Just tell him you like comfortable warm coats.

I wear coats and jackets from all sides of a store. Sometimes I layer them, like a puffy vest over a sherpa -  a very warm combination.  How else can we reclaim some fashion?  In the 8 years I have worn this one version of a ski pull over I have only seen one woman with the same type. And it wasn't one of the colors I have.  I always get compliments on my Victoria's Secret sweater, warm and very soft and not feminine in anyway, Add a puffy vest and it's great for those chilly mornings.

I'm just like you Cali. I wear a lot of women's coats. They just look so much better than the drab men's coats.

  2. I'm with you guys that like to wear leggings. I wear them out and about all the time. I probably have over 60 pairs in total. I have regular weight for spring and fall, capri length for summer and heavy weight lined for winter wear. I have solid colors, prints and special colors and prints for holidays and special occasions. I'm very comfortable wearing leggings and I'm starting to see guys wearing leggings. Maybe not the flashy pairs that I wear out, but they are wearing them. I also have many pairs of jeggings too that I also wear out. I like to wear leggings with heels, boots and shoes. Flats too and sandals in the summer. The more us guys wear leggings out, the more other men will wear them. JMO

  3. Yes, Mirose I do wear flats to church when I'm not wearing heels. And yes there are a couple of other men that wear women's shoes and boots, at church.  I've never seen any, in real heels but they both wear skinny jeans tucked inside their flat heel, riding boots and do wear very brightly colored flats, like I do. I have lots of people observe me on Sundays. looking down at me to see what footwear I'm in. Since I belong to a large Catholic Church with over 3,000 families, we have 7 Masses between Saturday afternoon and Sundays. I'm an usher at the early Sunday morning Mass, at 7:30 AM and I'm on display, always. I'm dressed usually in a jacket and tie. I'm always complimented on my flashy appearance. I've had ladies compliment me and ask me to help them shop for their husbands wardrobe, to get some color on them. On Christmas Eve at the Midnight Mass I attended, I wore  black dress pants with a red silky shirt, matching red tie and pocket square with a black leather blazer and my  Funtasma, red patent, knee boots with 3" chunky heels. Of course the boots were under my dress pants but my heels were very visible and I did get compliments as usual , as I do most every Sunday.

I have worn heels, and gals flat to church many times.  Even gals sandals with painted toenails.  Other than a few compliments, no one has ever said a word.  Nice.....   sf

I'm the same as you SF.  I wear heels and flats to my church on Sundays. I wear boots too, but have never worn sandals showing off my colored pedi. I've seen other men wearing women's shoes and boots too.  I get compliments from both women and men, in church. The Lord God, doesn't care how your dressed when you visit, "His House".

  5. Great choices. I especially like the red patent pair. Very flashy. I do have many patent pairs of knee boots, in many colors that I wear out. Sometimes with leggings and other times with dress pants over the top of my boots. It all depends on what I presenting myself to show off. I'll be wearing my red knee boots now that Christmas is almost here.

I thought those places went out of business - - Haven't seen one in years !!

Those kiosks are still out there. I know that they are in my area, not as many, as in years past.

I would love to wear ankle chains, but it would probably be hard to find such items tailored to the wider widths of men’s ankles.

JeffB, go read my post above. Go to one of those kiosks in the mall that sell chain by the inch. They will be more than happy to size one up for you that will fit. I did several times.

I think a simple toe ring looks tasteful & cute. I thought about wearing one myself but I have the same issue I had with an anklet, most are just not big enough. I'm not sure how to even find the right size for me...

I bought a couple of toe rings, years ago from a vendor at our county fair. She tried on a few different sizes on me and I bought a couple. Not real expensive, in fact they were less than $10.00 each.  When I want to wear a toe ring they are there for me.

As far as anklets go. I bought them from a kiosk in the mall where they sell chain by the inch. Mine are completely sized for me and they are good strong chain. Some are lighter and some are big links, that look better on a man than a woman with a very skinny ankle. I have both gold, white gold and silver to match my other accessories that I wear, watch, bracelets and rings.

  9. Hi chesterx,

I like your animal print pumps. I have a similar pair with chunky heels from Aerosoles. I like the animal print look and the snake skin look too. I also notice that you like to wear an anklet  chain. I do that too in summer months when I wearing my pumps or sandals. I like to show off an anklet wearing capris or capri leggings. Glad you had a nice time getting your mani and you got some compliments, too.

  10. If you watch the Weather Channel, you will always see the women meteorologist's wearing heels. They always show full shots of them and they all wear nice heels. Sometimes in high heel knee boots. Since the show comes out of Atlanta, heels are wearable even this time of year.

With me, it's been basically boots with block heels or flat heels, because of all the ice and snow this past week.

  11. Too bad for Ray. I have always had great experiences at DSW. The sales clerks are always helpful to me with my shoe shopping. I have no problems with trying on heels or boots at DSW. I often get compliments on my look, when I'm wearing my  heels, sandals or boots. One time one of the salesclerks (who knew me) complimented me just like SF (above post), when she said, "you rock those sandals" Of course the sandals were from DSW and I  was sporting a nice red pedi.

One of the first places I check at DSW, is the clearance rack. I've bought many pairs of shoes and boots from that rack. It's always a great shopping experience for me, at DSW.

Several years ago, DSW had a national shoe lovers day. I got my pic taken with several staff members. I was wearing a pair of  heels and I sported a red tee saying DSW, National Shoe Lovers Day. That was a great experience and that pic went viral. I think that I still may have that tee.

  12. Nice look Cali. I also wear faux leather leggings tucked inside my boots. However with this weeks 12" snowfall here, I had to opt for my Uggs "Seldon" lined leather knee boots with 2" big block heels, to walk in the snow and ice. Maybe next week when it warms up, I can wear my heeled boots out safely again.

  13. I've been trying to find a pair of the Kurt Geiger snake print boots in size 11. I had no luck. I had to settle for a pair of Franko Sarto "Indigo" low calf boots with 3" chunky heels from Zappos. They are very comfy boots. I wore them on Sunday to church with black dress pants (men's) and a women's  snake print mock neck sweater. Got compliments from both ladies and even a couple of men too. Later that day I wore them with faux leather leggings tucked inside the boots, out to shop. Also got a couple of compliments while out.https://www.zappos.com/p/franco-sarto-indigo-roccia/product/9337505/color/59836

Had to put them away for awhile as we had 12" of snow on Monday and Tuesday. Out comes my Ugg's "Seldon" insulated knee boots with 2" block heels. Safe to walk in deep snow and ice.

  14. Cali,

I'm a big fan of animal (Cheetah) prints. I have a  camp shirt both in short sleeve and long sleeve in the cheetah print. I wear capris and leggings in cheetah print and yes I do have shoes (heels)and boots in the cheetah print. I also have a  cross  body bag and do color my little pinkies in cheetah print color.

When it gets cold here, I have cheetah print fleece, jacket and puffy down vest.  I really like the cheetah print look. Go for it!

  15. I carry a cross body bag when I wear leggings and skinny jeans. I have no problem at all with that and get some compliments on my Vera Bradley bags with my initials embroidered on the bag. The bags were gifts from my daughter, who said if your going to carry a bag dad, you have to do in style!

And I do carry a cross body bag when wearing men's pants and my heels, too. I also like carrying wristlet bag.
