Interesting Situations

When I was a bit younger I used to think I could do anything in my heels. There was this one time I was running to catch up with my boyfriend at a shopping mall. I skipped down this flight of about three steps and landed heavily on my right stiletto which responded by snapping off where the heel joins the shoe. I ended up falling flat on my backside just below the bottom step. I wasn't hurt physically, but my pride was. My boyfriend came back and laughed at me which I DIDNT like. I saw the funny side eventually though. I had to take my other shoe off and walk barefoot to the car because you can't walk properly with a 4 inch heel on one foot and nothing on the other! ~Caz

Hey Caz did you replace the shoes, I had a simular experience, ended up writing off one shoe, makes the other useless, so into the bin they went. Being a fashion victim, next day off to the shoe shop and bought a replacement pair which were infact nicer. Inga

HEELS are POWER the HIGHER the BETTER.

Once my friend, Sam(antha) & I went up to the casinos to play Blackjack. On the wayback to the car Sam was walking peculiarly and kept complaining that her shoes fealt different. I laughed at her hard when I saw that she had 'em on the wrong feet!

I did that with a pair of stiletto boots once.

On another occassion I dressed in the dark one morning and went to college in cowboy boots. Around noon I looked down at my feet and saw that I had on an odd pair. One was brown and tan, the other was black.

Funny, that happened at a place where I used to work. And when it was pointed out to the individual he remarked that he had another pair just like them at home.

Being mentally comfortable in your own mind is the key to wearing heels in public.

I had to walk home in heels with my sister after a foot of snow fell. We were holding hands, and I was wearing 5" court shoes. Everytime the kerb dropped for a driveway or the pavement sloped I would slip over, normally dragging my sister down with me until she gave up holding my hand! My heel has also snapped when I was running down some stairs at work. Fortunately nobody saw me, and I spent the rest of the day barefoot. Good job I didn't have to meet any clients as I looked a right state!

I've had numerous embarassing moments most of which I wrote about in the embarassing moments thread. I also left the house in odd shoes once. They were almost identical and having already arrived in town and being in a hurry I was forced to carry on with my errands. Fortunately I think I was the only one who noticed. Glad to find I'm not alone in this.

when i was younger at age about 12 or 13...i was walking up the staircase. there was also heavy traffic..like soo many people were going up and down the stairs...well, the shoe i had on was slightly bigger. so i was going up the stairs a bit fast because i wanted to not hold anyone up behind me..everyone else had on like sneakers. so as i was going up..one shoe slipped off my foot and landed 3 steps down and i didnt know what to do...sooo i went up to the top of the staircases with one shoe on and one off...and i waited for everything to clear so i can get my shoe. I was sooo ticked off and nervous. But then there was this guy who came up and handed me the shoe with a smile and a wink. I was so embarassed.....i was just standing there with like one shoe on one off. but...it turned out alright.
