  1. I get a lot of stares, because my heel height tend to be really high. I wear 6" more than I do 5". I've had several people both women and guys ask me how I could walk in such high heels so gracefully. But that's to the extent of the interest. Typical I guess.

Same here, lots of stares, questions...and some compliments too....but nothing to worry about.

  2. "Nothing" is the only choice that isn't creepy, unless you can wear her shoes and she lets you. Even then, I don't see how asking her mother works. "Mrs. Smith, Jane said I could wear her heels while she's in Europe." Not so much.

    Agreed.

My gosh, man! Let hers go and go get your own. :)

    Agreed again.

  3. kutenkinky: Don't listen to anyone else when it comes to what YOU want to wear and how YOU want to wear it. Wear what you want and be happy about your decision.

I fully agree, there is no 'hard and fast' rule about peep-toe heels.

Just as an example, there is often discussion about the wearing of pumps with, or without hose. I prefer to wear pumps with hose, as they are an enclosed shoe and make my feet warmer, so, I wear hose. However I can wear them without hose as well, although I avoid this in heels with lower cut vamps, as I personally regard toe-cleavage as 'tacky'.

So, if the shoe is a true 'peep'....then I often wear hosiery as peep-toes can be either a pump or a slingback sandal. I like wearing seamed hosiery with peep-toes as it can look very smart. Then again, they can look fabulous without hose too.

At the end of the day, it is entirely a personal choice.

  4. Singer-songwriter, and guitarist Tracey Thorn ('Everthing but The Girl') was on BBC Breakfast this morning wearing a gorgeous pair of peep-toe sandal boots in grey suede....(good old BBC Breakfast - first with high heels!).

Here's a few 'snips'....not very well enhanced, but they give you an idea.

  5. I have a suggested training method for those who would like to wear 6 inch heels, but find it very uncomfortable to do much more than take a few steps in them. My wife used this method to master walking in 6 inchers after one year and I am now using it myself. Begin by walking every day for a half hour in 4 inch heels. After one month, walk for 5 minutes in 5 inch heels and 25 minutes in 4 inchers. Each month add another 5 minutes in the 5 inchers and 5 minutes less in the 4 inchers. Beginning the 7th month, walk for 5 minutes in 6 inch heels and 25 minutes in 5 inch heels. Again each month, add another 5 minutes to the 6 inchers and subtract 5 minutes from the 5 inchers. After one year, you will be able to walk over 2 miles in your 6 inch heels. Of course, if you are already comfortable wearing 5 inch heels for extended periods, you can skip the first 6 months of this regimen. The key is to gradually train and strengthen your ankle and calf muscles to allow you to walk with your foot in a highly elevated position.

2 miles in 6" heels after a year??!! Yeah right...and pigs might fly! Have you any idea just how far 2 miles is?? You're claiming that ...let's say...you can walk around the average F1 Grand Prix circuit in 6" heels in comfort.....or 2 laps of the Indy 500!

More likely it will TAKE you a year to walk that far in 6" heels!

  6. They sounded grt! Describe them

They were WHITE Italian leather with silk linings....very expensive. They pulled on, but were fastened up with a little 'popper-strap' at the wrists. The fingers had little silver studs all the way up the back (tops), and the sleeves came up to my elbows, and then flared out. The actual gauntlets had 3 rows of studs, one along the top and 2 all the way up each side, and the seams at the bottom were finished off with 4" fringes, that hung down all the way down the gauntlet, from the flare at the elbow to along the edge of the little finger.

They were very 'girly', and absolutely gorgeous....and I had a matching White jacket too. I had them for a long, long time before they got lost in a house move (I think...:)).

  7. Oooo, you read my mind. That's why I wear them a lot around the house. I mean, it's a combo of high heels and really showing off your sexy feet. In fact one time, I had to open the door because of a largeer package I received from the mail man. I was wearing my mules with a pair of capris. I can see his eyes just staring at my feet nearly the whole time, lol.

^^ Totally! My Postman often has an eyeful of 4" heels and Neon Pink toes!:)

  8. I actually do not care and his shoewear does not influence what I feel for him. But still there are some occasions where I do not like what he wears... still it is his decision, isn´t it. I probably would not even say anything then... but I WOULD tell him I love it when he wears what I like :).

The same here. I don't often have to complain however, as my husband has excellent taste.

  9. I've approached hundreds of girls in broad daylight with only a tiny few negative responses.

The key for me was to approach the girl from the front, so she could see my entire body from head to toe and therefore size me up and assess her safety.

When I approached from the side, I almost always got a negative reaction.

Rules of body language and personal territory. Be seen on approach, Keep your distance and always be polite and courteous. If in a line it can be difficult to catch the eyeline.

  10. I think that this is the kind of thing that Members can choose to do on a one to one basis if they so wish. Besides, I have no idea of the logistics that might be involved for the Site owners here.
  11. ^^ Same here. I'm not a great fan of the very pointy shoe but they are really smart. Fuss-Schuhe carry very pretty, high quality shoes...and Michael Antonio are no exception. Nice heels.
  12. Thank you for your reply about the brand and model :-)

May I ask you if you own extreme high heels like these ?

If so, does it take long to get use to them ?

(I admit I am very curious to see for myself how it would be to wear such heels)

Happy heeling and have a nice weekend !

    Daniel

Looking at these again, it is possible that these actual heels are Custom Made, as the heel looks slightly longer than that on the standard Scream shoe. However, this may simply be the camera angle, so I am happy to stay with my first pick.

I do own a couple of pairs of extreme heels like these, I also have two pairs of strappy sandals with extreme steel spike heels as well. They are very much an accquired taste when it comes to wearing them, and walking takes hours, and hours, and hours of practice....(well, it did for me!).

  13. now this is a turn up for the books, things must be changing for me at home because i am now going to the rocky horror picture show in bristol, cant wait.

my chance to do some public heeling yay:smile:.

Have you ever seen 'Hedwig and The Angry Inch'?? It's along similar lines...not a Horror story....but definitely an opportunity to dress up! The music is wonderful too. It was originally a stage musical...and was made into a film in 2001....here's a link to the background info':

  14. I voted "No"...

Found pictures of amazing heels on the internet.

I don't own any shoes that high but I'm sure they would be amazing to try :)

I guess I would not go very far without falling...:P

They are Pleaser 'Scream' heels I believe....you can get them with, or without metal heels.

  15. ^^ Welcome from me too.

I used to wear those! My first long-term boyfriend was the leader of our local village Hell's Angels chapter (I was a devilish little minx when I was a teenager!). I wore them with thigh length boots. They had steel tipped heels, and I would drag them on the gound as I rode on the back of his bike, showering sparks everywhere...he thought it was SOO cool!

Sadly though, no photos have survived that era, I think my Parents got rid of them!
