The obvious one for me is Rocky Horror Picture show .. its the only time I got to wear heels in public. Had a good laugh and enjoyed myself but think that workmates may still be traumatised!! Only slightly disconcerting part of the evening was when the lead singer from the band kept asking if he could slap my arse :) .. Otherwise good fun. PS: Did you ever post pics of the last party?

Gingers Rogers did everything Fred Astair did .. but backwards and in heels

luketheduke8---- Do what I do as well as many many girls and that's buy a pair of high heels shoes, be they pumps, platform sandals, or boots, that you fall in love with and match the outfit to the shoes. It is great fun and I think much easier as well. A pencil skirt would go well with pumps as would a minidress. A form-fitting longer dress should work well with most high heel sandals. To really get noticed you could wear a short skirt and thigh high boots and have the time of your life!! HappyinHeels

Yes, which came first the dress or the shoes? As my wife taught my girls.....it really doesn't matter because "Beautiful shoes need matching dresses and beautiful dresses need matching shoes." :)

Being mentally comfortable in your own mind is the key to wearing heels in public.

Bubba, I think you could say this about men who wear high heels with their men's clothing. When I go out in high heels, I don't just throw somrthing on. I match my outfits the night before with my high heels, and now I keep this same philosophy in mind when I am shopping for high heels. I made that mistake a couple of times in the past and ended up with a pair of high heels I ended up getting rid of.

Seeing as how I'm nearly always dressed as a woman anyway I went to my last fancy dress party for Halloween 2009 as a [male] pirate though most of the stuff I wore was girlie anyway. This is the last time I socialised in male clothes!
