Bubba136 Posted March 13, 2010 Posted March 13, 2010 Times on line article about a former porn star that is seeking election to Parliament and saying that her "career" won't worry her colleagues. Interesting and perhaps it's time someone with "business" experience was elected....... Anna Arrowsmith Being mentally comfortable in your own mind is the key to wearing heels in public.
Dr. Shoe Posted March 13, 2010 Posted March 13, 2010 Who cares what she used to do...? Graduate footwear designer able to advise and assist on modification and shoe making projects.
blender Posted March 13, 2010 Posted March 13, 2010 reminds me of the story's the papers once printed about Mussolini's granddaughter there was all sorts of claims about her being a porn star but in truth she only done playboy.
Guest Posted March 13, 2010 Posted March 13, 2010 She reads more trustworthy than many of The House currently. Anyone want a duck house? (local joke) Al
Bubba136 Posted March 14, 2010 Author Posted March 14, 2010 Who cares what she used to do...? perhaps she can still do it and serve in the government, anyway? Being mentally comfortable in your own mind is the key to wearing heels in public.
Dawn HH Posted March 14, 2010 Posted March 14, 2010 The people may not go for that and may not vote her in. Cheers--- Dawn HH High Heeled Boots Forever!
sendra45 Posted March 14, 2010 Posted March 14, 2010 Somebody being honest about their past in politics makes a refreshing change where ever you are in the world. The angels have the phonebox.
Gary Posted March 14, 2010 Posted March 14, 2010 I read the article about Anna Arrowsmith on the Times Online website. It seems she produces the porn movies (as well as having written books on the subject), but has not starred in any herself. I look at it this way: Our present state of sad economic affairs in the US in presided upon by "leaders" in the federal government who are for the most part lawyers (82%) by degree and whose vote it seems can be bought for the right price. If y'all don't give Anna a chance in the UK, I'd be willing to give her a shot in the US Congress. I'm sure she would shake up the "good old boy" network!
Spikey Dan Posted March 14, 2010 Posted March 14, 2010 As long that she speak out and speak against unelected Global tyrants like Gordon Brown and Herman Van Rompuy and have the courage to stand up and speak against them like Nigel Farage, I say more power for her. If she sides with these tyrants or flip-flops with their policies, then get rid of her.
roniheels Posted March 14, 2010 Posted March 14, 2010 Somebody being honest about their past in politics makes a refreshing change where ever you are in the world. I agree. Honesty and politics seemed like an oxymoron. I hope she does well.
Dawn HH Posted March 15, 2010 Posted March 15, 2010 She just might be the "new Broom" that the people would be looking for. I too hope that she does well. Cheers--- Dawn HH High Heeled Boots Forever!
Eggnog Posted March 16, 2010 Posted March 16, 2010 If anything, it may make her more fit for the job. She knows what it's like to face difficulties, opposition, and people making assumptions about her. Those things run rampant in politics and the adult video industry. She should be great for a government job. Of course, I am a yank and my knowledge on European politics is limited. Just my opinion though.
tightsnheels Posted March 16, 2010 Posted March 16, 2010 I agree that she comes across honestly but she is a writer of fiction (as am I) and as such could have a very convincing tone if it suits her. On top of that think about the porn industry yes it is highly persecuted but not too many of the "situations" in the films are anywhere near real, so could she have the ability to "stage" honesty? Questions I for one do not have the answer to however, she is being clean about her career which is much more than I can say about most politicians and her work would be easy enough to verify. I would say she is at least worth a chance. "Look for the woman in the dress, if there is no dress there is no woman."-Coco Channel
kikepa Posted March 17, 2010 Posted March 17, 2010 Good for her! If she's cleaned up her act, perhaps she'll clean up government! Lol... Those who really care about us don't make a fuss about what we wear. Those who make a fuss about what we wear really don't care about us.
Cheap Heels Posted March 17, 2010 Posted March 17, 2010 I don't see her having much of a hope really. Despite the "cleaning up her act" and "honesty", I can't see the voter going for somebody who won't be seen as a role model purely based upon her background.

That is correct - shes the brains and money behind it, not the face in front of the camera. If you think abut it, shes ideally suited for a life in politics - these muppets we call politicians are only there to serve the paymasters who sponsor their campaigns! Good luck to her - so far, she has been more honest about her background than the rest of the House put together - that includes the duck house Gingers Rogers did everything Fred Astair did .. but backwards and in heels
