  1. Two years later.... And to think I joined HHP so I could play arcade games and view everyones pics. So far so good I am having a good time visiting this forum. I have been to a few heel meets which increased my courage and experience in heeling in public. I have enjoyed meeting fellow members. Having been a long time visitor of this site, I have to say it feels good be able to share my outings in boots with everyone. Not much has changed since my intro, I still have just my tall black cowboy boots and my tall brown high heel boots from my avatar. I guess there is only so many pairs of boots that I need. But if I ever another dream pair, I will share my pics with everyone.

  2. But you know, it's a reflection on the manager that hired the doodle and the training he gave him. A good manager would probably not have hired the kid in the first place, but even if the kid showed potential, he should have been better trained. Sneakers without laces? I would have sent the doodle home to put on proper dress shoes and present a professional sales appearance. I'd even rather see him in heels than no-lace sneakers! LOL

Had a similar experience, I went to a Circuit City store to buy an Ipod 8GB for my wife as a Christmas present. None of the young male employees offered to help me, I was wearing my knee high cowboy boots. I saw them goofing around and heard one of them calling somebody a faggot. Either they meant me or they were too busy calling each other names. So I walked out and took my business to Best Buy. It's no wonder Circuit City went out of business!

  3. It was really nice to meet fellow members of HHP, iloveboots and spikesmike. Hope to see you in future heel meetings. I was admiring everyone's boots tonight. Tonight I wore a red dress shirt with my blue denim riding jeans and my boots in my avatar, topped off with a leather jacket. Thanks again for your sincere compliments about my boots. Tonight there were several firsts for me. I have taken a public bus to get to a heel meet, and it was less crowded being a weeknight. I have visited a thrift store in Chicago in my boots, and browsed around to kill some time before going to the restaurant. And it was my first time heeling in a restaurant with table service. Overall there was little to no reaction about my boots, and all in all a good outing.

  4. I always thought it would be cool to play Pole Position, Star Rider, S.T.U.N. Runner or some other game while in knee-high 5" stiletto leather boots - just the cool factor that would kick in - especially if you were really good at it.

Even though I have games like Pole Position and S.T.U.N. Runner on a Midway Arcade Classics game for Nintendo Gamecube, it would still be fun to play it in an actual arcade, and enjoy the simulated feel of boots on a motorcycle or against the pedal of a race car.

Oh how I miss going to the arcades when I was younger, you don't see too many of them, like in the 80s and 90s. Here in the US, we have chains of restaurants like Dave & Busters, and Gameworks where adults can dine and play arcade games, some classic, some newer. That would probably be a best bet for playing games arcade style in heels/boots.

  5. to all: I really meant the arcade games on THIS web site in particular but I do have one that I bought (old school kind with pacman plus a few others I can play) with the joy stick (come to think of it, I need to hook it back up to my T.V. system so I can play that one too):) I've played that one wearing my NINE WEST blade heel boots, feels so good, like I'm on top of the world so to speak!

I thought that was what you meant. Yes I enjoy playing these arcade games in my brown boots as well.

  6. I remember back when I was in college, playing upright arcade games in my cowboy boots. I enjoyed playing Ms. Pacman in boots since it was just a joystick only no buttons to push. There was an arcade game called STUN Runner by Atari, and loved kicking up my heels to climb over the top of the simulated motorcycle for that game. I was very self conscious at the time of going into an arcade with people staring at my boots. But now I wish they still had those type of classic games in an arcade. You don't really see them much lately. How I wish I could find a classic upright game like Pacman or Ms Pacman, and stand tall in my current pair of brown high heel boots.

  7. Today for the first time I went to the library in my high heel boots. My wife sent me an online instant message, asking if I wanted to go see their free movie showing. I replied, "only if you don't care about my boots". She said "I don't care what you wear, I just want to see the movie". So I changed, and we met up at the library after I got off work. My thought process was that there would not be a lot of kids and giggling teenagers hanging out at the library on a Friday night. My intuition served me well tonight. There were at most 6 people watching the movie, just the two of us and a few older retired people. My wife and I were really into the movie, and nothing was said about my boots, which is how I like it. Overall it was a perfect outing spending 3 hours in boots. I can finally add a library to my list of places to go out in public.

  8. Anyone with a cell phone is a potential poster of your picture from a Walmart, or any other shopping location.

All I ever see at Walmart is the really ugly people who would benefit from wearing something that actually fit, and didn't look like they lived in it for 6 weeks. Most of these contestants wouldn't look so bad if they actually hid their but crack, and bouncing blubber bulges.

All the Walmarts near me don't carry anything this dude is wearing. In my case, the bling is a bit heavy.

