but the hight of the heel depends on the foot or doesn't it? I mean my highest heels are approx 12 cm and I have a 22,5 cm foot so... for me to be walking in everyday heels I tend to wear 9 cm and that feels fine. I can't wear 16 cm then I would have to take mini-steps if I even can walk in them at all... also worth noting the heel isn't the most important thing the way the shoe/boot looks is more important thing. The heel can be 16 cm but look terrible but that's a completely other discussion so I'll leave it there.
The question was - "what is the minumum height to be classed as a high heel?"
A 4.5" heel, is 4.5" - whether it is on a Size 4 foot - or a Size 7 foot.
The steepness of the arch is the thing that's affected by the length of the wearer's feet. A 4.5" heel on a Size 4 foot, will be STEEPER than a 4.5" heel on a Size 7 foot....but the heel heights are the same.

They look lovely.....can we see some more taken on an ordinary camera please?

hi ya, i dont my weight an issue as im 12 stone, it was balance really that i had to practice. once ive excercised my ankles and stood on tippy toes then flat floor then back on tippy toes a few times to loosen me up a bit i can then wear them no problem.
obviously it took me a while to get my balance but learnt to slightmy lean back and hey presto.
again thankyou for your kind comment s:tongue:
Well, well! I have them in Leopard....but they look quite stunning in black!

Any woman wearing those shoes could completely subdue me...
** PiB makes mental note.

The quality of zips - and the stitching - on a lot of modern day low and middle range boots, leaves a lot to be desired these days. I find many boots the same as I have thick legs and ankles.
The only thing to do is to exercise some patience......and light fingers...when trying boots on for the first few times. You can ease the zipper in slowly.

For me the minimum is 12 cm.
But most of the time I am wearing 5" or 6" height.

Agreed.....4.5" minimum to be classed as a 'high' heel.

I have :
22 pairs of Knee boots
18 pairs of mules
12 pairs of pumps
12 pairs of ankle boots
10 pairs of thigh high boots
15 pairs of sandals

I'm impressed! I see that you're a lover of mules and thighboots Sabrina. Me too...I LOVE both styles!!

'Office' generally run about 1/2 size small.
'Faith' are usually true to size.
'Dorothy Perkins' are slightly on the large size.
I have plenty of 'everyday' heels from all of them - although I no longer buy from 'Office' as their range of styles has seriously deteriorated in the last 3 years.

A lot of men look absolutely amazing in high heels. If they are worn in the right context - and by that I mean along with other complimentary clothes and accessories - then there is nothing wrong with them at all. Of course, there is the cross-dressing/TV aspect which we all know about - and again, plenty of guys can look totally convincing - and actually quite gorgeous.
It's only when high heels on a guy are worn without any consideration for their overall appearance and impression that I wince slightly....like....a pair of white 5" spike heeled boots with a business suit.
Brave...but wrong!!

If it's at all possible..(and I guess it is...) - they are even worse than 'Crocs'....!!!
-
Oh...My..Goodness! They are simply goooorgeous.....

I have a number of reasons for wearing high heels, the main ones being:
a) I love them.
I am short - so high heels emphasise and flatter my legs.
c) High heels make me feel more attractive, sexy, confident and dominant.
d) Men love girls in heels.
-
I adore white high heels. Almost 50% of my collection is white. White strappy heels or mules are exceedingly feminine - and white boots have a real 'CFM' aura about them.
-
My essential pool wear is a stretchy lycra 'thong-kini', 5" stiletto heeled white mules, D&G or Chanel sunglasses and a slim, gold ankle chain.

^^ I wouldn't class many of those people as true 'icons'.
To me an 'icon' is someone who is universally associated with their style the world over - and generations over. Someone who is recognised as representing high fashion, class, elegance, style and taste.
So - my choices for 'high heels icons' would include such women as Elizabeth Taylor, Sophia Loren, Eartha Kitt, Kim Novak, Tippi Hedren, Gina Lolobrigida, Ann Margret, Audrey Hepburn, Joan Crawford, Rita Hayworth, Cyd Charisse (the first woman to have her legs insured for $1 million), Barbara Stanwyck, Jayne Mansfield, Diana Dors, Joan Collins....
...and of course, Marilyn Monroe.

Ah thanks. I was hoping there were some european shops where you can buy sharp-heels... don't really like ordering directly from china... especially if they don't fit lol
There is one European outlet for 'Sharp-Heel' online:
.....you can also keep looking at EBay....EBay Germany (www.ebay.de) and UK (www.ebay.co.uk) are best for Fetish.

They look wonderful - and the leggings are excellent!

^^ You can find 'Sharp-Heel' here:

the manufacturers I currently remember are
Little Shoe Box
Hollywood Heels
The Highest Heel
Leatherworks
La Piazza
Fuss-Schuhe (sells hhs from an italian manufacturer)
6"-heels-forever
Kassiopeya
Pleaser
I will soon add a review about one of my hhs...
You might like to add a few more to your list.....

No it isn't, nor really. You will probably be the only one.
It was colder yesterday than mid-September last year....and I had thigh boots on. I live near one of the Country's most historic holiday hot spots on the South Coast!

I have always had a thing for Jennie Garth. She has that girl next door appeal going for her. But I don't think she has ever looked hotter or sexier than in this photo.
And those heels, OMG!
She's lovely - and those legs....fabulous!
-
Firstly, clean, dry feet. Then I either slip on a pair of nylon 'pop sox', or I use a little application of moisturising cream.
-
Use proper Shoe Stretchers. Just Google - 'high heeled shoe stretchers'.

^ I'm impressed. Sounds like you two have fun together!
Age you WISH you started wearing tall heels?

I started wearing high heels in my last year of Secondary (High) School...so I was just 15/16 years old. I really don't think I wanted to wear them any earlier to be honest.
These days, girls start as young as 11 or 12, which in my opinion is far too young.
