Chris, I think those look great!! I wish I had a foot size for which a shoe/boot could be found in a normal store with a good selection. Congrats on the trying out in the store. This sounds like a good place for purchasing boots/shoes

Thanks Jim, I love them! It's so good to have a pair of knee high boots that fit properly. Usually I either struggle to zip them up or can't get into them at all! Unfortunately Evans is a clothes store, so they don't have a large selection of shoes and they very rarely have anything higher than three inches. They're good quality though. It's a great place to try shoes on. It's a store for larger ladies, so all their shoes are wide fitting. They also go up to size 10uk, and the boots are cut for a fuller calf. I've posted a full account of my first ever trying on in the "buying shoes in shoes stores" thread, but in brief the service there was excellent. According to the assistant that helped me, they're quite used to guys buying for themselves. She couldn't have been more helpful, and I'll definitely be going back there in January for the sales! Hi Chris,

Aren't they very similar to yours? I'm wearing them since days on the street. In spite of my EU size 42 (~US11) they are fittting astonishing well. My normal size is female US 13. My first fitting purchase in a normal foot shop :-?

cheers

Hi Micha, I love your new ones! Are they leather? They do look very similar to mine, but I am jealous of the fact that they appear to zip up the back. For some reason I think back zipped boots are very sexy. My normal size is EU42 / UK8 / US11, so I have quite small feet for a guy. Unfortunately I also have muscular calves which makes it difficult to find boots that will zip up. :-? Chris

Chris100575:-) That's a great pair of boots with a different design that you purchased. They seem to fit you well and look well with the panty-hose you are wearing, also. Micha:-) I also like your pair of boots too, and they do resemble Chris's a bit. Cheers--- Dawn HH

Chris, Once again they look great and a 3" heel will be quite comfortable for long term wearing. I have a pair with a 3" heel and after having them one for a couple of hours I almost do even realize I am wearing heels. This isn't so with my 5", feet get tired quickly. Will you be wearing these out and about and how did your wife like them? Jim PS, Good luck with the day job..

Chris100575:-) What Jimnj3 says is true. After wearing a 3" heel for a while, you don't even feel that you have any heels on at all. You should be able to street-heel in those new boots without any problems. Enjoy! What did the wife say about them? How is your new day job coming along? Cheers--- Dawn HH

They do fit well. I thought that Evans boots might be too wide, but these are fine. They're about 1/2" wider than my leg, which feels strange as I'm used to knee high boots being a tight fit, but very comfortable. The 3" heel is the lowest I have, and you're right that after a while I don't really feel them. After wearing them for a couple of hours on Saturday the heels felt very low so I changed into a pair of 4.5" stilettos for a while and was amused to find that I could barely walk in them for the first few minutes! My wife hasn't seen this pair. She didn't much like the ones I bought originally, not that she minded me having them, just that she wouldn't have worn them herself. I think this pair is nicer. I'm very unlikely to be street heeling in them, having tried stilettos in public before I feel too obvious in them. The closest I got was putting them on in the carpark and driving home in them. I just managed to zip them up over my jeans, which was a new experience for me! I'm not ruling it out, but for now I'm happy to just enjoy them at home. They will still be getting metal heel tips though. The day job is coming along nicely thanks, I'm just grabbing some quick heel-time before I set off this morning. Chris

Wow, Micha! Those are very nice looking boots! Very nice indeed! I wouldn't mind having a pair of those myself! Awfully damn sexy!

To Chris: I agree with the others that three inchers are easy to walk in and you'll adapt easily in a short period of time. However, don't be surprised if, after awhile, you might find three inchers boring and seek a higher height! You have been warned! :-?

Jeff: By a whole new lifestyle I meant having to adapt to working office hours after doing shifts for seven years. Most of my heels are either 4" or 4.5", and the dinky little 3" ones on my new boots do feel very low by comparison. I still love them though! I'm aware of the danger of trying to find ever higher heels, which is why I've set myself an upper limit of 4.5" except for the 5.25" courts in my avatar, which I rarely wear. I wear 4" most often, so my 4.5"s feel very high but I can still walk in them properly. My 5.25"s are reserved for those times when I fancy wearing a pair that are too high for me! Chris

Early Christmas pressie for me! Having been coveting a particular pair of boots for the best part of a year, I finally caved in and treated myself!

They're Italian leather, leather lined, with four inch vane heels, and a slightly snubbed pointed toe. They fit my legs beautifully, but are slightly too tight across the top of my foot. Being leather they will wear in though, so (and I'm really broken up about this!) I'm just going to have to keep them on all day!

I'm not sure how long I've wanted a pair of classic black leather high heeled knee boots, but now that I have a pair hopefully I can stop buying ones that don't fit in the hopes of being able to squeeze into them.

I've attached some pics, including one showing the lining as I'm sure most of us appreciate such finer points. :)

Hi Dawn, I am definitely enjoying them! I wore them all day yesterday, and as my wife went out in the evening, all evening too! They're from Duo, a specialist company. Their boots are available in ten different calf fittings in 2cm increments, so when you order you give them your shoe size and calf measurement. The photos really don't do them justice, they are beautifully made, and the way they fit is to die for. Although my calves are larger than most knee boots are designed to fit, my ankles aren't, so it's about the top six inches of the boot's shaft where I need more room. Most of the pairs in Evans are cut for wider legs in general, not just larger calves, so when I tried them on they were fine around the calf, but too loose lower down. On the negative side, this is the only pair they do with a 4" heel, most of the others are 3", but there are at least two other pairs I like. Not that I can afford to shop there too often... Chris

Thanks very much Wolfgang, it means a lot to me especially from one of our female members. I can't see the pics either Fog, I've not moved them myself I can only assume that Imagehost is having problems. I can't find the originals, so I'll do a couple more a bit later on. Chris
