  1. Hi!

I got these recently! Somehow noisy but once you got used to you're fine with it. I don't know why I've hesitated so long, I should have started earlier with such. Until today I only went for more 'calm' shoes. But these really rock. Noone has commented yet. So, we'll see! ;o)

BTW, I wear them on a daily base to the office now. -- Cool: The seller called them Ladies' Cowboy(!!!)boots! ;o)))

Oh, they are a UK10 and have 4" heels - in case you're interested... ;o)

    CU!

  2. Yes, it does work for me as well now... All I can say is: Amazing!!! But for me that would be too much to handle. Anyway, would be a real eyecatcher in one's shelf in case you got a pair of those but can't walk in them... ;o) CU! -Mike

  3. Hi! Yesterday evening in one show of the late programming there was a report on bdsm. The folks they pictured in this documentary were quite regular, perhaps just like you and me. One of the guys started his own little business operating a shop / store where one could buy, say, toys and stuff for this particular 'hobby'. ;o) This guy wore a pair of high heel platform boots - they had at least two times a close-up of that. Asked about his heeled shoes the man replied with (obvioulsy he wears this on a regular basis and outdoors as well): "I didn't actually get any response from people but just one from a girl, she said: 'So, you are an emancipated man, aren't you?'" - I think this was quite a nice comment he got! There's still some hope at least... CU! -Mike

  4. Alright! ;)) Yesterday I went to one of the stores of that retailer and actually found the 'featured' boots. Just gorgeous! And, of course, they were only available up to a size that compares to a US women 10, run small and so on... If they were a 12 or 13 with the heel height 'scaled up' appropriately then I would have had one more pair of shoes in my closet. ;o) So I can only hope the girl will make it for some money soon so that at least one of us can enjoy those shoes... ;o) CU! -Mike

  5. You're certainly right with your view of the world and I'd second almost all of your statements but it wasn't the intention to start such a discussion in this thread, so if this continues to go on like that this is probably going to be moved to the 'Misc' board section by the admins soon... ;o) What I wanted to point out is that I really felt sorry for the girl since I know this feeling myself. Besides shoes and such I do have two or three more hobbies which sometimes also requires some serious amount of money. In the past there were things I really wanted to have but couldn't bring up the 'funds' regardless how hard I tried to save some. Now that times have changed I'm in the situation that I can actually afford all those things. Of course, not all at once but now it's, you know, basically possible and hence no longer out of reach at all. And that's why I would like to share a bit of that. The other side of the story still is if I would really have gone for it if I was on the 'scene' in the shoe shop... CU! -Mike

  6. Hi! Don't know exactly where to put that so I'll add to the 'For Everybody' section... As I watched TV just the other day I came across a documentary during the usual commercial-break-zapping. There they pictured the life of someone, who was heavily busy saving money in all aspects of live, a group of students who also had to be careful spending money (for a dish washer) and a young 'family' who only had very little money available a month (probably the father left mom and the kids alone and mom being down on her luck - I missed that part...). Okay, what's the point? The thing that drew my attention was that the young family went shoe shopping in order to get shoes for the girls and the boy. One of the girls seemed to be very hooked on fashionable outfits and hence she opted for a pair of very nice white boots. They were calf boots, had pointy toes (not too pointy, but... - you know) and had approx. 4 inch stiletto heels. She could actually walk pretty well in them and the boots also matched the rest of her outfit. However, the major drawback was that they couldn't afford the shoes although they were only 29 €! If I would have been nearby I would have given the girl those 29 € because I do know what it means to crave this stuff and not being able to have or wear it for one reason or another. Poor girl! I really would have liked to help out since she didn't seem to want to have these shoes because they're in fashion right now but it looked like she wanted those high heels for the sake of the (high) heels itself. Oh well, that really made me thinking... CU! -Mike

  7. In some way you're right. I got myself a pair of Buffalo-like remakes from my local shoe discounter at a EU41 (roughly equals a US women 10) and they fit perfectly. But since today this was the only exception so far...( Anyway, I'm in the office and wear a pair of 5.25" heels platform boots. The have a pretty rigid sole and hence they were very noise on the way from the car to my office since they've put grit on the ground in order to take care about slippery pavement. Fortunately in the office the floors are carpeted. -- Housekeeping just stopped by my cube and one of them emptied my trash-bin. Once they were past my cubicle they started whispering and it sounded like '... shoes ...'. Her collegue suddenly started to giggle. Anyway, it didn't sound approving... Oh well, I didn't expect them to think in another way than I believe they would have just by looking at them. Don't get me wrong, I'm far away from being genius or such nor do I try to think I'm better than other people but these two housekeepers aren't just the brightest people on earth so you can't expect them to be more tolerant in order to see the whole picture. Seems what they just learnt won't fit in their own little world... CU! -Mike

  8. Hi!

Seven or eight years ago, when this style was really 'in,' (I hope it comes back - soon!) Payless Shoe Source offered some high (4.5 to 5 inch), chunky heel loafers, under their 'Lower East Side' brand, which have since become highly sought-after classics.

That's exactly what I'm talking about. Suddenly, on the verge of the new millenium these styles-to-die-for just vanished...

A site I would highly recommend you check out is www.electriqueboutique.com , ...

Yes, I know that link. Whenever I checked with them and I found something highly interesting - it came only in sizes up to a US ladies 10. D**n, scr***d again... I just f**king hate this US 10 being the limit. I wouldn't mind if I was a 'shy' 11 but with a US 12 this is at least one size too small and definitely not worth buying since you have to give'em away because you just can't use it...(

    Oh, well...

    CU!

    -Mike
