I too have a faux leather skirt.
-
I too love wearing both my leather pants and leather leggings. I even have a leather mini dress and leather skort that I wear in warmer weather. I love the look and feel of leather real or imitation. Happy Heeling, bluejay

It is so frustrating to have a quick glimpse at what may be a great pair of heels/boots, only to have the person take off in the other direction, or have the heels covered by long flared pants. I have been known to covertly follow someone to get a better look, but very carefully, never want to seem creepy or rude.

I'm trying to think if I've ever seen somebody around here wearing leather pants who wasn't riding a motorcycle. Skirts, yes, but I can't recall having seen somebody in pants outside of PPE. I'll be on the lookout. Speaking of looking out, I was at the grocery store yesterday (in heels, of course), and I spied a woman at some distance walking away from me. Soon I noticed heels sticking out of the hem of her pants. She had long hair, and was wearing a camel colored wool coat. At that moment, one of the clerks stepped out of the checkstand area and said, "I can help you over here, sir." I couldn't really say to hold on for a minute, I need to check out this woman's shoes first, could I? So I will never have any context for the heels. Ten years ago, I wouldn't have cared, but now I kind of want to know why someone besides me would wear heels to the grocery store.

The High Heeled Ruminations Of Melrose Plant

That's what everybody says, and I suppose as a musculo-skeletal kind of guy, he felt obligated to bring it up in an admittedly awkward way. I speculate that much like I've done to my wife, I've just worn him down over the years, and he doesn't want to waste his breath. I can see where it is super easy to get sucked into that kind of thinking. After all, when used as intended, they hurt, right? I have never met a single person, including myself, who didn't experience some kind of pain during a heeling experience at some point. It's just that my defining pain experience happened nearly 13 years ago, and I would like to think I learned from it. Hey, weightlifting hurts, and I'm supposed to be doing that as I get older to minimize muscle loss. -

It is very presumptuous - but then some people just seem to be like that. I can never understand this mindset. -
It's a look I'd like to try

Kind of rude actually...Did he ever give you a reason why they are "really bad for you"? -
Oh, really? I'm a bit surprised, because it's basically a classic stiletto pump style. Good combination! I think generally leather pants are best combined with heels.

Maybe he thinks you’re just incorrigible! - Yesterday

I love to wear my faux leather pants with my knee highs. Glad to know I'm in vogue. ☺️
-
The shoes must have been too tight, and worn for far too long!
-
The ones I saw didn’t look fake, but at any rate the look seems very much in vogue.
-
I suspect that most of the "leather" trousers are actually fake. Many of them certainly look like it.
-
A day in London yesterday, mainly in the Covent Garden, Seven Dials area and along the Strand - a lot of heels, mostly knee and OTK boots with chunky heels. A couple of stilettos and mercifully only one pair of kitten heels. A surprising number of leather trousers, which seem to be much in vogue.

Hi Folks So I'm doing my annual "Check the emails" and reading over what's been sent... And I'm seeing a fair amount of emails like this, complaining about how uploading images to HHPlace is a pain in the ass... The above example included three images... The total size of the three images combined was 24mb! 8.6mb, 8.4mb and 7.1mb file sizes... This is just one of many; some were unprintable, and considering the lack of anybody being willing to help around here, they were pretty much bang out of order... I'm well aware that uploading images here isn't as slick as the big tech giants with millions to spend on developers' salaries, but I've had to set the site up like this purely because of the abuse it got from people uploading huge images that were big enough to put on the side of a bus with file sizes to match... Resizing your own images takes seconds, and there are loads of free apps out there that let you do this. Heck you can even email an image to yourself, from your phone, and your phone will ask you "Full Size or Email Friendly version" and it will resize it for you. Photoshop Mobile is free! I never ask any of you for anything, and pay for everything here out of my own pocket, so I don't think it's unfair to ask, drop the abuse, and if something is pissing you off, then be an adult and tell me, but also come with a solution... I'm not a mind reader and none of us can know everything, all the time. If the current limits or restrictions need to be increased a bit, ask... I hope you all have an amazing Christmas with lots of shoe-boxes under your tree's... 🌲

Bloody heel, 5 weeks is crazy... They must be losing a ton of money...
-
Easy explanation: running shoes are porous and get wet inside when it is raining and in snowy situations.
-
There are certainly more heels here too in winter than in summer - at least in my experience. Again, boots
-
In my county town, which we call a county seat here in the U.S., it seems like there are more heels in the winter than in the summer, which seems bass ackward to me. As noted above, it's all the block heeled boots that account for a lot of it. I never see Gen Z wearing heels of any note casually, but as least in our local, quite a few will wear them for dressy occasions.

It's happened before when I've worn some pretty tame heels to appointments: "Ya know that those kinds of shoes are really bad for you, right?" We have never had a real conversation about it, so I decided to pull out all the stops and wear pointy stiletto pumps to my appointment, as the opportunity presented itself. Not a word, and he even has to pull on my ankles as part of the normal adjustment. I wonder if he has any other patients who wear any sort of substantial heels? -
The population of Exeter (Devon's county rown) is about half that of Plymouth, but both are fine cities in a fine county. (Only Bristol is bigger than Plymouth in the south west.)
-
Probably accurate as the further from London you go, the more heels you see. Exeter in Devonshire will be like Glasgow, where there’s enough women wearing heels on a day to day basis. Yes there’s lots of women in trainers and flats, however there’s a base of about 10% to 15%of women wearing them daily. I am seeing that more of the women in the Generation X women are going back to heels, especially the younger ones plus Millennials too. They may not be stilettos, chunky heels are more common. The thing is that there’s some of Gen Z that want to wear however feel pressured into wearing the uniform of running shoes or Chuck Taylor’s or Vans. They will eventually gravitate towards heels, Gen Z seemingly love the CL Miss Z heel, showing me that shoe manufacturers need to address the comfort issues in many of their products.
-
Your impression is probably accurate. I just passed through London today - Kings Cross Station and St Pancras - heaving with people and virtually nobody in heels.
-
I was in Exeter city centre the other day. (For left pondians, Exeter is the biggest city in Devon, a lovely county in the south west of England). There were quite a few women in heels, from 3" stilettos to various boots. The real stand out was a woman working in an art gallery. She was wearing burgundy OTK boots with a 3.5" (maybe 4") slim block heels. She would have made an impression in any gathering. I got the impression of more heel wearing than in central London, but that could easily be inaccurate.
