  1. I'm a pretty casual enthusiast, so the only abbreviation I see regularly is WIWT.

This is why I love this forum.  I have worked for a company for 11 years whose name is literally an initialism.  Tragically, in my entire time there I have never heard anyone call an initialism what it is, and abuse of the definition of acronym is rampant.  This ends now... thanks for the reality check!

Great looking outfit, but can' really see due to the shade in the picture.

Yeah I felt like I was fighting the high noon sun.  Usually standing in the open sun provides the best light, but when it comes from straight above nothing seemed to work.

But, I would agree, our country needs more respect for law and order, and there needs to be consequences for failing to cooperate.  Our country just can't seem to adopt any "middle of the road" ideas/procedures/laws...  We seem to always be at one extreme or the other.  But, who am I to talk.  I told some TSA little jerk to "screw off" the other day while trying to get through crew security entrance.  I'm sure I will hear about it when I go back to work though.

I feel like in many situations people value equality over fairness.  It's the "if I have to suffer then everyone else must suffer too" attitude.  I'd be ok with the crew bypassing TSA completely, I think it's fair because they're the ones flying the plane every day, and this is their livelihood.  But I bet some people would resent any exemption.

Perhaps I have mentioned this before, it might be time to part ways with that old truck, even though I don't really want to. The transmission for that truck is currently sitting on a makeshift table in my garage, waiting for me to do something with it, or not. The problem is, even if I successfully repair the transmission, I'm still stuck with a rusty old truck. My wife kind of needs a cargo van for her business. You see where I'm going with this?

The scrapyard is now paying $10 for every 100 pounds of metal, so I finally took my wrecked car there to get crushed and walked away with a wad of cash...

Love to hear, well read  anyway, your routine.

I've always laughed at the ultra right Bible thumper. Touting a book written hundreds of years after Jesus's death. Back when Christ walked the earth Men and women wore the exact same clothing and shoes, so I'm pretty sure crossdressing was not on the agenda .

Nowadays when I look around it seems men and women wear much of the same clothing and shoes too, so maybe we're back to square one.

  6. Also I noticed that if there is ever an emergency evacuation that requires evacuation using the inflatable slide rafts, stilettoes have to be taken off as they can puncture the raft.  But such emergencies are rare and I imagine I would have many other things to fret over than having to leave my high heels behind.  I enjoy wearing heels on the plane.

Could do knee high boots as well, since there is going to be walking, but might want to wear them inside my jeans, rather than outside skinny jeans or leggings, as I don't want to push too hard too fast.

I wear knee high boots with 4" heels when flying, and I can get them on and off quickly at security checkpoints without having to sit down.  Some pairs I even wear outside my pants, as it is quicker to slip them on over the pants rather than taking the time to pull the pant legs up and down again.

I have a few new heels to post lately. Here is the first installment. Via Spiga booties in patent leather and suede. Bought from Poshmark for 40 bucks. 4 1/4" heels, no platform, 3/4" block heel. I've worn them out twice already in the first couple days of ownership. They are comfortable to the point where you forget, at times, that you're wearing heels. Downside is that they're leather soles, and will need replacing soon. Somebody else obviously thought that these were comfortable shoes as well. I wonder why they got rid of them. They are, perhaps, a little bit long in the tooth as far as style goes, but that has never bothered me.

Patent AND suede - spiffy!  I am a sucker for mixed material designs, and the buttons are a nice detail too.  These shoes scream to me to be worn with a tuxedo.  I think leather soles are a must in this style, and resoling is hopefully no big deal.  Nice find!

I have started developing plantar Fasciitis, and when I wear heels, anything above 3 inches, I feel TONS BETTER. It really has been strange, and since I'm still bartending, at a nice hotel no less, I am trying to find a way to have a high heel situation, but in a way that nobody can see or notice, as it really isn't a place wear I would like to deal with the response. Any tips?

It’s 2022, I think you can just wear the heels and not worry about it.  If you are serving my drink at a nice hotel wearing heels I’m pretty sure I’d leave a bigger tip ;)
