Dear Friends,
Sadly, on account of work and the encroaching summer heat, I managed only one walk this week...
Hopefully, the evening temperatures will settle down and I will get to enjoy a few decent walks before the summer heat really sets in...

Woo hoo!!!!
Dear Friends, I just went for a short walk tonight. 2.7km... Checked the time when I finished? It was only 33 minutes!!
That's a walking pace of almost 5 km/h, in my favourite 5" heel boots!!!
The worst thing was I ran out of time. Could easily have kept walking for another 30 minutes and would've gladly done so. These boots are so much fun to wear!
My feet and calf muscles feel good. I feel good!
And it's good to be back!!! Cheers

Ok. I had a hectic weekend. But I did manage to slip out for a stroll on Sunday evening.
Anyway, thanks to the benefits of modern technology, I can report comfortablely maintaining a respectable walking pace of 3km/hr... Cheers

Hi All,
Going to give my favourite boots an overdue polish later today. The leather loses it's lustre slowly and it's hard to notice. It's not until they're polished and you think, "wow!"
Will try to get some before and after shots if the lighting is suitable...

They're Boutique 9 "Feliece" Boots. I purchased them through Amazon around 4 years ago. I think they were from the winter of 2013-2014? Pity, because so many nice boots are around for only 1 season...
You can find them on Ebay occasionally and they fit true to size.
I have 16 pairs of boots in my collection. 14 pairs of high heel boots and 2 pairs of flat heel boots. But there are many reasons why these ones are so special and why I like them so much. For boots with 5" heels, I cannot believe how comfortable they are!
Only yesterday I was standing my the kitchen drinking a cup of coffee, when I looked down and realised I was wearing them. They were so comfortable, I had forgotten I had them on. I don't get any pain in the balls of my feet, even when I stand in one place for a long time! These boots are the most comfortable high heels I have ever worn.
Of course I think they are a stylish, nice looking boot. Although a few years old, I think they still look contemporary. (I guess quality never goes out of style??
). Also, I do like the block heel. I feel it's a nice fusion of the masculine and the feminine, as opposed to stiletto heels... (Although, I confess, I do have 6 pairs of stiletto heel boots, plus four pairs of wedge heel boots. But there is always room for more... )
And of course there is the sound. They make such a powerful sound when I'm walking...

Well, the rain cleared last night, so I drove to one of my favourite secluded spots and set off for a 1 hour walk. Wore my favourite black boots. I know I should dive into my collection and mix it up a bit...
But we know how it is...
We all have that one special pair! All my boots are special. I wouldn't have bought them otherwise!!! , But there can only be one favourite pair!
Anyway, my calves were a little sore, but my feet were fine. So, my high heel fitness continues to improve!
I used to marvel at the women on the railway station, wearing their sexy high heel boots, I wondered how they would manage a 10-20 minute walk to and from the railway station every day. (Not all of them got driven to the station by car).
Well, now I know it can be done.
Now I can walk in my 5" heel boots for an hour without noticeable discomfort. Fun! Fun! Fun!!!
I still watch and daydream about walking to the station in my boots, wearing boots all day at work, and then walking home in my boots at the end of the day.
For the moment, I'm still dreaming. For the moment I am still discreet. But not forever!
The day will come when I stride out confidently in public, wearing my boots!

I agree and have embraced the sound of boot heels now, and I think the audible feedback helps me walk in a steady way with better posture. It makes sense if you think about how audible feedback is used in ceremonial marching.
I admit it was not initially one of my reasons for wearing boots. My coworkers point out that they always know when I am walking to a meeting because they can hear the boots thump on the hollow floor panels. I am not adverse to this kind of attention but perhaps others find ways to minimize it. Perhaps some women wear heels just for the extra height and they don’t want to draw particular audible attention?

They are Feliece boots from Boutique 9. They were well made leather boots with a leather lining. I agree they look great and are unbelievably comfortable for 5" heel boots. No surprise they are my personal favourites...
Sadly, they were from the winter of 2013-14 but do occasionally show up on ebay...
The faux leather (pu) leggings are from Vila and are also very comfortable. These ones are no longer available, but similar ones are easy to find.

Well friends, I won't improve my high heel fitness by sitting on the lounge watching tele. It's about priorities!
So I donned my my fav boots for the second time this week and drove to a favourite secluded spot for a 45 minute walk.
And I'm getting better.
Towards the end I was really starting to stride with balance and confidence, just like the good ol' days! Need some more calf muscle fitness, but it will come.
Forgotten how much fun it is wearing high heels!!! And glad to be rediscovering it!!!

Looking mighty fine in great boots and leather.....Glad you were able to rediscover the joy of getting out publicly in the boots we love to wear....Like you said, I'm sure all the needed muscles will tone up again after a few outings....

Greetings to my fellow High Heels Illuminati!!! I have been absent and inactive for way tooooo long...
So last night, for the first time in a very long time, I donned my favourite boots. They're Boutique 9 Felice Knee Boots with 5" heels. I then found a quiet part of suburbia and went for a 40 minute walk.
During this time, I remembered;
1. It's been way too long since I went for a walk in a pair of my High Heel Boots
2. How comfortable these particular Boots are, given they have 5" heels
3. How much fun it is to wear Heels, especially when they're comfortable
4. What a great sound they make when walking. Almost hypnotic...
Anyway, I'm back and hoping to wear my collection of Boots as often as possible
, before the hot summer weather arrives...
