(Are you going to wear them to work?)

At my day job, no, except maybe halloween (anything goes). I will probably try them out at the theatre Tuesday night.

A most impressive picture there, Shafted. Most impressive indeed! That look you created on the fly with jeans cuffed below the knee worked great in my opinion. I liked that a lot and it made for an appealing appearance. Great job, my friend! Great job! ;)

In fact, Shafted, upon further review, that look you displayed was quite bold, something I haven't seen in a long time. I like it a lot! And, it was a very clever and unique way of displaying the embroidery on those boots which, in my opinion, would've been a crying shame to hide. Two thumbs way up on your special look, my friend! Why, I wouldn't be a bit surprised if some of the fellows here decide to follow in your footsteps! Hell, I might try that myself with the right pair of boots! It's so cool!!! ;)

Thanks, Jeff! The way I look at it, if I'm gonna buy and wear these boots the world is damn well gonna see them.

It's hard to say, but I suspect if you wear them in the "right" place, you might even attract a nice looking female that like the way you look in boots. ;)

My thoughts exactly, Bubba.

To quote legendary squared circle thespian Ric Flair, you were "stylin' and profilin'" in that outfit you wore, Shafted. From top to bottom, evverything worked to perfection and you looked really sharp, so it would be a shock that a woman would find you desirable.

Only one way to settle this issue, Shafted, is to wear your boots everywhere and see that comes through the sifter. ;)

Shafted:-) What a bold statement you made by rolling up your jean legs. That is a very nice way of showing off the design on your boot shafts. I have seen a few girls wearing their boots and jeans that way at the Malls lately. If that trend continues, then we men may have to adopt that look for ourselves. I wonder just how that will go over with the men wearing heels. Some of us may not be that brave just yet. More power to you, my friend. Cheers--- Dawn HH

Thanks, Dawn. I really can't remember where I saw it here. Someone on the board made mention of cuffing the pantlegs, and I picked right up on it as a quickie solution to showing off my new boots. BTW: I'll be sporting those boots tonight at the theatre with pantlegs cuffed to see how people respond.

Dawn, If it was you I thank you. It worked very well. kneehighs, Be on the lookout for a PM from me with some details. Well, last night at the theatre went well in the Dragon boots. Lots of looks, but only one comment from a guy I used to work with. I was working in the concession that night so they were pretty obvious. When I started serving him we had a short volley as follows: Him: Bill, how can you walk in those things. Me: Easy, they're boots. Him: I kinda like em, with that wild pattern on them. Me: Thanks, would you like to try them on or what? Him: I don't think so. We both got a good laugh out of it.

Sounds like you're gathering momentum, running up to speed and people are accepting you in boots without a second though. Congratulations, keep it up. Can I assume, then, that not one patron registered a complaint to your manager about your theater being a "family" place? ;)

Not to my knowledge, Bubba, in fact I think most of the patrons are somewhat entertained by my choice of footwear.

It's wonderful that the patrons, management and workmates all accept you as you are. Things can only get better from here. Go for it. ;)

Shafted:-) It certainly sounds like you are on a roll wearing your jeans cuffed and showing off the design stitched into your boot shafts. It seems that everyone is accepting your bootwearing willingly. That's great. Cudos, my friend. More power to you. You sure are doing your part to spread our cause. Keep doing what you are doing and much success to you. Cheers--- Dawn HH

Well, I had to work today at my day job (end of quarter deadlines). It's Saturday so no vendors or distributers would be around, so I decided this would be a good time to try out my Two Lips boots to work at my day job. I'm so glad I did. I made a point not to intentionally draw attention to the fact I was wearing 3.5" stiletto boots. But people did pick up on it. I got many comments, but no negative ones. I even passed a great test of heel wearing skill by effortlessly navigating a metal grate stairway in both directions. Many of my coworkers know I wear them, but when they actually saw me function in them effortlessly they were amazed. Can't wait for those end of quarter weekends now.

Congratulations, Shafted!!!!!! : ;) Well, that was a huge hurdle to cross. I bet you are glad you went ahead and crossed it and, like JeffB, I also bet you are wondering why it took you so long to do it?

Shafted:-) Congrats for being brave enough to wear your 3.5" stiletto heeled boots on your regular job and congrats again on the favorable comments you received. Your now getting closer to doing what JeffB does at the office. Cudos, my friend! Keep us posted on your progress at work. Cheers--- Dawn HH

Thanks Dawn, But I'll probably keep my heeling at my day job limited to weekends as there is no danger of me being expose to distributers or vendors. I understand the need for a company to keep a certain image, and I would be representing the company and not myself. Bubba, It really wasn't as big a hurdle as one might think. Remember these people I work with were well aware some time ago that I love high heels and wear them regularly.

Really encouraging to read stories like yours, Shafted. It helps all of us when coworkers like you have see you function without difficulty wearing heels, further breaking down stigmas. Thanks for your continued courage and posting for us to enjoy. Keep it up!!

Glad you enjoy my little adventures in heels, heelme. I must say that I always get warm pleasant feelings when someone answers back how much my postings have encouraged them to take their heeling public. I never realized when I started this thread how much I would have an impact on others. I guess I have to continue to post my further adventures as they happen. Kind of an obligation for the cause. It will be a joy to continue posting here as long as others continue to find it useful for gathering their own courage.

Shafted:-) Whether you realize it or not, you are in an enviable position along with Thighbootguy, JeffB, and a few others. I wish that I could be there beside you guys, but it will never happen. Cheers--- Dawn HH

Dawn, I think that the important thing about my enviable position is that I made it happen, by choice. It was no accident and therefor it is only up to the individual to make it happen. Well I made it happen and I have no regrets. If I had it to do over again I would have started much sooner.
