  1.

I can understand the allure of glossy stocking/tights, but never got into wearing them myself. Maybe it's because I want to show off my pedicure.  I either go barefooted in sandals or wear socks in my other heels, sometimes knee high socks. I really like leggings, especially with boots.

  2. I only had a small part of each big toes nail removed. Yes its painful for a few days, but so are ingrown toe nails when they get stepped on or when you kick something (by accident or soccer).  Any toe surgery is ALWAYS very painful because you are always on your feet.

Besides, I get regular pedicures, so I need my toe nails.  Cure nail fungus with light, not smelly chemicals.

Heelers : This is a subject I agree with entirely. I have been able to avoid the ingrown toenail problem - My foot doctor removed all of my toenails years ago.

That's rather extreme to remove all your toe nails. You will forever miss out on pedicures.  I learn so much listening to the other clients while sitting there.

Damn those cheap Chinese prices! You were totally forced indeed!

I'd buy Ali empty of shoes too if it weren't that from bitter experience I've learned that getting the right fit is next to impossible.

Not AliExpress, but Express,  an American fashion retailer.  I have only bought clothing from them (love their leggings/jeans and tops), so this is my try at their shoes

  5. I stopped buying shoes sold as men's back in 2010.  I still have some old running shoes from then that I use when my backyard is under water and I need to do something out there.  Men's shoes never fitted my feet and led to many reconstructive surgeries on my feet, ankles, and knees.

Sold as Men's shoes: 5 (include my chest waders)

Sold as Women's shoes: over 70 including running and flat sandals
