I know how that goes, some fits are better than other and then you go and find one that fits so well and you get a second pair, I have done that

several times too, guilt for the second pair then you get the dilemma of what to do...ugh! Back up for favourite pairs of shoe/boots is a good thought.

I think that every person gets to pick what they like, and on some people platforms and non platforms can both look really good depending on outfit, confidence and how one carries themselves. Styles come and go and so does and individuls taste. I really like both styles and presently wear both eagerly with nice jeans, skinny and bootcut styles.

In time we can look back and know that at least we had a chance experience both styles, that is what I will like remember.

I think it does not really matter what someone else thinks I look like, donk or not, it is what I feel that counts to me.

Greetings trickrider1, those are Nanette boots from ShoesUSA in LA. Really well built and super comfy. I have 2 pairs of them now, brown and black.

Dang, I got Stiletto....most happy with that one!

I do love platforms boots and shoes, I just got this pair of knee high boots which have a 5.5" heel and a 1" platform. The heel is

chunky and they are stable for walkng in. These fit into your thread to a "T", my new favs!

It has been awhile since I have posted anything new. Recently I ordered a pair of Nanette Boots from ShoesUSA and finally got them today.

They are soft black calf leather, knee high with 5.5" heel and 1' platform. They are nice, just luv them and they fit to a "T".

The heel is thicker which I quite like (read stable). ShoesUSA do an excellent job and make large sizes and custom fittings, even for big feet like size 12, they do cost but certainly worth the price. I might add that they have changed the website recently, took out many styles which prompted me to order these before I could not  get them anymore.

My new favorite boots for sure!

I too have toes done every month, hand every 2 weeks or so. That was only a recent swap from doing my own hands, I switched to gel for longer, stronger last longer without the fuss for me. Many folks know that I do. I also would say that doing them regularly has improved their shape and look and kept them in better shape.

I do bright colors and and sometimes with a speckle overlay.

I would be a number #4 most of the time but still need vigilance where and some occasions due to my work.

Away from home areas I do not care as much. I do feel at some point it will be a #5 but couple of years off.

Good question Histilleto, I like frestyle75's idea of a chart and categories as that is similar to my way of thinking about my collection. Having cleaned up the house, collection and passed on few pairs to the second hand store, I now feel it is getting down to a regular collection of regular worn shoes/boots. But I do find that I have an eye out for some specific styles which will always keep me looking for a purchase. Like looking around in Europe one may find a great chance to get a good pair of boots. But how many is enough and when is the saturation level finally met. Well awhile I saw an interview with Celine Dion and Ellen DeGeneres when she admitted to a collection of 3000 pairs, wow, that is a collection. That would be something and mostly to much...for me.

I am around 20-25 pairs now it feels good, but always room for a special pair more though!

Hmm...interesting...I think put another pair tights and go for a walk in the -20c with some kinky boots!

Well for like I have been in 1921 jeans which fit nicely, however they have gone by the wayside.

Recently I have gotten 2 pairs of True Religion Jeans and are now my favorites.

"Becky" a boot cut was exceptional.
