  1. ... in the men's section!

    Hi!

For those of you who understand German, this could be quite amusing...

For those who can't here's the main idea:

A joker took a nice pair of women's ankle boots and put them into the men's shoe shelf. The boots were a size EU42 and had 4.5cm wedge heels. About 5 minutes later a man - he must have been in his late 50s or so, the joker wrote - came by and tried those boots on, obviously liked them and went to the checkout not knowing that it was actually women's shoes. It wasn't until the dialog with the cashier as the older man found out that he was about to buy women's shoes for himself. He was so upset that he left the shop instantly without buying anything.

What would have happened if the cashier didn't point that out to him? Quite interesting thought...

  2. Mickey believe me, the most men are not blind. ...

The difference is only, that well educated guys behave polite and tolerant. But you shouldn't believe that other guys aren't noticing your high heels.

Yes, Micha, you might be right. I did get a couple more looks but noone else (except a female coworker almost one year ago - I think I put that story here back then) got back to me on that yet. Even the ones who are otherwise very lippy didn't make a single comment yet. And, believe me, they almost comment on everything they come across. So, that leads to the conclusion, that in case really they noticed, they might not quite believe what they see. ;o)

  3. Hi! Not really sensational but I just wanted to share with you another reaction that I got from one of my colleagues yesterday. I was about to leave for the weekend when I met a colleague who had to do something in another part of the company's building and was heading my way. So we went a few 'floors, doors and stairs' together. When we parted he asked me: "I'm wondering how you could actually walk in those shoes?". So he must have noticed. I wore my 4.5" loafers which I think they are pretty comfy. I said: "Yes, I can walk in them. It doesn't feel wrong at all." and continued: "I think it's cool and why should only the girls have all the fun?". He then left with a big grin on his face. So I consider this quite positive... 4. Hi!

Hm, I think I should check with the forum more often although I'm very busy at the moment. Someone was faster and already did the job of translating. But I think I do have to jump in here.

Thank you, bootish! IMHO your translation is quite well. No need for an own translation

Basically, I'm fine with this as well but I want to make a proposal for what I think needs to be changed. The sentence:

'Fashion Freestyler versuchen nicht, ihr Geschlecht als solches zu verändern. Sie kopieren keine Verhaltensweisen des anderen Geschlechts, versuchen keine andersgeschlechtliche Identität wahrzunehmen oder gar als ein anderes Geschlecht aufzutreten. (Im Gegensatz dazu siehe Cross-Dressing.)'

    should read IMHO:

'Fashion Freestyler versuchen nicht, ihr Geschlecht als solches zu verändern. Sie kopieren keine Verhaltensweisen des anderen Geschlechts, versuchen keine andersgeschlechtliche Identität anzunehmen oder gar als ein anderes Geschlecht aufzutreten. (Im Gegensatz dazu siehe Cross-Dressing.)

    instead. Secondly:

'..., aber es breitet sich langsam auch auf die breite Masse aus.'

    could read:

'..., aber es finden sich dafür auch immer mehr Anhänger in der breiten Masse.'

    Agreed?

  5. Hi!

Just caught this on TV lately. -- I don't know if anyone knows about the movie 'Velvet Goldmine'. It is a fictious story about a glamrockstar but could have easily happened that way in the seventies. To show you what is featured there here are some stills:

It's not actually my favorite movie and I do know that plats and chunky heels might not be the taste of everyone. But I just wanted to express that I was pleased to see that guys wore those shoes around 30 years ago. :o)

In case that interferes with copyrights, please tell me and I'll remove these images.

  6. Hi Jim!

...Western ranch has those up to 6" high...

Could you please provide the link? Thanks! Would be an interesting experience, the 6" version. -- I took some photos of Dresden tonite and wore my 3.25" cowboy, ahm, cowgirl boots while walking around... ;o)

  7. Hi! Comming back as a girl? Hm, sounds cool, thought of this as well already. But I bet when all the guys around here were girls or if they would come back to this world as a girl then high heels would definately be a men's thing and the girls were condemned to be limited to all that boring and crappy stuff the guys face right now... ;o) CU! -Mike

  8. I got similar boots like BootBoy09:

This is the picture as it appeared on eBay in the auction I won. I've worn the boots to work already and - according to my reflections in the glass-doors - they are / were (quite) visible when walking. Folks must have noticed but didn't say a word.

