose from and lots styles and qualities. They feel wonderful on freshly shaven legs, excellent for travel as well. Long flights a real good support hose, the medical version is quite expensive has a greater % of spandex are excellent and I do not miss using them when flying for leg pains/thrombosis. Wolfords are awesome quality and expensive,(nice note Dawn about cotton gloves, good idea) but when you feel great and spicy "Wolfords". Activeskin/Comfilons are really good as well, the Gerber line is quite durable. When just a casual day some lesser qualities do suffice. Leggs are good too! I buy 2 pair of the same just make sure I have a back up with me. I remember a site named here somewhere, I can't find it now but it is from London and really nice selection of pantyhose stockings and kneehighs, does anyone remember the name of that hose store? Good discussion! Mtnsofheels

  2. Greetings, I am building a interest in going to London to see and experience the likes of which you written about. I will do a post to source more locations and suggestions about where to go and stay. Thanks for the information. Mtnsofheels

  3. I am a wearer of heels when I can, commonly wear wedge and lower heels(2-4"/5-10cm heels) with jeans. Have been out in spikes and taller heels but has been awhile. At work it just can't happen because in the mountains I would no doubt crash going over rough terrain. It is all about when I can and I do wear heels then as much as possible. Mtnsofheels

  4. Glad you brought this post up again troipattes. Interesting question, once a person is faced with purchasing or wishing to purchase a pair of boots/shoes/heels. Since last Nov I have purchased a pair of boots from Jean Gaborit that where, I have to admit-480euro. They have been very worth while and plan to do more before I check out myself, its not the cost but the value in which a style or maker brings with a pair that you purchase. That is shopping and how one goes about it, and that is the fun/exciting part about heels and heeling! Problem is we just want to keep doing that shopping as London Paul has stated, hoping for bacon sandwiches. Mtnsofheels

  5. This is the test for sure if one has reassurance from family and friends! Well for me I my GF knows as is OK with it, only have one member left in my family who does not know nor will she as she is on her way out and has to deal with dementia. Friends do not know and probably would not be all that accepting since i work in a macho industry. But then I have never tried either. Interesting situation. I am sensitive to wearing heels in and around my work place but travel with a full load of shoes and boots to make up for it. Yes! Mtnsofheels
