  1. Hi Jimajeans - It always nice to have new members join, especially of the fairer sex but why not tell us just a little bit more about yourself? It was a very short intro! :-) Hope you have a good time here and we look forward to hearing more from you

  2. Its not just the UK - Norway, Sweden, Demark, Irleand all affected too. Bit of a bugger to those of us stuck outside trying to get home .. Going to take ages to get sorted .. planes and crews out of rotation all over the place. Worst thing about it, Im here .. my heels are at home! Already had a look at shoops here and they dont go above 41 EUR and I take a 44 so cant even go shoe shopping :-(

  3. MSinglewoman - welcome to the site. Sure that you'll find like minded people here and we look forward to hearing more from you.

Ironically, never heard of or been to Wakefield .. until yesterday when my client suggested I meet him there. Anyway, on my way out, stopped in at Brantano to see what they had in larger sizes - never been into one before and certainly haven't seen them mentioned much here.

Anyway, turns, out hey have a reasonable selection in larger sizes - especially 9's. It seemed to thin out quite a bit moving to 10's - OK selection in office type or smart casual wear but very little in party or going out styles compared to 9's. Can sometimes squeeze into 9's but they were really not comfortable like other brands - thinking back now sock may have had something to do with it .. . When oh when am I going to lose the embaressment and just take my time?? :)

Anyway, was going to go for these: but just my luck, they didnt have it in a 10! :silly:

Must admit, based on my first impression, I agree with Silvikrin - didnt seem like a place that a bloke could walk around in heels but the young lady who helped me said that she had two regulars come in, try on and buy + she reckoned that they had blokes trying on heels at least a couple times a month - any members from here?

  4. Bubba, you are just scratching the surface!! This country has not only lost its mind but is trying to drown itself in bureaucracy - we are not on way to becoming a nanny state ... we are already a nanny state! If officials spent less time worrying about what we do and spent more time concentrating on running the country efficiently, we would be in a far better state! Not that I feel strongly about it

  5. Love the red ones! Sounds like a great experience, thanks for sharing it with us. Gives those shy ones of us (yes, me too) just a little more inspiration to get out of the closet ourselves and be proud of our heels Looking forward to your next adventure

  6. "This Irishman went for a job on a building site and the foreman warned him that he'd have to answer some difficult questions.

    "'That's OK,' said the Irishman.

"'You're absolutely sure?' asked the foreman.

    "'Absolutely,' said the Irishman.

"'Right,' said the foreman. 'What's the difference between a joist and a girder. Think carefully.'

"'Well,' said the Irishman, 'Didn't Joyce write Ulysses and Goethe write Faust?'"

  7. I read the article about Anna Arrowsmith on the Times Online website. It seems she produces the porn movies (as well as having written books on the subject), but has not starred in any herself.

That is correct - shes the brains and money behind it, not the face in front of the camera. If you think abut it, shes ideally suited for a life in politics - these muppets we call politicians are only there to serve the paymasters who sponsor their campaigns!

Good luck to her - so far, she has been more honest about her background than the rest of the House put together - that includes the duck house

  8. My names Kate, from England, and a tall 6ft girl who loves her super thingh high boots.

WOW ! Thats tall for a lady .... you'll find a couple of threads about tall girls and heels. Bet I know which side you'll be on.

Welcome, look forward hearing from you more as you settle in

  9. Welcome from me too Coloradoheel - as Bubba says you are not alone. There's nothing wrong with a man wearing heels except society's ignorance. It only through preconditioning about what each sex or gender should respectively wear that these things become 'wrong' Look forward to hearing more from you

  10. Just thought that I'd share with the forum Was wondering about in London the other day and thought I'd try TK Maxx - of course I was looking for heels. Wasnt expecting much as they seldom go above a UK( and if they do it BORING with a capital B I got really excited when I saw these gold numbers in the sales section and even more excited when I read the UK11 label. Theyre from the Paris Hilton line and have a pinky type sole! Must admit they didnt look like an 11 but a 9 maybe a ten. At £15 a bargin that I snapped up. Got them back to my hotel and tried them on. Theyre actually marked a US 11.5 which I figure is closer to 9.5UK than 10 so they are a bit snug. But comfortable none the less. ONLY thing is they seem to mark so easily - heels have little dents in them and on the heel cup the gold has rubbed through. Still I love them Sorry about the pic quality - will see if I can improve

  11. Coincidentally, i had a meeting in town the other day with a lady from Aus. Never met her before but when she walked in, she was very tall - and was wearing 4' heels so she looked me in the eye. She looked great, very willowy elegant frame and long legs!! When I commented on her height, she said she was 6 foot. I added that she was brave wearing heels and she must attract a lot of commentary, she said that she got the occasional comment but nothing that worried her. She loved heels and if anyone had a problem with that she didnt give a damn. Loved the attitude - not pushy or heavy handed but very confident and strong - made her even sexier :-)

  12. Thats a start .. At least she approves and buys shoes for you. I would love that to happen!!

Would still be difficult for me to share storage with her though - little ones & their friends are constantly paying dress up with mommy's stuff and parading around the house for Mom and her friends. Wife wear a 7.5 and I wear a 10 - could be (and I know it should not be) a little embaressing explaining to her friends why there are size 10 heels about

  13. Well, dammit.

Was getting ready to go out yesterday. Similar attire - dark blue jeans, white shirt, leather jacket and Domina 2020's again. But it was not to be. I had got the car out the garage and was getting out to close the garage door when I stood on a small rock and twisted my ankle. Taking a step in heels means flexing my ankle quite a bit, and that hurt like a %$&@#. Back to basic walking boots for a few days.

Ouch !!! Hope you're up and abut soon. Thanks for sharing