Currently these are my shoes I wear on a daily base:

  9. @JeffB: The thing why I mentioned that these would/could look odd is because I once ordered black patent thigh high boots with a 'base' that was similar to what the 'beige' boots look like. So I sent them back because they somehow didn't match what I expected them to look. I would have kept them if the heels were higher or the foot-box would have looked a bit more sleek. I don't wanna say that you mustn't like that particular style. I think they're pretty cool and I would be very fond of them if only my feet were 2 or 3 sizes smaller... :o( CU! -Mike

  10. Hi!

Great styles that are shown in this thread! Here's my two cents on the topic.

Just checked again briefly w/ FUSS and found that these

    Posted Image

are still there. I got myself a pair a while ago already and still love them... :o))) Furthermore I'm longing for these:

    And these

look quite cool as well but unfortunately don't have good optics in my size with only 10cm (4") heels. It's funny, but then they just appear to be 'out of proportion' (IMHO).

PS: I changed the image location in this post since it appears that linking the images steals Fuss' bandwidth. I don't want to be held accountable for this so I mirrored the images and loaded them up my account.

PPS: Hallo Fa. Fuss!

  11. Okay, lemme add: Addiction? Sure. I've got 182 pairs and the collection keeps growing. At least this '182'-number was counted around Easter last year. Must be definately more by now... Can't help, just love'em... CU! -Mike

  12. ... because I needed new jeans. ;o) Hi! Anyway, another minor but (from my perspective) great experience happened to me yesterday. -- I was looking for two new pairs of trousers, one suitable for sneakers and one that would go well with my 4.5" chunky heel loafers. The saleslady asked how she could help and I gave her the data. Since she looked a bit like 'are you sure?' because of different leg-lengths, I showed her why that was so. I already wore my high heeled shoes when entering the store. She looked - and replied: "Nice shoes, I like them!". I thanked her for that compliment and tried the trousers. Once I'd found what I was looking for I went to the checkout to pay. The saleslady said, referring to my shoes: "I don't understand..." - and I instantly thought to myself 'Huh? Don't understand? A minute ago she seemed to agree...' - "... why people think that's odd!" she continued. Damn, what an occasion and I had nothing better in mind but to think negative. "Why shouldn't you do that?", she added, "We do it as well and wear trousers and 'heavy' jackets and ... and ... and... I think it's quite cool what you do. Too bad that it's not been done more often by the guys...". Boah! I didn't expect that at all! Never say never... What shall I say, I was damn happy and had big grin on my face the rest of the day. 13. Hi Heelfan / Peachy / all,

    one comment on the 'sections':

    ...

Mel is building-up three sections for Peachy Shoes:

    1. "Ordinary" ladies' fashion shoes (flat to 4.5") in gals' sizes only.

    2. Stilettos from 3" to 7" in gals' and guys' sizes (UK 3 to 13).

    3. Streetheels for Guys (chunky & semi-chunky heeled shoes & boots) in guys' sizes only.

    ...

Sometimes "'Ordinary' ladies' fashion shoes" are worth to be sold in guys' sizes as well. I think this should be part of the concept when layouting the '3rd' section.

I didn't quite get it if the 'webpage'-thing - that was discussed a few postings ago - was related to Peachy's shop. In case you haven't thought about such a project yet I would encourage you to start some sort of webshop as well - especially regarding the section 'Streetheels for Guys'. I could imagine a lot of shy guys who want to do their first heeled outings want to wear 'calm' shoes with more manly, meaning, chunky heels in order to play it safe. Would be nice to have them on display in the web shop as well.

And as someone said earlier: "... very many congratulations and good luck 'Peachy'.". That's what I want to 'assent' to! ;))

  14. Hi! I only explained a couple of minutes earlier to her that I'm 'high heeled' today / allday and that I would show her if there was a chance. We met again at the fitness studio's check-out desk (I didn't expect that but it must have taken her approximately as long as me to have a shower and to get changed) and I told her that I would come up with some 'evidence' in a second to prove what I'd told her in the class room a couple of minutes ago. Once we both were done checking out and left the studio I showed her. -- So, it wasn't like that I waited out in the dark behind a tree or something (bad, verrry bad idea). This happens only in trashy movies... ;o) So, yes, she didn't know that she was gonna meet me but she knew that had promised her evidence. I was in the process of checking out when she came back from the change room. CU! -Mike
