  1. Hi Tall Swede, My nails are natural and on my left hand all fingers extend between 10 mm at the thumb to 6 mm at the pink. On my right hand only the thumb and the pink extends, the other ones don't grow due to manual work (like typing on the pc) or keep braking off. I keep the tips nicely filed in an oval shape but use no nail polish or varnish. I like playing with my nails and slowly get used to them. They still hamper some actions once in a while, for instance manipulating the tiny buttons on the nokia cell phone is quite challenging and produces lots of false inputs.

  2. Hi Squirrelheels, thanks for showing us the pictures. It might help some of the shy ones on this board see that heels can be well hidden and almost invisible under adequate pants. I like your choice, ideal androgyn models that are suitable for any activity yet with a serious heel for the nice sensation. Now I understand why you can pull it off goining to school in heels like that, piece of cake with such a combination. You are lucky to have found a girlfriend with the same shoe size that lets you borrow her mary janes. These are nice for warmer weather and I also always found it very special shopping around with a friend knowing I was wearing her shoes. Keep going SH, you're on a good track there.

  3. Actually a 2-inch stiletto heel is quite a challenge for a novice and often more difficult to hanle as a 4-inch one. On the higher heel, more pressure is automatically applied over the large base of the ball of the foot which helps lateral stability. A low stiletto favours you to have the maximum pressure on the highly unstable narrow heel, thus forcing you to exercise much more lateral control over your ankles. Once that is mastered and reactions to unwanted sideways excursions becomes natural you will be able to wear higher heels of any type under full control. The high block heel "seems easy and stable" but unless your ankles react swiftly and controlled at the least feel of sideway tilt, you risk twisting an ankle badly because once out of control, the imposed angles and strains on the ligaments are much greater. Good luck

  4. President George W Bush is visiting an elementary school and he visits one of the classes. They are in the middle of a discussion related to words and their meanings. The teacher asks the President if he would like to lead the class in the discussion of the word, "tragedy." So the illustrious leader asks the class for an example of a "tragedy." One little boy stands up and offers, "If my best friend, who lives next door, is playing in the street and a car comes along and runs him over, that would be a tragedy." "No," says Bush, "that would be an ACCIDENT." A little girl raises her hand: "If a school bus carrying 50 children drove off a cliff, killing everyone involved, that would be a tragedy." "I'm afraid not," explains Mr. President. "That's what we would call a GREAT LOSS." The room goes silent. No other children volunteer. President Bush searches the room. "Isn't there someone here who can give me an example of a tragedy?" Finally, way in the back of the room, a small boy raises his hand. In a quiet voice he says, "If Air Force One, carrying Mr. & Mrs. Bush, were struck by a missile and blown up to smithereens, by a terrorist like Osama bin Laden, that would be a tragedy." "Fantastic," exclaims Bush, "that's right. And can you tell me WHY that would be a TRAGEDY?" "Well," says the boy, "because it wouldn't be an accident, and it certainly wouldn't be a great loss."

  5. Hi Guys, yesterday they showed on Belgian television images taken at the opening of an exhibition of Blahnik shoes in a London shoe and clothing museum. They showed quite a lot of shoes inside there, very stylish and some from celebrities. I have no more details, have no clue how long this remains open nor the exact location. Any of the Brits for more details?

  6. She should have climbed the hill backwards--then the heels digging in woulld have been a help instead of a hindrance! That's what I would have done.

Personally I think sideways would have been a much easier and more elegant solution.
  7. Hi HeelHolgi, welcome aboard this forum. I don't know if what you like is really categorized as fetish. You just prefer wearing normal heeled boots instead of boring masculine models. I call this fashion preference, not fetish. As you can read on my website I've been wearing heels most of my life and although quite unusual in looks, always had my shoes coordinated with the rest of my outfits and have been accepted that way by others. I spent quite some time in public in Germany as well and never had problems or open remarks. Enjoy your hobby and tsjuss from Highluc

  8. Hi SH, good progress there, it's nice to have somebody your age you can share your interests for shoes with, especially somebody from the opposite sex. If you ever have your own pair and happen to wear them when she wears hers I'll garantee you an imense kick. During my life I sometimes bougth identical heels as my partners and found wearing those together the most pleasurable moments. Whats also great is go shopping with her insisting she wears her heels while you just wear something unisex. Walk at a fast pace and long stretches so she will start complaining about not being able to follow in her heels. Be a gentlemen and offer to swap shoes for the remaining of the trip. Girls do it all the time, why would we not share those pleasures? Have fun, Luc
