Samantha
Yamyam Posted August 5, 2002 Posted August 5, 2002 Sounds quite nice to me. I'd certainly look twice (at least). Obsessed is such a strong word. I prefer to think of myself as "differently enthusiastic"
RubberVicki Posted August 5, 2002 Posted August 5, 2002 I love wearing my 4in white Ravel courts with my dark navy diesel jeans, I think I look very funky and sassy. Vicki XX
ShockQueen Posted August 5, 2002 Posted August 5, 2002 I like doing the retro look with blue jeans and my 7" patriotic sandals I think it's a pretty spiffy look myself. SQ.....still busting societal molds with a smile...and a 50-ton sledge!
Dr. Shoe Posted August 5, 2002 Posted August 5, 2002 I have always liked white stilettos with faded jeans, a very sexy look especially if they're skin tight. Graduate footwear designer able to advise and assist on modification and shoe making projects.
Trolldeg Posted August 6, 2002 Posted August 6, 2002 I think it's a bit trailer trash. White shoes need white pants.
hhpumps Posted August 7, 2002 Posted August 7, 2002 sounds like the outfit is quite nice. white spikes and blue jeans. always did like my women a little on the trashy side if you consider wearing stiletto heels trashy. in todays fashion, it seems anything goes. if you like it, do it!! patent leather and classic high heel pumps area.
Laurieheels Posted August 7, 2002 Posted August 7, 2002 NO. I do not consider it trashy, stiletto heels are quite elegant and require great skill. So Anything goes, yes, now that I can agree on. Seeing as how I don't own any jeans, totally through my own fault, I am going to keep to wearing white heels with white pants.
ShockQueen Posted August 7, 2002 Posted August 7, 2002 Any chance of seeing a pic of you in white pants and white heels? I bet that would look simply awesome! SQ.....still busting societal molds with a smile...and a 50-ton sledge!
Laurieheels Posted August 7, 2002 Posted August 7, 2002 If tomorrow is nice I may pull together an outfit around that, but I am not sure yet. It might not be what I want for going out for dinner and drinks with friends. We're trying to make me forget a few things but I need to drive home.... this plan isn't my best. I doubt I'll have time for pictures but who knows.
DesertHeeler Posted August 7, 2002 Posted August 7, 2002 Laurie, I know jeans does not fit with your very feminine image, but you would look great in them. Ken
Dr. Shoe Posted August 7, 2002 Posted August 7, 2002 I think it's a bit trailer trash. White shoes need white pants. That's the whole idea! Graduate footwear designer able to advise and assist on modification and shoe making projects.
anthrax Posted August 9, 2002 Posted August 9, 2002 It depends... your style doesn't sound too bad to me.
Laurieheels Posted August 10, 2002 Posted August 10, 2002 Well I did it, but the details go into the diary. I think I looked good, and my mother, well, she said 3rd Ave to me. I'll explain afterwards...
anthrax Posted August 10, 2002 Posted August 10, 2002 I think I looked good, and my mother, well, she said 3rd Ave to me. I think I'm picking up Mom's drift, Laurie...
Samantha Posted August 10, 2002 Author Posted August 10, 2002 white stiletto pumps may look trashy but boots look class imho. Samantha
Laurieheels Posted August 11, 2002 Posted August 11, 2002 White pumps look very classy with the right outfit. Perfect for Easter and many of the warm spring days. But I think white shoes become more of an accessory, while other colours become a focal point or a larger compliment.
terayon Posted August 12, 2002 Posted August 12, 2002 why would anyone wanna look like trailer trash, trailer trash is the bottom level of society...
azraelle Posted August 12, 2002 Posted August 12, 2002 Once again, terayon... Having just completed a course in multicultural studies, I must conclude that there are at LEAST 2 levels below "trailer trash": Those who have the misfortune to live in the "projects" of Chicago, and other places, and the homeless. DesertHeeler Posted August 12, 2002 Posted August 12, 2002 I agree with Laurie, white stiletto pumps can look very classy with the right outfit. Ken
RubberVicki Posted August 25, 2002 Posted August 25, 2002 White high heel are classy and sexy and are coming back into main stream fashion.
Laurieheels Posted August 25, 2002 Posted August 25, 2002 Back into the mainstream? Really? I need to buy a white dress to go with mine, then! I think I need to mint my own money, I really could use more than I get from work...
Yamyam Posted August 26, 2002 Posted August 26, 2002 I've been hanging out with a friend who only wears black. So we decided that we could dress as opposites for a change. Now all I need is a pair of white heels and my outfit is done Obsessed is such a strong word. I prefer to think of myself as "differently enthusiastic"
azraelle Posted August 27, 2002 Posted August 27, 2002 They don't pay you enough Laurie--Perhaps you could finagle a raise based on heel height? I guess that'd never fly--after all, the highly paid (male) executives would then be "low men on the totem pole"! Or perhaps for the privelage of watching, as it were, the "show"? Bubba136 Posted August 27, 2002 Posted August 27, 2002 Huh! Being mentally comfortable in your own mind is the key to wearing heels in public.
Laurieheels Posted August 28, 2002 Posted August 28, 2002 If my heel height reflected what I was paid, I'd be rich. I think my heel height does reflect upon my ability, so my five inch average should say something about just how good I am at my job. I do try to strut around in my heels like I own the place. Maybe one day that will make a difference...
Highluc Posted August 28, 2002 Posted August 28, 2002 Do you like my latest kneehighs I bought last week in Rotterdam during the final sales at Tango? They are from Bronx in size 40 (very roomy) and were reduced from 113,42 to 34,03 Euro. Would you be able to resist buying those light cream colored 11cm blade heeled inside zippered classy soft leathjer boots? I couldn't. Be youself, enjoy any footwear you like and don't care about what others think about it, it's your life, not theirs. Greetings from Laurence
Bubba136 Posted August 28, 2002 Posted August 28, 2002 Great Boots! And, such a deal! It's a surprise they were still on the sales table for you to buy. Talk about luck Being mentally comfortable in your own mind is the key to wearing heels in public.
ritton Posted March 17, 2003 Posted March 17, 2003 I think women wearing faded levi straight cut style jeans with bare feet in sexy spiked heeled pumps or sandals looks so sexy. I just wish more women would wear such outfits. I think that look is sort of starting to return to womens fashion, at least I hope so. I think I looks very sexy/classy. so all you sexy women out there go ahead and give it a try,......PLEEEAASE.
