For anybody who hasn't yet seen a woman wearing these hideous things consider yourself lucky. Plastic foam clogs that come in a wide variety of neon colors.

It's one thing to see teenage girls wearing them, but when full grown women are wearing them what's the world coming to?

If you think the picture is ugly, seeing them on a woman is even worse. With just this one pair of shoe a woman can totally destroy her beauty.

There, I feel better.

EEEEEWWWW....those things are like an infestation. You're seeing variations on that theme popping up everywhere it seems. What happened to clogs that had a nice classy HEEL on them, people?

well, I would wear ANY other clogs than THOSE, trust me!! they would scare ANYTHING out of the garden I should think!!

 I think the one and only time I have ever posessed clogs was when I was about... 8. But at least I had the taste to own suede ones! Now, those or wellies? I seem to remember wellies being that last trend... Gladiator sandals also seem to be putting in an appearance.

They are UGLY and truly deserve every capital letter in the word UGLY. They are just wrong on so many levels

EEEWWWWW seems to have become the watchword, even on our board. Strange after the effort kneehighs and I expended to eradicate that as a legitimate response on the fashion boards! Just an observation, folks - no need to get excited.

After reading the other fashion boards, I know exactly where you're coming from dr1819. I saw it however as a legitimate response both there and here. It pretty clearly states what a person thinks wether we agree with it or not.

Yes, but what separates this from the rest of the ugly shoes is that women here are wearing them in large numbers. Not a day goes by without me having to see these awful things.

luckily, I seldom see those. What I do see, though, is much higher on the weird/wtf chart. I'll see a pair or group of girls - usually it's exactly two of them - both dressed for the weather (kinda warm, fairly breezy). one girl will have on flip-flops (usually they are good ones and not the cheapie rubber ones). the other will have on knee-length flat boots. can someone explain this?

These clog things are hideous! (OK, that wasn't "EEEEEWWWWW"). I have seen a few of them around, they leave me wondering "Why?"

Have a happy time!

Here on the left coast they are sold under the "Crocs" brand. Your puns and Fruedian comments are welcome. The most popular? color seems to be bright orange - where is Mario Batali when we need him?!!!!!!! Vern

You know what they say: Beauty is in the eye of the beholder but when common sense leaves out, ugly is all that's left. Still, the black ones ain't too bad. Maybe the gals wearing them could also walk with a guide dog so that folks won't think too badly of them.

Even worse, ALL the girls and women I've seen wearing them all appear to be wearing 3 sizes too big.

I think they only make 'em 3 sizes too big!

You know how young girls are. Right now they think that they are cute and different. I have seen a lot of them lately at the Science Center. Just wait until the Mother's start wearing what the daughters are wearing now. We can only hope that they fade away very quickly. Cheers--- Dawn HH

While I agree that those shoes are not the best looking shoes, the good thing is that even the most feminine of colors(pink and purple)come in both womens and mens sizes. I think that is a big step in the right direction!!

Nothing beats a great pair of pumps!

I have just discovered we are selling these at work. I work in a Teddy Bear shop. I guess someone thought they were so great that even teddies would want to wear them...

Living in the Internet World that I do, I had absolutely no idea how prevalent these were until my recent business trip, where I saw shop after shop throughout many malls, large, upscale, small, backwater, etc., all selling these same grossly sickening clogs! These are not clogs. They're "morphed jelly sandals" from the early 80s.

Now it would get really "ewwww" if those clogs started showing up in those CLEAR colours that the jellies did back in the day.

*goes to find a bag quick*
