  1. I wouldn't be attracted to a guy who wears heels.

This is a tricky one. I don't think I would either, despite the fact that my own husband has worn high heels on stage for years (and looks great BTW) - and I also have no problems with any guy wearing heels if he chooses - it's a free world after all.

The Jury's out on this for me at the moment........

  2. Funnily enough, there is an hour long documentary on UK Channel 4 television TONIGHT about this.

It's titled 'Amish - World's Squarest Teenagers' - and it takes the form of 5 US Amish teenagers coming over to London for 2 weeks to experience modern Western European culture.

It will be interesting to see the reactions and hear first hand, their own views on our so-called free society.

    It's on at 8.00pm.

  3. I know two Amish familes from my husband's travels in the USA. I have to say that I very much doubt that any young Amish girl would have asked about where she could buy a pair of your partner's shoes. There is no way that she would be able to wear them unless she was prepared to be ostracised by the rest of her community.

I agree with Dr. Shoe and Benno. You are a guest in their Community and should show them due respect.

  4. wow thankyou for your comments, i love nice comments lol. i think these red would look very nice but i chose the black as i love the way black leather or p u look,

i do try my hardess not to look like a guy when im dolled up so thankyou,it means a lot

I've sent you a PM over at 'Facebook' Sweetie.

  5. another favourite pair of mine are these 5 inch sandals with no platform from fredericks, nice and high and belive it or not super comfortable

let me know what you think

'Frederick's of Hollywood' always carry fabulous ranges in high heels, and have been doing so since the 1940's. I often go to them for more exotic strappy high heels.

Those look wonderful.....and I have to say, I had to take a second look at your photograph before I realised that you're a guy. You look amazing.....and you have absolutely fantastic legs!!!

  6. Firstly, thanks to all you guys who have posted. Your stories make very interesting and entertaining reading.

What is most fascinating about the comments here, is that it would seem that the 'first steps in high heels' seem to be the same for both girls and boys. In fact there is a common 'secret' aspect to both sexes initial experiences of high heels.

Many of you have posted about 'borrowing' your Mum's, Sister's or other female relation's high heels, and I have to say that it's the same for girls. After all, what other role models did any of us all have?

I didn't have an elder Sister, I was the oldest - but - my first experience of high heels was when I was around 8 or 9 years old, sneaking into my Mum's bedroom when she and my Dad were out for a while, and trying on her high heels.....and make-up.

Whilst they were far too big for me at that age, the sense of wonder at all those pretty things, the excitement and feelings of empowerment was quite intoxicating. That, and the hilarity over my tentative steps, more falling about than mincing about! However, I was amazed at how quickly walking (well...shuffling) in high heels came to me...and I think if you ask the other girls here they will say similar things about borrowng their Mum's or older Sister's heels.

Luckily, my Mother wasn't a prude around things like this, and by the time I was 15 or 16, high heels (boots and party heels), had become an almost essential part of my teenage wardobe. This of course was accelerated by the 'discovery' of boys...and their attraction to girls in high heels!

The rest, as they say - is history.

  7. As an experienced high heels wearer of some 25 years, I can certainly concur that they have an effect on my muscles and tendons. So much so, that it actually hurts to walk in flats for a while after changing shoes sometimes.
  8. hi Marcus, i ordered a pair of 5" leather KHB's from Fuss some 2-3 years back & they told me the same... to order my usual size (42)... & true to their word... they were a perfect fit...!

also, their customer service is second-to-none... the boots i received had a frayed & broken zip on opening them, they covered postage costs & sent them back to me repaired within the fortnight...! top notch...!

go get 'em... they are truley awesome boots...! you'll be the envy of the forum if you get your hands on a pair of those...! good luck...!

It's the same with shoes too. Absolutely 'top notch' service and quality. I have a few pairs from them and they are all wonderful.

  9. I recently bought a pair of unworn vintage wihte kid skin full length opera gloves, but I'm a little puzzled about them.

I've posted the pics and as you'll see, they're somewhat tiny.

I know the old fashioned gloves had to be stretched wet and that there was a special button tool, but other than that, help!!

I'd love to be able to wear them as they'd be so tight and cover my whole arm!

Does anybody know the procedure of putting these on?

I LOVE Opera gloves and have many pairs.

The trick is to fold them down inside out, with just ONE fold.....from about halfway up the glove back down to the fingers. Slide your hands in and make sure that your fingertips are right in....then simply roll the rest of the glove up your arm. When the whole glove is on....gently pull them tight, holding the very top seam.

  10. I'll have all of them, thanks.

Anybody got a time machine I can borrow?

OMG Cinnamon...for a minute I thought you said "I HAVE all of them thanks"....I was just about to tear my hair out!!

My husband met David Tennant last year....should I give him a call...and then we can both go......and squabble over the Leopard mules...and the rest too..!!

  11. Hi,

i'm thinking about buying a pair of ballet heels from Kassiopeya (http://www.kassiopeya.de/Ballett-High-Heels) but i'm a little bit worried about the quality because they cost only the half of Devious/Pleaser ballet heels. Has anyone tried the ballet heels from Kassiopeya and can say something about the quality?

Now...I may be wrong here...however I think that 'Pata' from 'Light-Fetish.de' wears these....she has the Pink boots I believe. I am willing to be corrected - but that is a fine recommendation if it is the case.

  12. I would take a walk down Oxford Street...and also some of the side streets off it. If you're walking from Marble Arch to Centrepoint (showing my age....) - there are some good little shops hidden away to the right....at the top of Soho.

  14. Lovely gallery, and some gorgeous boots included as well as the legendary Ms Page.

I've always wondered where one can buy vintage fetish heels or even good reproductions of the Achilles range etc.

The closest I've found was Burlesque Blue's Betty Boo courts...
