Blacksheep Posted May 12, 2010 Posted May 12, 2010 sorry double poseted and cant delete this one Blacksheep
Blacksheep Posted May 12, 2010 Posted May 12, 2010 I just bought off the shelf size 9 NZ heels with 4 1/2" elevation and 5 3/4 stiletto heel which is about 1/4" square heel based on a 1" platform. peeptoe courts, cost NZ40.00. Size 9nz is equal to size 10 us. as a womens fit, slightly tight across the toes mainly to my small toe, but they will soon fit like a glove. they work my ankle well which feels really good. as for buying, in nz some shops carry us sizes while some have nz sizes. knowing what NZ or us size i needed, I cut a strip of paper to fit neatly inside my shoes I wear, then also mark on it the desired heel hight etc. my excuse was to buy for my wife as a surprise, but i need to make sure they fitted. when I went to check out, the girl on the counter opened the box to check that both shoes were the same size. My responce was 'my wife woud kill me if i bought her two shoes of different sizes'. I didnt feel as ifanyone was being nosey nor have any over helpful asistant getting in the way. Blacksheep
Bubba136 Posted May 12, 2010 Posted May 12, 2010 Wow Blacksheep, it is too bad that you had to resort to hinting that the shoes were for your wife rather than just trying them on to see if they fit you properly. Perhaps, one of these days the stigma of a male in high heels will disappear and we all will be able to freely buy heels without feeling that we're doing something shameful. Being mentally comfortable in your own mind is the key to wearing heels in public.
Cl0setheels Posted May 12, 2010 Posted May 12, 2010 EU 41, UK 7, US 10 in a very rare occasion EU40 or EU42
groundplant Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 US 11.5 6'2" Hard to find without paying a fortune.....
Nienna Posted June 18, 2010 Posted June 18, 2010 EUR 33,5 so it's VERY hard to find stilettos which I prefer the childrens department haven't much to offer if you like high heels like 12 cm...
Dawn HH Posted June 19, 2010 Posted June 19, 2010 Nienna:-) I can see with such a small last that you would be hard pressed to find 12cm heels. You are right---I don't think that children wear them either. A 12cm heel must keep you on your toes a lot. I hope that you do find just what you are looking for. Cheers--- Dawn HH High Heeled Boots Forever!
Guest Posted June 19, 2010 Posted June 19, 2010 mine is mens 7 & half/womens 9, please consider me lucky!!
cochise Posted June 24, 2010 Posted June 24, 2010 Unfortunately I have odd sized feet ! My left is an 8(uk) my right is a 9. So I buy either size depending on fit generousity. I buy a lot of my shoes from Bratanto where they go up to a size 11 (uk). I go there so often the staff know me !

Cheers--- Dawn HH I've found some sites selling small sized shoes but it's hard to find... I don't think I ever will find any shoes beyond 12 cm high but I'm on my toes in those anyway better that than shopping in the childrens department.
Tierney Posted September 17, 2010 Posted September 17, 2010 Maine, i wear a size 13 men's and it is very hard to find my size, tierney
Chris45CB Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 About 5'10" tall, US Men's size 9.5 to sometimes 10, US Women's 11 to 12. 12's just about always fit fine, 11's can be anywhere from fine, to fine without any sox, to too narrow across the toe and too low up the instep.
Guest Posted September 18, 2010 Posted September 18, 2010 Womens size 9 (mens 7) never a problem about getting the right fit!
tomloveheels Posted February 3, 2011 Posted February 3, 2011 US size 9 mens 11w womens. I've found lots of pretty womens shoes but most aren't wide enough
ChipsHH Posted February 3, 2011 Posted February 3, 2011 I'm mainly a size 12 in women's, and I can take size 10-12, for the most part. Formally "HHDude"
Eggnog Posted February 3, 2011 Posted February 3, 2011 US 8 1/2 extra wide. I need to go to special shops to find them normally. makes shopping a pain in the arse.

legs777777 Posted February 9, 2011 Posted February 9, 2011 Hi I can fit a UK size 8, think thats a 42, so I usualy wont have a problem buying, just need to overcome the red face.
muddypaws Posted February 10, 2011 Author Posted February 10, 2011 Hello Legs77777 The red face is in your head not on the skin. Just get in there and do it. Make sure they fit as you want, not saying yes to get them and out. Muddypaws
