  1. It's been awhile since I have written here.  I guess since I have been working from home for the past 21 months, I have had few interactions with the public in general.

The other day I needed to replace the laces on my Soda Agenda booties.  You use to be able to find shoe laces everywhere, not any more. After failing to find them at several stores I end up at a small family run store in the mall.  They had a spoll of round nylon lace and cut and made me a pair or laces, then gave them to me for free.  While that was happening I had a conversation with one of their sales associates while she was fitting a woman customer. She wanted to know how high my heel was (5 inch with a 1.25 inch platform). I told her it was about a 3.5 to 3.75 inch rise, and then she told me that she could never walk in heels that high. 2.5 inches was her max and she feels like she is about to tip over at that height. How many times have you heard that? At that point I had to interact with the person making my laces and the conversation ended.

Plus need to find a 3 inch heel that I can wear as a daily shoe as my 4 inch ones are more dressy.

One day you will have many more than a just a few heels.

I never had more that 8 men's shoes at one time my whole life. I now have around 60 heels and another 4 trainers. Men's shoes never fit me correctly so I hated to shopping for them.

  3. Pre-pandemic sometimes up to 16 hours. Now I have only wore them 12 hours, and most days only 4 hours since I'm mostly barefooted at home.  I am in heels almost even time I leave my house and when I'm on ZOOM and walking.  Four hours is not enough for my body. The more time in heels the less pain killers I need to take..

You must have large pinkie nails to get that much detail on them.

My fingernail artist moved back to her hometown, so I have only been getting clear gel on my split nails to hold them together.  Right now I am training my pedicurist to do art. She is getting better with each visit and looks forward to each new (design) challenge I bring.

  5. Because I live in a coastal zone with lagoons and butterfly habitats, we need permits to touch trees of certain width and wider. Even when the home owner is under court order to remove such a tree.  There is a person around here who has turned their neighbor in to the authorities. I've watched several 175 foot trees drop during a big storm.

Just to be clear, you go kayaking in sleveless tops in temperatures of 40F (ish)?

Surely at that temperature a wetsuit is mandatory, or is it just me who only start showing body parts at 60F+

Kayaking in a wetsuit would be tough since it would restrict your movement.  In those temps you need warm non-bulky layers. I usually will have a tight fitting thermal long sleeve top (a ski base layer), a high neck sleeveless turtleneck, a warm hoodie, and lifejacket. You don't want binding of multiple tops around your shoulders while padding.

I wear many turtlenecks in the late-fall till it gets warm again, about half of them are sleeveless.

Mom pants or mon jeans is a slang term for high-waisted women's jeans that were originally fashionable in the late 1980s and early 1990s.

They are characterized by being high waisted (4+ inches above the belly button), baggy, high ankle in length (short), with a flat curvature for the buttocks. Non-faltering.

I prefer slim and skinny jeans, especially those that are hyper-stretch.
