So, trying these out with a pair of ballet boots. I just trimmed the heels to level things out. Last time I tried this was 11 years ago. My last try was with a pair of pointe shoes inside the ballet boots to support my foot. 

I am a little out of practice, and my test walk today was not as good as that video. I think with a little tweak for fit I think this setup should work well.

Sorry to hear that your heel broke, at least you did have a back up pair of shoes.

Well, someone who looked like he runs up larger bar tabs then I make in a year asked if they had any heels in men’s 12 when he saw me trying on a pair. Maybe I planted the seeds of another convert

So, got invited to a charity event at the Miami Louboutin boutique (sals guy loves me even though I’ve never purchased a pair there). I’m in the area so figured I’d try the Pigalle 120’s and see how much better I’m doing in 5” heels. Turns out the event is hosted by Orianne Collins, wife of Phil. Might be posting a pic with me in 4” heels boots with famous people later today

Yes, they are 4.5 inches! =)

Having a pair of practical heels you can live in is not a bad thing. I look forward to hearing how well you do figuring out how you like to match heels to clothes.

I wore mine all over Walt Disney World when friends came to visit, and did not have a single issue.

Well, I'd suggest you figure out something she's wanted you to do for a while for her, and plan a night making her feel special, offering these as something 'interesting' for the intimate time, but while making sure your focus is on her, with these being just a little extra spice.

Yea, I have the pointy toe ones, and wore them last night for practice.

Found a price on a pair of wedge Moncler shearling boots I could not pass up. Feels like a 4” heel, will measure when I get home. Just wore on a 1.3 mile nature hike in the Everglades (taking advantage of Mid February 85f weather).

@KneeBooted I love my Sorel wedges, and have found a few pairs in clearance sales. Wore a pair to three parks in Disney World a couple weeks ago with zero issues keeping up.

I think many of us would not mind if 3” heels became unremarkable. I found more of a side shot to show the heels.

Shopping together should be a blast. You should have zero issues in the Louboutin store as both here in Miami have never flinched at letting me try something on

Am thinking of hemming or rolling the cuff so the pants ride the boots better.

That sounds about right, it’s not much. You can feel it but I’ve never had an issue wearing them at job sites.

Key West is fine, the trailer parks in the middle keys took the hit.
