Great look, Ash. Terrific smile. You have the make-up on well.

Nice outfits, Bluejay. You really do have a flair for leggings. Looking good.

Wow, what a fun time! Sorry I missed it. Other things going on. Glad you made out well, Bluejay. Sorry you didn't have a winning ticket, but at least you got a t-shirt, a book, and a new pair of heels!

I've been shoe shopping with other guys and gals for years and it's a lot more fun when you have an interested and enthusiastic companion with whom to share the adventure. Congrats on coming out to an online but unmet friend and doing so! Steve

Those are great looking boots! You can go out heeling in them just about anyplace. Have fun!

Redandwhite,
Thanks for taking my post in the manner it was intended. It really gripes me when people post "Hey I got a great new pair of shoes/boots!" and then we're left hanging for details and photos.
I thought slapstick was the lowest form of wit. Or maybe puns.

Great advice, Shafted!

Going out alone in secluded areas after dark is dangerous. You could get accosted by thugs, and you can't outrun them. You could fall and twist or break an ankle. In either case, when the authorities find you, you will be greatly embarrassed. It's tempting to think of nighttime as safe, but don't go out where you could be a victim. If you want to wear heels in public, go to a busy place, like a mall, train station, or department store. People are so wrapped up in their own tasks, they really won't see you or laugh at you. Mature women who notice will compliment you; teenage girls in packs will giggle. Life's like that.

Please everybody,
If you post here,
DON'T tell us any details about the shoes or boots you got.
DON'T tell us the brand, style, heel height, color, size, seller, or what you paid for them.
DON'T post photos. Let us guess what they look like.
DON'T tell us how you like them, how they fit, or what you like about them.
And above all, keep us in suspense with as little information as possible!
Thanks for your cooperation!

I've never tried skateboarding (in sneakers, let alone heels). I like my arms and legs just the way they are, thanks.

"All indicated prices are exclusive of post and packing: We will add 55 Euros for shipping to USA and 40 Euros within Europe (France 15 Euros). We now ship Fedex to provide You with a faster and fully trackable service."
40$ for shipping on a pair of boots?
What I dont like about that site.. They dont list the shaft lengths of their boots. On taller boots, for ' over the knee ' I need a boot with a 23-24inch shaft ( without the heel ).
ILK,
Postage has skyrocketed in recent years. To ship a pair of boots in a box with total weight of 4 pounds to France would cost you $35 first class and $42 priority mail. So those prices are just about right.

That outfit really works! Good choices. I like the boots worn outside the pants like that. You show confidence that way. Nice presentation with the bag, too. Let us know if you got some compliments!

I agree with JeffB, TBG. Those slings look hot! Enjoy wearing them before the weather turns bad.
You've really moved into some alternative footwear in recent months. There's lots more in your closet besides boots! Good to see some variation.

While I applaud his bold independence from society's rules about what men should wear, he admits he is stuck in 1950s fashions, which I don't find attractive on him at all. I agree with Shafted. He really needs to find and wear clothes that suit his body type. I'd like to take him shopping someday!

I really like the Macy's shoes best, so I went browsing through their current offerings and could not come up with that shoe at all.
Good luck!

SF,
We were in that same Choo shoe store (say that fast three times!) in Vegas a few years ago, and my wife and I looked at $600 pumps and a few other shoes just for the experience of being able to say we did it. No way we'd buy them, either.

Nice boots, Man. Glad you like them and good to hear your wife is supportive. I'll have to explore Lane Bryant again. Some of my first women's shoes were from there - a pair of wooden sole clogs and a pair of plain black flats, both of which I still have. They were bought around 1979, so that's 35 years - not a bad investment!
Saudade, good looking booties. They look like they'd be fun to wear, too. Glad you like them. Enjoy them. Got snow in the Twin Cities yet? Be careful walking in snow with those heels!

Hey, SF, nice to see you posting again! That was a terrific story and it just goes to show that Payless has some really terrific sales people. I'm glad your story has a happy ending. I like those sandals a lot, too, but I was also put off by the bling of the shiny patent material and the ornamentation. However, they weren't that expensive, so maybe they'll come back again next spring, and maybe in different colors.
The Aerosoles "Platonic" sandals in my avatar are similar in the heel shape and T-strap, but have an ankle strap too. They had silver rivets holding the various piece of black leather together, and my wife commented that they were too shiny and drew attention to my shoes. I didn't agree but I didn't argue either. I simply applied some black enamel paint and that was that. You might consider doing that, too, if the shiny ornamentation draws more attention than you want.
Anyway, good post. Thanks for sharing. Don't wait so long till next time!

Hey, Jeff! I've been out of town for the past 10 days on vacation and just got back. I'm catching up on the missed threads, so please accept my belated congrats on your 200th outing (and then some!). Looking great! You're doing a great job in keeping Payless in business. Tell them I said you deserve a free pair or two. lol

Is it maybe a sign that the economy is improving? Is Nordstrom selling out more of their styles in their main stores instead of having to relegate the dregs to their Rack stores? Dunno...
They just opened a Nordstrom Rack in Columbus, but I haven't been there yet. When HappyinHeels visited me a month ago, it was still under construction.

...just because they are ' odd ' in so many ways!
Aren't we all? HA HA HA

The last time I was in DSW was with HappyinHeels in August when he visited me. I was asked by at least two sales associates, both women, if I needed any help finding things. I think it all depends on how much staff there is, how busy they are, and what their disposition is toward men who are looking around at women's shoes. I'm sure some are fine with the concept and others are probably repulsed by it. I don't know if they are on commission or not, but if not, they lack some of the motivation to be helpful. Like most organizations, the staff reflects the character of the store manager.
