  1. @mlroseplant I like those mules, they are "retro". And I like the same formula. I got these Steven Madden Luxe last fall, suede upper.  Size  8.5 are  5 1/2" heel and 3/4" platform (size 8.5) - in my size 10 that 5 5/8” heel. these are among my steepest heels, smaller steps.

  2. @chesterx if you really want to go BOLD and I mean really BOLD try shorts with knee high stilettos boots. Look through Cali World and you will see that I have tons of pictures with shorts and different type of shoes.

I go to work in shorts most summers (except this one) and I always wear heels.  Wedges are always good with heels, but a nice block heel also go well. See picture below, Steve Madden Manners.  Be careful not to burn your legs, especially the inner thighs; those haven't seen the sun for years. And I hope they used serum on your legs after the waxing. And you may even want to try the bronzer next time.

  3. There are a few types/styles of shoes that I have ruled out from ever wearing. Not because of their looks  but more to do with the shape of my foot.  Pumps just don't have a chance to fix, period.  My toe box is just too large and every pair I have tried cuts into my tendons.  Same thing with most single strap over the toe box.

But i never thought i would get knee high stiletto boots and then wear them on the outside of my skinny jeans. A look I have worn many times this year.

  4. I agree with you @mlroseplant.  I have 6 pairs of sandals that are worn out and I had planned on replacing.  I have been looking at heels from Steve Madden, Charles David, and many others as well as DSW, Macy's, .. and I'm only seeing a sea of 3.5 inch heels, really something approaching 4 inches. 5 inch heels with 2 inch platforms, etc.

Lucky for me I have over 60 heels that I wear and 5 replacement pairs still in their boxes. And with this pandemic I rarely need to go any place, so I not wearing many different heels.

I imagine I will continue to wax as I am told it gets easier the longer you do it. I may have my arms done next time.

It does get easier as time goes on. I have my legs waxed so I can sports tape them. After about 15 times, I don't have much hair left and what grows back is lighter in color and thickness. The waxing professionals are jealous that I don't have as much hair on legs as they do. :giggle:. And the waxing now is nothing like the first several times, it's a piece of cake. But our waxing places are now closed again. so it will be a while until I get my done again. I got the large package and go every 4 - 6 weeks in the winter.

Make sure they wax your toes as well.

Italian heels dot com. Watch out though, i bought 3 pair from them. Loved them, shown two of them here, red and light grey, both incedibly well worn. My black pair, 100 dollars, eaten by my dog. No dog, go for it. You won't come back.  Just saying.

I suggest dog food as a better use of you money.