Again it goes with the territory. If you go out heeling in public, you have to deal with the public.

Note to self, unless you want your picture taken and posted on People of Walmart, I would not go heeling there. But that's just me of course. Enjoy your heels.

  9. I can relate to that...

I was at the store one evening not too long ago standing at the cash register ready to check out when a group of late-teens, maybe 20's got in line behind me... I heard one girl laugh and say "he's soo gay"...Of course everyone was looking by then, and it was the pair of 3" heel cowboy boots that i'm wearing in my avatar<... I wanted to just drop the few odds and ends I had and head out the door..

It set me back a ways.. I've only been out in anything over 3", maybe 2 times since (without incident I might add).. I've become a good bit more aware of my surroundings..

The only other time I recall that feeling was when I asked a woman out for lunch without checking the left ring finger.....and it was a HUGE wedding ring I might add!... She was very polite about it, but I felt like I wanted to crawl under a rock....

Something similar happened to me as well a few years back, group of young teens at a local chain restaurant. It goes with the territory. And I accept that I have there will be bad outings as well. I just read the advice of our members and hold my head up high. As long as there are more good outings than bad, I will keep on heeling in public.

  10. I finally wore my cowboy boots this summer, considering how hot and humid it was all summer, it felt good to put on my cowboy boots over Labor Day weekend with temperatures in the 70s. My family decided to go to Fuddruckers (USA) for hamburgers, of course there were several families in shorts and sandals, no one really cared that I was in boots, which is how I wish it would be every time.

  11. Hardly a day (or night) goes by where I don't have heels on for some part of the time. What's the point? I'm on earth for a short time and I want to maximize the enjoyment of the shoes I wear, so why abstain, especially because of family issues? I have some conservative clogs and loafers I can wear around family.

And there's no point to abstaining for weather issues either. If it's too hot for boots, switch to sandals or clogs. If it's too cold for those, switch to boots. High heels are available in styles suitable for any weather, so I never let the heat or humidity restrict my wearing heels.

    Steve

Unless you are only into boots like me and a few other members here at this forum, oppressive heat forces me to abstain from wearing them in hot weather.

  12. Just about 2 months without putting on boots, just wore them today for fun, ended my streak. But it is still too hot to wear them in summer. It is nice to sometimes go without thinking about putting them on, or where can I go safely in them. Right now it does not appeal to me, since everyone is out wearing sandals and flip flops. If it was socially acceptable to wear my boots any way I choose without any stares, I would still pass since there is too much humidity.

  13. I like to go out as a guy in heels, mostly. I consider my brown boots to be like another pair of cowboy boots, worn with my blue or black riding jeans and a dress shirt. But I will often wear clothes that might pass as a lady from a distance. Much like Aerosmith's song "Dude Looks Like A Lady", I might mix it up with a red turtleneck or a silky mens dress shirt that could pass as a blouse. I will borrow a slim fitting black leather jacket, and wear my fanny pack over my shoulder like a purse. So I like to wear clothes that go well with my boots, so that people will assume that I am a female and move on. A while back, as I was leaving a gas station. Two men saw me dressed in my tight jeans and boots. One said to his friend "That's a good looking pair of boots." So they only noticed my boots and assumed I was a girl. On another occasion, a cashier at a different gas station saw my boots, and said "Can I help you ma'am?". At this point I didn't mind, but it was a thrill to me to pass as a female, since people just move on and go about their business. Of course not everyone will get that same reaction that I received since we all come in different shapes and sizes. But if you have a good figure, maintain a clean sharp image, you might be ignored in a good way.

  14. I voted yes. My sister had a pair of 6" strappy shoes with a 2" platform. She modeled them in front of us but said she would only wear them indoors. I much as I enjoy them there are some boots that can be a bit suggestive for some ladies and make them feel self conscious. Hopefully OTK and thigh boots will be more common in public, everyday fashion, without being too suggestive or banned from office dress code. Much like our male members who wear thigh boots, I think that ladies who have reservations should go ahead and enjoy a pair for their own personal fashion preference, assuming that they do their heeling in safe places, or with an escort or group.

  15. It was at the Chicago Heel Meet 2-27-09. I can handle about a 3-4 hour outing in boots. It is important to be comfortable. Put on my brown boots to walk to the car. Then as I arrived at the location, I kicked them off in my car just to give my feet a rest for a brief moment. Shortly thereafter I "rebooted" to go to the party. After returning home that night, I finally took them off after one last glance in the mirror, for a total of 4.5 hours. Gave my feet a good massage. That's good enough for me, no need to break any records.
