One question: In the 9 weeks that you worked at Aldo's, did you ever see or serve another man that bought heels for himself?
No. But, I was told by several of the co-workers there that there are a few. Plus, the night guy (Khaled) is said to wear them "but not too high".
Well, Brittany, Lori, and another lady that works there has seen me buy and try on heels there before. Brittany is the one who advised me to apply. And, did the rest of the staff at your store know that you wore heels yourself?
and, if they did, what was their reaction to knowing of your wearing heels? (I guess that's more than one question if you spread it out - )
I was told that I could have, had I opted to, wear them while working. Lori is a gorgeous blonde, 6' tall, with a size EU42 foot, and she wears them all the time.
They were fine with it and the reason I liked shopping there was there lack of surprise.

My time at Aldo, even though it was only Saturdays and only for 9 weeks, was interesting. First, I took the advice of friends here and learned all I could, online, about the company, styles, and policies they have. Then I looked through a lot of style and fashion sites, and at least tried learning the style that are "in", and how they look on different body types. I was rather taken aback by the lack of beautiful women who not only shopped mornings there, but the few who did didn't really need any kind of help. I may have worked with 20 or so women the entire time I worked there. That was nice, I do say, and the conversations went well. A few actually took and appreciated my advice. It may have been a comfort factor being a guy, but I don't think so. I saw it more of the people who came in that time of day seemed to know what they wanted already.

Sorry guys, never even came back to this thread before right now... Well, we're speaking, but things are a bit weird. I know she'll be at the club tonight, and I have the night off from bouncing duties, so I'll be in some high ones for sure. The good thing about the last 2 weeks is I've learned I have some real good female friends who have been good to me. I'll let you know what happens tonight. Thanks for the concerns and support!

Lastly, how does your shaving factor into your shoe-wearing plans? I've never done it myself, but I thought once you start shaving, you sort of want to keep doing it. If you do, I'm sure you'd want to wear some hose afterwards, and then boots or shoes with them. Does this mean you'll be wearing heels more than before? Certainly you could make that case to your wife (if you needed justification to wear them more).
Jwhite,
Yes, it makes a big impact. Take this week, for instance, I haven't been able to shave my legs (as my power was out for a week), and I am amazed at the "need" I feel to do them today (like in a few minutes). After I do, I always feel the need to slip on stockings under my pants. Then, well, I want to go heeling! LOL

For me?? Good: 1. Have grown to accept, fully, my love for heels and found this place. 2. Now own 28 pairs of beautiful shoes. Most I'd ever owned before was 5 pairs... 3. Can now walk in 6+" heels well (always could walk in 5"ers), and am getting better. 4. Meeting all of you! Bad: 1. Too many shoes, not enough time/money! LOL 2. Not quite as comfortable in public as I'd like, but getting there...

I'm just wondering where this thread has gone...

GNH, Yes, I have seen it, and it's almost half as bad as Boston's. At least DC has a grid-like street design...Boston?? Not so much...LOL

You seem to be at a point in your life that you are accepting who you are. I was also 33 when I found that I like this part of me, and I didn't want to surpress it anymore.

I have worn, several time of late, pants (jeans and polyester) with my new JS 5 1/4" sling-backs with no problems at all. I think the better than shoes fit, the less it'll happen (plus the longer/shorter the pants)...

I think the question is: Do your toes hurt when the heels are not on? Are they forming bunyons or hammer-toe??

Thank you for telling us about yourself. Everything you've said in your post is so much like many of us it's amazing. You'll find peace. I have, and this place helped immensely. You'll get it... How old are you?

I change my mind. I want to have a drink with Kneehighs.

I am just over 6', and fit either snug in a 36" waist, or loose in a 38". I weigh, currently at 225lbs. Size misses 16's faily loose, 14's (especially in higher rise) tight. I have an awsome pair of Derrion (Beyonce's) jeans in size 14 (mid rise) and they are a tough too small...so I'll lose the extra 10lbs (I hope LOL). 32" inseam normally, also, so go long with the heels I want to cover. Go normal on heels I want to show (like Saturday night).

Couldn't continue to work 3 jobs when I was needed to open up at 7am on Saturdays, yet I wasn't home from my 55hr weekday job til 4am. Put in my 2 weeks back the week before Thanksgiving, and was sad doing it. Just couldn't do it. Nice 2 months though, even if I really didn't get to wear my heels in store like I had hope, nor really fit too many beautiful feet with gorgeous shoes (did some of that though!LOL).
